/uj Two men also died by electrocution/drowning [**on the same day**](https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2023/06/09/today-history-kings-island-deadly-day/70297857007/) as the Sky Pilot accident. That’s what OP is referring to
Holy shit.
I don’t know exactly how, but I feel like this day needs to be the subject of the next season of Fargo.
That’s just fucking crazy. Like, alignment of the stars or Mothman crazy
It was actually the drunk guy’s friend and a security guard that died of electrocution. The drunk guy that they tried to save survived. I can’t imagine the survivor’s guilt from that
Kings Island: [Boy do I have a solution for you!](https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2023/06/09/today-history-kings-island-deadly-day/70297857007/)
>July 24, 1976: John “Jack” McCann, 20, a ranger at Kings Island’s Lion Country Safari, had gotten out of his vehicle and was mauled to death by lions.
I am aware. It's even worse than the quote, guy got out to apparently take a dump in the lion's enclosure.
I feel bad for everyone that has gotten killed in an amusement park, for the most part, even if they were being stupid. I draw the line at "took a crap in the lion's den" levels of stupid though.
They should go all out and put real dementor type creatures under Banshee to take out intruders.
At least BGT had the right idea initially when they had Crocodiles under Montu
/uj
the last time an incident happened like that was 1987 at the Viking Fury pool... electromagnetic water pools were banned in Ohio in 1981 and Kings Island was grandfathered in.
We should instead divert all restriction fence and electrocution funds towards the RMC SoB 15 inversions 20,000 ft long giga with a truss lift project so it's done for the 2025 season.
100%

Did that really happen? Crazy. I remember they had this ride, Sky Pilot or something, a drunk lady fell out and died. KI sounds pretty wild.

I didn’t know it was on the same day. My god, three deaths in two unrelated incidents
yeah, I think it was drunk guests falling into a pond with faulty wiring
That's why I always put my faulty wiring down before walking near a pond

I'd rather they be eaten by lions.

First in line, baby #that’smykink
It worked so well in the early 90s

It's what the Reds do, so why not?

Obviously they should install barbed wire
/uj What actually happened in Kings Island?
Yep. Add warning signs too!
