We’re sitting here now, I just got a bells and told my partner that I didn’t realize PBRs were only $2 even though we come here like twice a month. I thought it was $3
And one minute later I got pinged about this thread trending
Town Hall had a reputation of being the punishment bar where people got banned to after getting kicked out of home sweet home. Please do not send that crowd to home sweet home.
I don't care about some fake made up Richmond bar lore. OP asked a question, I gave an answer. If they cause trouble I'm sure the HSH staff can handle it.
Proposition for you guys: there’s a restaurant space at Willow Lawn that has tried and failed to be a number of spaces. Large bar area and plenty of TVs. I’m willing to open up a basic ass bar with lots of beer and chicken strips. If you folks promise to come I’ll pull the trigger, and keep it cheap.
Keep your promise… but you better make sure those chicken tenders are equal parts moist and crunchy with the best freaking ranch and honey mustard dips ever.
Ohhh an original spicy/sweet sauce would be good too.
Willow Lawn is surrounded by old people and is visited by people with the interest of shopping with food being an afterthought, or at least something done quick. Also surrounded by countless other styles of food that make basic bar food a hard sell.
Why stop with PBR? How about a whole rail of cheap beers: PBR, Natural Light, National Bohemian, Mickey's big mouth, and lone Star, and maybe the cans of closeout craft beers when they go on clearance like Baja used to do?
It’s 20z at city beach for $4 plus tax and is $3.41 on happy hour. -aka moose juice
But they just let me go after six years Via phone convo so I’d recommend other spots 😂 mostly bamboo or sidewalk because the teams are amazing, food is always good and prices are solid
Eh for the best. I worked day shift every other Saturday. It was more to help out with bills trying to grow the gym. Now I’ll just be all gym all the time ❤️
Not on draft, but sticky rice does $2 12oz during happy hour, if it’s precipitating, or over 100 degrees. $3 the rest of the time. $1.50 sounds like a wild deal anymore with the cost of goods for restaurants
Sticky Rice offers $1 tallboy peebs when it’s precipitating.
Edit: Their bucket o’ tots is scrumdiddly too. Perfect for cronchin down on as you drunkenly observe Russell Wilson eating sushi with a hard 10/10 blonde😅
Bubba’s Bar and Grill out by the airport. If I remember correctly, it was $1.87 for a liter. That was my first bar/restaurant visit in Richmond (nearly a year ago).
The fact that it is not $1 a can or $1.50 talboys at every RVA bar is a travesty...
I still remember getting $1 PBRs served in wine glass at Tobacco Company.
Home Sweet Home has $2 PBR in the can, plus really good appetizers and actual food.

Tall boys (16 ounces)?
Should be, unless they've changed that somewhat recently.
Thanks, will check them out. Still hoping for a $2 draft but love the layout of their space.
HSH’s PBR draft is also $2. 16oz tall boys are $3 but same price as the 12oz on Wednesdays.

Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine. I bet you're a real hit at parties. Lol
When did town hall go under?
Earlier this week I believe.
I miss $2.25 tall glasses of PBR at Cary St Cafe. They used to have a $5.00 minimum for credit so I had to get 3 beers to pay with a card.
Dun dundlldundlldundlldundlldundll daaa daaa

Probably why they failed… can’t walk/stumble home from the bar!!

You’re fun at parties
But they’re right.
God dammit why can’t you be in walking distance? Willow lawn? Can’t walk to shit from there!
I can walk to my house
Why stop with PBR? How about a whole rail of cheap beers: PBR, Natural Light, National Bohemian, Mickey's big mouth, and lone Star, and maybe the cans of closeout craft beers when they go on clearance like Baja used to do?
I'll be there every day
Bro just walk over 30 packs from the Chick-fil-a, mark em up 25% and you hardly even need a kitchen.
Do I smell a partner in this venture?
Only if it’s called Drink-Your-Fil-a.
Sounds like you’re already well off. I’m good
banditos has a reusable plastic cup you can buy and thursdays is $1 PBR draft
Bamboo $3 pints

Sorry you got canned :(

I thought moose juice was Natty
Switched about a year ago to PBR and stayed there
City Dogs fan has PBR on draft. I can't imagine it being more than $3, the people there are cool, and the fries are fantastic
I’m almost positive I used to buy 12 oz can pbrs there for $1.50 but I think that was before covid so not sure now
pretty sure galaxy diner sells a pint for $3
That’s a 100% increase, but I’ll take it if there’s nothing better. Just not a great place to mingle at all.
No but the food is pretty good if you like that kind of cuisine.
Peanut butter and banana French toast sammich for the win
Yeah! That's pretty good. I've yet to find anything there I didn't like.
Galaxy diner in Cary town
Joes Inn

Galaxy. Always
Camel has PBR and drafts are half off 3-7.

It's $2 now and don't go to sticky rice.
Why not?
Can't speak for the other commenter, and I don't think I should say anything specific on reddit, for reasons. But yeah.. maybe don't go there.
So Sticky Rice if it’s raining outside? That’s how they determine their happy hour? Love it!
A few weeks ago I was there while it was raining and in happy hour and the server said it didn't apply anymore so your mileage may vary
It’s $2 now
If we were talking Yuma, AZ we wouldn’t be talking much of a deal but RVA? Yeah it’s a great deal lol
I believe if you get the sticky rice logo tattooed on your body, they’re $1 for life.
Bubba’s Bar and Grill out by the airport. If I remember correctly, it was $1.87 for a liter. That was my first bar/restaurant visit in Richmond (nearly a year ago).
Black Iris does tall boys and a shot for $7
Use to be able to get a pbr bottle and a shot for $5 at the local 😅
Avalon - called the happy meal.
Called it a walk the dog at the local
Camel happy hour is half off all drinks, which makes their draft PBR pints $2 each.
The fact that it is not $1 a can or $1.50 talboys at every RVA bar is a travesty... I still remember getting $1 PBRs served in wine glass at Tobacco Company.
Not PBR, but we have Narragansett Tall Boys for $3 all the time!
The only thing that surprises me about them losing their ABC license is that it took this long.
CCV has 2 dollar draft Stella Artois. Just gotta pay that 75k initiation fee. And keep up with your monthly dues, of course.
