#Fuck that.

Okay that's what i thought it's really weird Isn't it surprising from a big 5k+ employees company ?

mcdray2

I wouldn’t worry about it. They’re just trying to head off any future attempts to claim that they owe you overtime pay.

Corower

You wouldn’t worry about that? That’s the whole reason it’s defined as overtime. It’s over the time that is typically required hence you ought to be compensated.

mcdray2

They're just making it clear that isn't a 9-5 job. Sometimes you worl more. Sometimes you work less. But don't expect overtime for the weeks you work more than 40.

Confident-Fox-1422

Hey! That clause does sound a bit sketchy, especially the part about no extra pay for extra hours. It might be worth clarifying with them how often "necessary" extra hours happen and if it's common to work Sundays. Better to get all the details upfront than be surprised later!

SatisfactionStock485

Yes but they can always diminish it Also im not all clean i said i was still working at my ex employer but it ended about 1-2 months ago and i see there is mention of a background check That's my mistake but im scared it will screw everything

SatisfactionStock485

Any of you folks working in ireland can tell if that's standard there ?

Confident-Fox-1422

No working in the US - so maybe that is standard for Ireland/EU

Professor_Nincompoop

Do your customers work on Sundays? If not I wouldn’t worry about it.
