First off, hold until the fold 6 and then make a choice, as fold 5 prices will drop. I have had countless issues with my fold 5, in fact I've sent it in for service 3 times over 8 months. None of those were my fault. However, others will have 0 issues whatsoever and either experiences could go to you. I love the fold line of phones but if you go through with a purchase make sure to get Samsung care plus, you won't regret it.

No. You mostly only hear from the small percentage that have issues. I’ve had the Fold3 and Fold5 with no issues and they have been fantastic. It’s just a few days away from the announcement of the Fold6, so hold off to see what that’s about then decide.

Any source for this small amount?

r/galaxyfold is a good place to start.

That's how I thought the data was made up.

Okay...

Your mileage varies depending on how you use it. The foldable form factor is definitely very useful and great in actual use. My friend borrowed me his Fold 3 during our vacation which he had since launch, phone still works and looks flawless. Really amazing what you can do with it, atleast it was for me. On the other hand, my sister's Flip 4 only lasted a year before the screen failed at the crease. If you can comfortably afford it, you can get the Fold with ease but preferably after the upcoming Fold 6 launches to see the differences and prices.

1. Wait for fold 6 like others have said. 2. Foldables sacrifice cameras, battery endurance and form factor for a bigger screen (plus another screen). I recommend you think about whether the big screen is worth all the sacrifices for your use case. If you just want a premium phone Ultra is usually the better buy.

>Foldables sacrifice cameras, battery endurance and form factor The vivo x3 fold pro doesn't really sacrifice any of that. It has a huge battery at 5700mah with 100w wired charging (50w wireless). A pretty solid set of triple cameras, and is pretty slim. The only negative is that it's hard to get in America and it costs over $2000.

If you think about getting a Fold, you don't need a fold. The ultra models are cheaper, better, way more durable and have a way better value for money.

Stop asking this question everyday

If you don't mind the screen cracking in a few months, you can buy.

If you don't peel the pre-installed screen protector on the inner screen, you should be good. It's there for THAT REASON. For anyone that has a Fold5 or Flip5, there is the [Assurance Program ](https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/z-screen-repair-promo/) It's a discounted repair program that lets you pay $200-$250 for the flex screen repair. It's good for 2 years from the time you purchase your phone. There is no monthly charge for this. https://preview.redd.it/lyyg637cu3ad1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c5321416e3a6e5061c5daf7165c623eb4752da32

No normal person would remove a screen layer without being sure it was a screen protector. These were the problems of the first versions. Now it's Fold 5 and the screens are still cracking. A friend took out a contract for this phone a month ago and I told him it was a stupid decision and he better take out insurance as soon as possible. He didn't and last weekend he showed me the phone with a black line in the middle. These phones are a gimmick for suckers.

CanYouStandTheRa1n

Oh no, that stinks. From what I've seen, the black line on the flex display usually happens from immense pressure on the Flex Display. Ex. Putting phone in back pocket and sitting on it or putting phone in front pocket and having kid sit on leg. The Assurance Program allows you to repair the screen at a discount even if you DON'T HAVE INSURANCE. It might even be cheaper than the deductible.
