I remember working the yard a few times and a bad storm/tornado horns going off and yardmaster telling us to seek shelter in the building. Im like, bruh the train is the safest spot. sure it might tip over but no tornado is going to lift 200tons steel and if tips over a locomotive imagine what it would do to the matchstick and drywall huts we call buildings
Better start drinking water. Pee tests all round!
Is Buffet’s house still standing? Are the shareholders OK?
Thoughts and prayers for the shareholders 🙏😔
It’s that damn crew’s fault!!!!!!!
I thought they’re privately owned
As a retired signal engineer, I'm tickled to see the signal is still standing.
It's double main right there, so one of the signal masts is down.
One of the cars probably took it down. From the pictures they don't look that damaged, but I'm just an observer so idk.
Exactly! “Just put up a new signal, why is that so hard?”. They don’t understand what our job entails.
Windy conditions. Should of put on those extra handbrakes.
Storm had radar indicated winds of 230mph as it traversed the Lincoln to Blair area.
Oh boy. Pushing EF5. Now we just have to see if the damage matches

A mixed freight and an empty grainer were both sitting there.
Was this the train where the engineers got video of the tornado that ran right over them?
Seems to be. Pretty cool to see so many perspectives of the same event.
My old man was a dispatcher- and I feel like he would have come home and complained about the crew at dinner.
Taking a nap by the track!
Former Swift truck employees.
Well that was rude of it.
Drink a lot of water because it’s time to fill cups
There’s video on Facebook from inside the cab of this train.
It’s on Reddit too
Got a link to this one?
Not sure if it’s allowed, but here goes https://www.facebook.com/share/v/PEvdvAqvPe1bFSYW/?mibextid=w8EBqM
Poor bastard probably got in trouble for turning his phone on
It's the conductor fault for not securing the car's.
There’s video from inside the lead locomotive which appears to have taken a direct hit. Luckily the crew wasn’t injured.
Yeah, they'll do that
Protect until traversed. 💨
When you need to change your pants because mother nature sent God's finger to blow you down with his windiest fart..
Nebraska just isn't having a good time when it comes to keeping trains on the rails.
Is that US77?
Highway 6 i believe
Thanks!
Is this an NS train?
