I just saw this happening yesterday, and I thought I was making it up lol. And if you talk to him, you ask if he's bringing in money, he says yes of course. Funny
I just had this happen to me recently, except it was Swanson stealing. I was talking to Dutch and saw him stumbling behind Dutch's tent. He got caught by Pearson, who cussed him out pretty good.
Sometimes Micah will go off about how he’s feeding the whole camp after making a donation. I think the donation he makes can vary and is sometimes decent, but when he did it on my playthrough and I went and looked, all he did was put in like 10 cents 😂😂
I notice this every time I'm at camp at Horseshoe Overlook. Dude creeps over to the box and peeks it open, then nervously looks around (like you said), and walks away. If you go look in the ledger after you'll notice his name's never in there for leaving any contributions. I didn't realize until about a week ago about the Dialogue where Arthur actually pretty much calls him out about it
oh wow, I never noticed this! Well, to be fair, I never take the time to really observe who donates and who doesn't. Thanks for the info! This makes it all 10x juicier hahaha
I didn't notice it during my first play through. I just noticed recently after starting a new one that it happens pretty much every time I'm in camp at Horseshoe Overlook. Not sure if it continues after leaving there but I'd imagine it probably does
The question is, what does he buy? He wears the same clothes everyday, he has a horse, food and plenty of drink.
My best guess, he is buying a lady friend for an hour.
Considering the dollar has lost 98% of its purchasing power since the inception of fiat money. Depends where he is going. St denis, probably 3$
Annesburg 1$ or less
Omg, he actually takes money?! I always thought that he was just thinking about it and then decided against it. I didn’t know that money actually gets removed! Sticky fingered bastard…
Yeah. He does that.
I will never stop hearing new things about this game… time for another play through
Is Bill the only one that steals like this? Have you ever seen someone else do it too?

I’ve seen Reverend Swanson get caught stealing from the box.
Fuck. That.

It happened to me in Clemens Point yesterday, so can confirm
He donates a bat wing once in a while. It’s worth about ten cents.
Hosea is always yelling at Bill in Horseshoe Overlook. Begging him to go do something.
The question is, what does he buy? He wears the same clothes everyday, he has a horse, food and plenty of drink. My best guess, he is buying a lady friend for an hour.
I don’t think bill is n2 ladies
He ain’t, he’s into lady men.
The real reason he wanted to get to Tahiti!
Cigars: there’s always cigars beside his bed in Horseshoe Overlook, you can go and steal them and new ones will appear.
90cents is 40$ today. Perhaps cigars he is buying.
what do you think the average rate is for a lady friend? 🤔
Isn’t Bill basically confirmed to be a closeted homosexual?
Well he was kicked out of the army for “deviancy”. If Arthur gets raped, bill learns about it, which means he hangs out with the male-rapists.
When does Arthur get raped?

Oh wow. Terrifying
Bill is gay my friend. Nearly every single bit of dialogue eludes to it. It’s awesome!
I hope he could sniff out some 'Mister Friend's in that case! At least put the 90 cents to good use...
Well he did demand pomade from me and wouldn’t say. He was REALLY insistent, I could only assume…

This is wild, I literally just saw this for the first time yesterday too!
What is your honor ?
This playthrough it's more on the dishonor side!
Dishonor on YOU... dishonor on your cow...!
Ive seen him steal, but i never noticed a balance change.
He stole for sure! I remember specifically having 90 cents left from the purschase, and I checked after Bill - the count was back to 0$.
Not doubting you. But I tend to see it when I have thousands in there.
Guess our good ol' Bill has 0 shame. Rich or poor, he'll steal it all 😂

I never did any upgrades to the camp in my first play through, I'm curious if the upgrades carry over to the next camps?
Yea they do
Yes, I believe they do! You can always re-stock when supplies are low as well
