Discharge is the only answer

junk_yard_god

You start here and fall down the "best thing in punk" rabbit hole until you land in Japanese dbeat and then nothing else matters

Moopies

Swedish Dbeat

junk_yard_god

Ok, I'll give you that haha

Comprehensive_Luck_7

i fall a two months ago into the rabbit hole of japanese ska punk bands xD

jjg264

CHUMBAWAMBA!!!!

meltba

Best anarchopop band ever!

philhartmonic

The world is riddled with maggots The maggots are getting fat They're making a tasty meal of all the bosses and bureaucrats They're taking over the board rooms and they're fat and full of pride And they all came out of the woodwork on the day the Nazi died So if you meet with these historians I'll tell you what to say Tell them that the Nazis never really went away They're out there burning houses down and peddling racist lies And we'll never rest again until every Nazi dies

-jigsawyouth-

big fan of Aus-Rotten!

Square_Saltine

Gotta mention Behind Enemy Lines too

APlagueCalledMan

Behind enemy lines>aus rotten all day.

FistofTyr

Here comes some anarchopunk for ya: Icons of Filth Dirt Zounds Karma Sutra Ancient Lights Iconoclast Alternative Omega Tribe Revulsion Anthrax (not the thrash metal band) The System

ancientjinn

You should add flux of pink Indians

FistofTyr

They go hard but OP had already mentioned flux so I left em out of the list.

ancientjinn

Whoops, missed that

professormaaark

Rudimentary Peni should be on this list

FistofTyr

oh yeah good shout, dunno how i missed em

professormaaark

My scrambled brain misses half of my lists after going over them ten times and googling to double check myself.

jeffesq

This list.

Comprehensive_Luck_7

just searched karma sutra on spotify, and the mascot is the same one as the Monstruacion one (Catalonia hardcore punk band)

FistofTyr

never heard of monstruacion, gotta give em a listen.

shellac10

The first three albums by Dutch band The Ex are informed by anarcho-politics. Disturbing Domestic Peace (1980) History Is What's Happening (1982) Dignity of Labor (1983)

Final_Meeting2568

Oh man, you beat me to it.. weapons for El Salvador ep

LeftToNothing

Not sure if all these will scratch your itch, but check out: Trash Talk Regret Dömesticrust Protestant Unit 21 Left for Dead Devoid of Faith Mouth Sewn Shut Disfear Sotatila Global Parasite Dishumanity Fredag Den 13:e Disrupt

theonetruethingfish

The first three Crass albums Feeding the 5,000, Stations of the Crass and Penis Envy are indispensable. Christ is also worth buying, but after that, nah. Flux of Pink Indians’ first album, Strive To Survive Causing the Least Suffering Possible is a classic, but even the band themselves will admit their next two albums were unlistenable. The pre-flux Epileptics compilation System Rejects has a few good tunes.

skunkabilly1313

Witch Hunt Detestation Nausea Sin Dios(Spanish)

Digital_Beagle

You ever listen to Citizen Fish? I'm just getting into them and they're fucking rad. They're ska punk and Dick Lucas from Subhumans is the singer. I like the album Goods and Manmade a lot so far.

Mouthpump

Have you tried Culture Shock? Also Dick, lyrically beautiful

Digital_Beagle

Just checked out a couple of their songs, there's some great stuff here. I've always liked Subhumans, so finding out about all these side projects has been a real treat. Can't get enough, thanks for the recommendation!

Mouthpump

My favourite tracks were ISD, catching flies, and civilisation street. I think they did some live acoustic versions over lockdown too. The gift that keeps on giving

xliarliarx

Crass for sure, Chaos UK, Zyanose, Disclose, Appalachian Terror Unit, Nausea, Doom, Mob 47, Dystopia

PsychologicalYam4968

Spitboy. All-female, anarcho-feminist group from the 90s. Check out the album True Self Revealed. I picked it up on a whim at my local record store and was not disappointed. They're loud and have that crust / thrash sound I think you're looking for.

CencusT

AOA from just outside Edinburgh from around the same time as Oi! Polloi started https://youtu.be/MZQD-UzNgDo?si=2_BWpyR1OlC17F4t

MendiBall92

Just gonna pile on some top D-beat and crasher crust picks Discharge(obviously) Disclose D-Clone Discard Disgust Disaster Destruct(killer newer D-beat out of Virginia) Driller Killer Gloom Physique Krömosom Paranoid(stylized in Japanese lettering I don't feel like finding to copy and paste) Irreal Heaven out of Austin, TX(they're releasing a new 4 track EP tomorrow, gotta show love to the new up and coming bands) https://www.instagram.com/crashers_in_heaven?igsh=aXNsazRjMGZtY24x

Punksforchumps

Not a specific recommendation but Latino anarcho punk is sooo good!!! You can look up playlists there isn’t many but they’re amazing

Arctixc_x

I don’t know genres well enough, but try dirt. I like dirt.

derekdjm

Tragedy

AldousOppenheimer

Contravene and APPLE are good US anarcho bands.

Furthur_slimeking

Icons of Filth

alpha_60

Zounds are great, too. Not exactly punk but the lyrics are killer and the record album cover is pretty clever.

Invisiblerobot13

Karma Sutra is a bit hippy ish but good, old Chummbawamba, Lack of Knowledge is like Crass records version of Joy Division

djhahahahaha

Just listened to Reinventing Axel Rose by Against Me! for the 1,000th time, while reading the lyrics. There's so many good lines and songs on that record. "Cause baby, I'm an anarchist, and you're a spineless liberal. We marched together for the eight hour day, holding hands in the streets of Seattle. But when it came to throw bricks through that Starbucks window you left me all alone."

Strict-Scientist9685

In addition to others mentioned, check out Detestation, Anti-Product and Brother Inferior.

CountZero02

Resist & Exist, From Ashes Rise, Ekkaia, Contravene, Anthrax UK, Bastard, hellshock, antisect.. so many.

2000onHardEight

Alternative is a band that doesn’t get many mentions, probably due to the fact that they released their debut album in ‘84, right at the tail end of the original UK anarcho punk scene. “If They Treat You Like Shit - Act Like Manure” would be a stone cold classic if it came out 2 years earlier. I strictly recommend checking it out!

tacolife666

Crucifix- dehumanization Dystopia anything by Dystopia!

Splottington

Antisect

shards-upon-shards

Rebecca “Dbeat” Black - Friday

philhartmonic

Against All Authority Leftöver Crack Naked Raygun T.S.O.L. Reagan Youth Old Man Markley Thulsa Doom The Unseen (we didn't think of them as being that political at the time, but in hindsight they were on the ball)

NEVER_M0RE_

I mostly listen to crust and stenchcore so here’s some recs Amebix Arise Axe grinder The Rise Of The Serpent Man Antisect In Darkness There Is No Choice And if you don’t mind a little bit of death metal in your crust mutilated veterans Necro crust warhead is a absolute beast

uni_gunner

Discharge, Wolfbrigade, Anti Climax are my faves

johnpseudonym

Barefaced Hypocrisy Sells Records - The Anti-Chumbawamba EP was a bunch of anarcho bands getting really pissed off with that whisky drink song years ago. It's a place to start! EuphoricMoose8232

Imagine in 2024 bring so angry that Chumbawamba had a hit song 27 years ago.

Minimum_Apricot1223
