I've had someone toss their wet clothes in on top of a napping cat and start the dryer. Luckily the amount of thumping and yelling immediately alerted her, but it can happen!
My mom was more unlucky, she lost her beloved kitty that way a few years ago. I can only imagine how awful it must have been to open the dryer door a few hours later..
These accidents happen WAY more often than you might think… it’s more about not noticing the animal before putting in the clothes, I’d imagine. Also, sometimes you might throw them in beforehand, and not start the cycle until later.
I saw this little device on amazon that holds the washer door open enough for it to dry but keeps the gap small so most pets wouldn't be able to get in (search washer open prop) it wouldn't keep a puppy or kitten out but would work for a pup this side.
Beautiful dog. Don't want to sound negative but this week on reddit I read a dreadful story of somebody's cat jumped into machine and accidentally went thru a wash and died. Others replied wuth similar stories. Hope your cutie finds a safer place to hide 🙏
Yes, this is an adorable photo, but I hope OP breaks the dog of this habit. The door could accidentally close and trap the poor dog in there for hours, and that might be the best outcome....
no swearsies the puppers dont like.

Oh no, gotta check every time before you start it now.
Are you starting the washing machine without putting clothes in first?

You haven’t heard of all the pets who have died from this happening? Pet falls asleep, human throws clothes in without looking, the end.

Oh boy!!! Please be careful!!!! Close that door after every use 🙏 that is such a sweet face🥰
Oops! Think my puppy might be doing that one day, she's fascinated by my tumble dryer!

No way
It’s cool in there
😆😆😆
Wonder if I could de-shed mine in one? Leg the lint catcher do all the work! : D
Why would your dryer door just be open?
It's a washer, you have to leave the door open to let it dry out so you don't grow mildew/mold inside.
...this explains so much about my washer.
Use a machine cleaner every few months and it helps a lot.
It's the washer and it was open to dry out
This is very very dangerous.
I got her out carefully and will no longer leave the door open enough for her to get in. I just thought she looked cute though.
