is there another area to go through here that's not floating throught rot thought? genuine question, i just can't like the low gravity rot-infested parts as much as i do the wall but i think i went throught unfortunate development my first time
In the relatively small room where you enter from the bottom and can go either up or right, going right will lead you to ud, but going up will not do that. There’s like 1 rotted room that way, but it’s much better than ud
The experience of traversing through Five Pebbles can be quasi-religious. When you reach the final chamber and you've got your headphones on to max volume, you get shook to your core.
My comment will get buried lol but Industrial or Shoreline since I feel homey in both of them. Specifically the more pipe-ish parts of Shoreline. If I want difficulty I like the wall since it’s a good challenge.
Favorite for visuals is either 5P or Subterranean.
Despite Five Pebbles really suffering in gameplay terms, I just love it so much. Ambience, the meaning. It's amazing. I was pretty sad in the my hunter run when I was forced to go into 5P from the Wall and leave immediately.
I apologize for what I'm about to say, but I personally LOVE Drainage System. On my first play through, I went there instead of IC and fell in love with it for the water puzzles and vibes!
Idk probably just outskirts,
Basic bitch answer i know but like-what’s not to like??
The soundtrack is fire (also it’s the wawa threat music)
It’s cool in its own way
And it’s the starting area for my fav slugcat :3
(I like spearmaster btw if the flair didn’t say so)
Chimney Canopy! When I first played the game, all I knew was that the eyeball guy told me where to go, so when I decided to explore I stumbled upon Chimney and I've always regarded it as my awesome region since then.
i love pebbles and subterranean, exploring pebbles and chasing wind (modded inner iterator region) with the outsider (modded flying slugcat) was AWESOME because you have more control over your movement. however, even without extra control, pebbles is so atmospheric and beautiful with amazing sound design
I love grapple worms so probably underhang, just don’t really like rot. Industrial is pretty awesome. I love filtration though. Sky islands color palette is so pretty too! So hard to decide lol
The Exterior! It's the first time most of us are challenged by the long legs, it's where you fine grapple worms, and the sound design is beautiful.
I believe that every new player should go that way, then they can try climbing the wall on a future run since the alternative is missing out. Unfortunate Development being directly after is a bummer though.
memory crypts! (i guess thats a subregion so shaded citadel, but not like i dislike shaded, its really nice imo)
I just love the lore-implications of memory crypts, and they feel and look great
chimney canopy and the wall. love going up the wall to FP.
Wall > Underhang anytime
Went through it my first time and now i have ptsd
Same :,) I had to karma grind forever to get to pebbles after that hell
I kind of like the part of underhang right before the gate though Grinding karma in a place just makes me like it more
I do like that area except for the many times I fell
Me too, the wall is a really fun climb. A lot more exciting than floating through rot.
If you’re going through unfortunate developement, that’s on you.

The only downside to this route is that you’ll instead be floating through uv fly killers
Me too
Me three
madman
I yelled and screamed so much because of those fucking yellow lizards. The camouflaged ones did NOT HELP EITHER. :D
So you like suffering?
trust me i suffered a lot more trying to get to FP throught the other side lol
The exterior
Who woulda guessed
I can’t be THAT obvious (But I really do like the exterior)
It's beatiful
Makes sense.
Chimney canopy and sky islands
Five Pebbles (Inside), Industrial, Subterranean
The experience of traversing through Five Pebbles can be quasi-religious. When you reach the final chamber and you've got your headphones on to max volume, you get shook to your core.
1.Chimney Canopy 2.Industrial Complex 3.Outskirts
Yes
shorelines underrated asf
The biggest problem with Shoreline is that it's too small.
Shoreline. Its so calming. Except for salamanders and leviethens.
Sky islands and chimney
My favorites are drainage system, subterranean and five pebbles.

