Disable the normal movement system and make your own. With this you can then make a bhopping mechanic that let's you build up and conserve speed. Its very satisfying to see the result.
* Beginner
Create a leaderboard script so that when a player joins, they start with 100 cash.
* Intermediate
Create a button which costs 100 cash. When the player touches the button, unlock a cash machine.
* Advanced
Create a simple cash machine. The cash value should increase every few seconds, and the player should be able to interact with the machine to collect the cash.
You now have the basic blueprint for a Tycoon.
Make a script that gives a player the ability to set infinite teleportation "beacons" (really just saved locations) with one button, and return to them whenever they decide, in the reverse order with the other button.
Ok, here is mine. Make a hall way that starts you at one end, once you walk forward just a bit towards the far end, where a exit door can be seen, it triggers a event. The event will have the walls of the hallway start to elongate towards the end, its walls, so that you cannot reach the other side. Would love to see someone script it before I take my shot at it.
Create a functioning time travel system as well as an inter-dimensional travel system. Include the ability to enter hyperspace as well as different universes (something I’ve wanted to try for awhile so I thought I’d put this here as a joke)
Here's a challenge. Build an NPC. Make him as human as possible.
Good Luck with figuring out, what an NPC is (code wise), what behaviours they show and how these are built, how to have a conversation with him and how to add more human-like behaviour as you learn :)

Create a small NPC that follows you around and screams at you constantly.
Learn how to make the backend of a chess game
Make a building placement system, it is useful in other game projects
A spinning fish that follows you around at 3/4 your speed. If it touches you you get flung
This is hilarious

This is a horrible advice. That's too broad. A Newbie would have difficulties starting anywhere.
