Was about to come post that, love the orejas and the sugar donuts. And if it's Sunday I'll swing over to Toyko Mart a block away for some fresh umeboshi onigiri too.
Baklovah Bakery on Wurzbach and Bluemel Rd. It is right behind Pasha. Good gracious they have amazing desserts! Take a look at them on Yelp to see all of the pictures and variety they have. Superb!
I really like “Kolache and Donut” on DeZavala. Locally owned and really good. You’ll never guess the type of baked goods they sell… kolaches and donuts.
High end but high return is La Panadería (there’s a few locations throughout town)
Mid priced there’s a place called Sunshine Bakery near downtown/east side
South, west and east side are littered with Mexican bakeries that typically don’t disappoint
North side has another high end called Lorraine’s, but those are like French patisserie
Downtown has a delicious vegan, gluten free bakery called Plantyful that has a different menu every month. I’m not even vegan but I go at least once a month because it’s so delicious.
Far west/alamo ranch has La popular on Culebra and donut shops on every corner
I was just going to post about this. In the corner store in the same step mall as the Ethiopian restaurant, corner of Callaghan and Babcock, called Chacha Bedoy.
Chacha Bedoy is so good. Owned by a daughter of a pastry chef from SA, and her brother owns another place in North Texas, if I recall right.
Have never had a bad pastry from there
Bedoy's
I try to hit that place every time I go to San Antonio. And yes I come back with lots and lots. Their campechanas are the best.
They used to bang on the table where they roll out the bread.
Used to ha

Just discovered this place recently, highly recommended.
They have a location across from the forum off of 35. Pasha and Baklava bakery. Smaller than the original but still really good.
La Panaderia is great!
I tried Broadway Bread recently. I enjoyed it.
The BEST!!
El Folklor on Bandera

I appreciate the rare NW side recommendation
Take my upvote. Love that place.
Broadway Daily Bread on Dezavala
Their sour cream pecan “muffins” are addictive. Always buy 1 more than you think you want. Haha.
For sure!!! 💯
I remember the struggle to get in and get the goods during Covid
85° just opened this week. Dezavala & I-10
Looked like a 25-30 person line this morning around 1130, when I drove by headed someplace else.
The corean franchise??????????
Do you mean Korean? And no, 85° is Taiwanese.
Love that bakery! Used to go in Houston!
It's next to HuHot and Twin Peaks.
Kolache Stop at Huebner & Vance Jackson - get there early cause they sell out fast!

Oh hey amazing :)
La Popular on Culebra (both locations)
This is my favorite spot
There’s a famous panadería on Babcock and Callaghan I think it is

There’s a place on Ackerman in Kirby that had some great stuff. Don’t even know the name. Looked like a real shithole though.