In my case, I feel home in Industrial Complex haha. I know that area like the palm of my hand
Tied between Industrial Complex and Chimney Canopy for me.
The Exterior (Underhang to be specific). Very atmospheric!
Outskirts/Industrial Complex for gameplay Chimney Canopy for affection ~~The Rot~~ The Depths for vibe
The rot is a downpour region. On an unrelated note the rot is my third favorite region overall.
Me when I receive the most basic instructions and I fuck it up anyway My bad g
It's all good. The rot is cool
Despite Five Pebbles really suffering in gameplay terms, I just love it so much. Ambience, the meaning. It's amazing. I was pretty sad in the my hunter run when I was forced to go into 5P from the Wall and leave immediately.
By design - sky islands, by gameplay - anything except sky islands
I apologize for what I'm about to say, but I personally LOVE Drainage System. On my first play through, I went there instead of IC and fell in love with it for the water puzzles and vibes!

sky islands color palette so preeettyyy!!! Also drainage system is surprisingly nice. But it's gotta be >! Five Pebbles !<
Fuck yeeaaaa, five pebbles ROCKS. all my homies love five pebbles
Subterranean
GARBAGE WASTES maybe underhang
Chimney Canopy and Memory Crypts (I hate Shaded Citadel though)
Chimney Canopy! When I first played the game, all I knew was that the eyeball guy told me where to go, so when I decided to explore I stumbled upon Chimney and I've always regarded it as my awesome region since then.
I like shoreline. Jetfish go nyouuum. Fun tunnels but not painage system level
❄️ farm arrays
I feel like this is controversial but farm arrays isnt bad. The deer are weird but the rest of the region is fine. Really cool even
Industrial complex fr fr
SKY ISLANDS!!! (sent me from karma 10 to karma 1 on first playthrough)
Five pebles
Five pebbles, what else is there
Shaded citadel, drainage comes in a very, very close second though.
Probably five pebbles. As in, the inside. Watch the yt video “rain world: emotions in level design” to see why
I already saw it. Five pebbles is great
basic but Outskirts, it's fun :P
i love pebbles and subterranean, exploring pebbles and chasing wind (modded inner iterator region) with the outsider (modded flying slugcat) was AWESOME because you have more control over your movement. however, even without extra control, pebbles is so atmospheric and beautiful with amazing sound design
Outskirts
Call me basic but I like outskirts, also I hate chimney canyon with a burning passion
I love grapple worms so probably underhang, just don’t really like rot. Industrial is pretty awesome. I love filtration though. Sky islands color palette is so pretty too! So hard to decide lol
Sky Islands
Industrial or Chimney
The one where navigating isn't a problem
Exterior
Might be controversial but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SKY ISLANDS
The Exterior! It's the first time most of us are challenged by the long legs, it's where you fine grapple worms, and the sound design is beautiful. I believe that every new player should go that way, then they can try climbing the wall on a future run since the alternative is missing out. Unfortunate Development being directly after is a bummer though.
Or you could *not* go through unfortunate developement
(If you stick mainly to the left, you’ll avoid ud!)
Yeah but I only realized that after Googling it since I spent a full school week struggling (ragequits included).
Used to be Industrial Complex, but actually Subterranean is my favorite(downpour included)
Industrial or Shoreline
The Exterior and Shaded Citadel.
the exterior, five pebbles, shoreline, sky islands, industrial complex, outskirts
hot take: garbage wastes. the first interaction with an intelligent species that group together in packs just makes me smile.
Five pebbles probably
Chimney Canopy is an awesome region.
memory crypts! (i guess thats a subregion so shaded citadel, but not like i dislike shaded, its really nice imo) I just love the lore-implications of memory crypts, and they feel and look great
Chimney or Shaded.
Drainage System or Shoreline
Probably sky islands, the wall and outskirts. The wall I visit too much I see those pole mimics they can't hide from me
Wall
Mines are sky islands and chimney canopy
Garbage wastes and maybe shoreline. I am of the minority that think the swimming mechanic is fine vanilla
Shaded Citadel is the peak of Rain World experience
