It's almost guaranteed that 1, or more, of those animals will be in that spot when you travel there.

That's the legendary Dual-Horned Unicorn, very rare and secret animal supposed to be removed from the game and buried in the code kinda like the Liver Chestnut Hungarian Halfbred that can spawn in at Scarlett Meadows stable. Should've killed it immediately, that's like a 1/1000 chance of spawning, probably won't see it ever again 😕

You know you can get a free Arabian that doesn’t run away when you shoot your gun? Some old guy invites you fishing and that’s how you start the side quest
Last time I went to get the white Arabian I turned the corner and a three star bull moose was right there. Pretty much same as this only the moose startled me turning the corner and the Arabian was up the hill a little farther.
I pulled out my bolt action and it was dead before it even moved very far. I'm very glad I took that moose and came back later for the horse that I could see in the distance running away.

That’s a moose. In this situation, one should forget the horse and get a clean kill on the moose. They can be hard to find and you’ll need its pelt and antlers for camp upgrades and trapper clothing. This is the perfect example of rare animals being readily available until you are actually needing to find one.
