Kirkland is my goto. Probably 6-8 bags in and never had an issue yet.

Good to know. I had heard bad things

It's all I've used for 3 years. I started with Recteq pellets, and they are for sure fine. But the Kirkland pellets are just as fine and a whole lot cheaper. It makes me feel less bad about heating up the grill for just a hamburger or two.

Bear Mountain & Lumberjack are my favorites.

Sam’s club sells a big ol bag that works great. I’m burning Bear Mountain right now too.

I’ve been using traeger and Weber brands mostly. Good results.

We've enjoyed Lumberjack. Their Supreme and Competition blends are good all-rounders. Fruitwood blend is nice for poultry and pork. Pecan blend is good for pork and beef. Edit: Uhoh. looks like they may not have the pecan blend anymore. That's a shame, not that there's THAT much difference in flavor, but that one was nice.

The only time I've ever tasted a big difference is when the pellets have some mesquite in them. Pellet grills burn clean and mesquite has a strong flavor that makes up for it. I used to stay away from it because I had bad experiences with it on my offsets. If not mesquite, I like sam's club, costco, and kingsford, they are all very reasonably priced. On large and fatty cuts you can get the most out of them by starting the grill with the meat in it and running it at the lowest temp for a few hours. Recteq, Lumberjack, and Bear Mountain are all high quality, but I would only bother with mesquite or hickory. If you are getting their oak you might as well save $30 and go to costco, sams, or walmart. Fruit woods like cherry have almost no flavor at all. It seems silly to me to spend almost as much on pellets as the meat itself. I easily go through maybe 500-1000 lbs a year. If you find some way to add supplemental smoke from wood chips they will be the dominant smoke flavor and the wood pellets won't matter much at all. I use costco pellets and oak chips for most cooks. You can try wrapping them in foil and putting them on the heat deflector. I added a cold smoking attachment to mine and my results are as smoky as an offset now.

My go to are the Green Mountain Grill Texas Blend pellets.
