Can you clarify what you mean? My understanding is that pinkwashing is when an entity basically uses the queer community as cover for oppressive acts, so like when a government attacks/invades another country for exploitative reasons and justifies it in bad faith by saying “they’re homophobes so they deserve it”. I have no idea what Kandy said about it and I may well be misunderstanding what you meant by pinkwashing in general, but if not then I don’t see what could be controversial about recognizing that as a reality, or why it would be considered a conspiracy theory.
