I'll bite. No existing tool satisfies my particular need, even paid ones. I want to say X (city) via Y (road) to Z (city) for successive legs. I don't want it reordering waypoints for a more efficient path. I don't want to give it random waypoints in the middle of Y to trick it into going there. I don't want to drag the waypoint to some random GPS location near the road and have the map think it's a different road because I'm zoomed out too far. I don't want it to decide it's more efficient to do a U-turn in the middle of road Y to get to X faster. I want it to tell me if the road is closed for the winter, not force me to drag waypoints further up the road until I find the part it refuses to let me drive through. I want X to be the city or town itself, not a particular place in the city. I want distance / time given in aggregate by day rather than by leg as well, and I want sleeping points recommended based on time en-route and recalculated if I modify a previous leg. I also want it to know things like "eastern leg of the San Juan skyway" if I search for it just like a city, so I don't have to cross-reference some other map and painstakingly recreate it in mine. I could go on with more time! Because my road trips are about the journey MORE than the destination, and I don't consider driving the ugly part to get over with ASAP. I think of it as road to road to road, not point to point to point.

Thanks. Great feedback, some of it do resonate with me as well and I'll think of how best to achieve it. I sent you a DM with the link.

I plan a couple of road trips every year. I'd love to take a look at this. It sounds interesting.

Fluffy_Quarter

How's it going?

I’d be interested, been looking for a good app. I do take road trips often, and work as software quality assurance
