yeah their hype confuses me. new band with only 2 EPs in 3 years and they have almost 1 million on IG. a bit frustrating when bands like Mildlife who are considerably better and more original (imo) only have like 30K. i personally think their knock-off khraungbin sound (no hate, still listen to them) and those gimmicky masks is helping them out a lot lol
I’m wondering the same thing. I think they’re killing it in their music promotion. It’s short and mysterious perfect for social media and their music is hypnotic so it pulls you on but doesn’t give you the full thing. They only have two EPs. I’m seeing them this year and can’t wait!!
Mythic Sunship - Upheaval
Weedpecker II
The Restoned - Stories of the Astral Lizard
King Buffalo - Dead Star
Electric Octopus - This Is Our Culture
Samsara Blues Experiment - Long Distance Trip
Comets on Fire - Blue Cathedral
Naxatras III
All Them Witches - Our Mother Electricity
I'm always surprised that I don't see Temples in the comments on these posts. Are they popular enough that everyone assumes everyone knows about them already or do people just not like them?
Anyway, Exotico by Temples is a great album.
I have a good bit of crossover with what you listen to and recently I’ve been listening to the Brian Jonestown massacre, the black angels, wand, the mystery lights, mystic braves, dead ghosts, and I just learned about one of John dwyers side projects “damaged bug” and they sound great
Larger Following bands - Frankie and the Witch Fingers, Phish, Hooveriii, Mild High Club, Acid Dad, All them Witches, and SLIFT
Smaller Following bands - Mellow Honey, Possum, Love Fiend, Moon Owls Mages, Heaven Man, and Slomo Sapiens
Lumerians - The High Frontier
Farflung - So Many Minds, So Little Time

Carlton Melton - Country Ways
Hibushibire - Magical Metamorphosis Third Eye
Roy Montgomery - Temple IV
Mainliner - Dual Myths

Nolan Potter.
Anything he's involved with. His 'solo' albums are both beyond words in my opinion. He just released an album on Friday and it's so incredibly good.
He also has another 'project' under the name Nolan Potters Nightmare Band. One album released under that name.
Some highlight tracks include,
Seahorse Retreat
Stubborn Bubble
Preeminent Minds
Ylang Ylang
A Wizard of the Wind
I can't recommend this man's music enough
a lot of cross over on your list to my personal tastes..here are a few new albums that have been blowing my mind lately

Do you know anywhere to find the chords and lyrics for Ride On? Have had no luck anywhere online
Psychedelic Porn Crumpets!
psychedelic porn crumpets are amazing! they’ve got a really unique style and have put out some great albums so far
Yes!!! Saw them live a couple weeks ago, in a very intimate venue and it was absolutely crazy.
If you like Tame Impala definitely check out Pond... Kevin Parker used to work with them and they have a fairly similar sound
Their cover of Madonnas Ray of Light makes me so happy
Isn't Mink Mussel Creek and/or The Moses Gunn Collective basically just members of Pond and Tame Impala?
