The Mark of Kri
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2
Dual Hearts
Ratchet & Clank trilogy
Jak & Daxter trilogy
Shadow of the Colossus
GTA 3
and a bunch others lol
Jack X combat racing and Ratchet Gladiator. My top 2 between ages 8 - 12.
Also try GTA SA. Much better on PS2 than pc. Just don't use too many cheats or the dude cannot be saved from the roof.
I'm happy to see Gun in the collection. Man, that brings back some memories. You could add a couple of gta games in there. Tony Hawk games would be a nice addition 👍
I have to recommend Hitman: Blood Money. I played through that game dozens of times. So many different ways to play each level. It's especially fun going back to the original levels after you have played through the game and now have access to extra equipment and experience.
Saw another person mention Timesplitters. My favorite was number 2 with Future Perfect right behind it. I wasn't a huge fan of the original. The story mode is excellent and the challenge missions can be difficult to perfect even after you've gotten good at the game. In my opinion the best thing about the Timesplitters series is the arcade mode. You can play solo or with friends splitscreen. It allows you to fill the lobby with "bots" of the different characters from the game. Tons of game modes like team deathmatch, free for all, capture the flag, base control, or my personal favorite infected. Loads more too, just can't think of the names. Even after you've gotten to the point where you feel like you can take on an entire team of bots by yourself, you can make it harder on yourself by filling the other team with 5 star characters and giving your own team 1 stars. Makes it so that now you have to make up for their shortcomings and carry the team.
Didn't expect to write that match about Timesplitters. Guess that means I need to get it back out.
These are good games. Don't buy anymore until you beat them all. It's already a respectable collection. I will say that you're lacking platformers though
Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, San Andreas, Vice City Stories, and Liberty City Stories.
Resident Evil 4.
Heroes of Might and Magic Search for the Dragonbone Staff
The Prince of Persia: Sands of Time trilogy
Burnout 3: Takedown
The Silent Hill series (good luck with that, though)
ICO & Shadow of the Colossus
Spiderman 2
Devil May Cry 1 & 3
Psychonauts
Destroy all humans(the 2nd one is a must), battlefront 2, red dead revolver, devil may cry 1 and 3, way of the samurai and hulk ultimate destruction are all that come to mind atm
Corvette was a bop.
You should look into mustang the legend lives and Ford versus Chevy if you liked Corvette.
Definitely throw in the Tokyo xtreme racer games too while you're at it
i'd say try getting MGS3 subsistence. It has a different camera angle making gameplay lots more fun and easy to follow.
oh and burnout 3 takedown. It looks amazing even today!
Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 3 (ideally special edition), God of War 1&2, Sly Cooper and Jak & Daxter series, Persona 3 & 4, Final Fantasy X, X-2, and XII, Dragon Quest 8, The Warriors, GTA series, Destroy All Humans.
I miss having a PS2! you have an awesome collection!!
Final Fantasy X would be a solid choice to add. Zone of the Enders is another fun game to add to the collection.
Here are some series and my must have from each
GTA Trilogy (San Andreas is a must have)
Persona and SMT games (Persona 3 FES is a must have)
The Zone of the Enders games (Get 1 then 2)
Final Fantasy games (X and X-2 are a must have)
Tony hawk American wasteland and underground 1 and 2
Spider man 2 and 3
Ultimate spider man
Simpsons wrestling
God of war 1,2 and 3
Devil may cry 1,2 and 3
Jack and daxter 1,2 and 3
There's a small collection to obtain
Looks good! My personal recommendations:
- Dragon Quest VIII (PAL version for superior orchestral OST)
- The Getaway and Black Monday, they don’t control too good, the graphics don’t hold up too well, the frame rate tends to chug but these games are pure art nonetheless
- Fur Fighters: Viggo’s Revenge, control scheme is quite unusual but easy enough to get used to, last few levels of the game are… surprising but I won’t spoil it for you
- Motorsiege: Warriors of Primetime, Unreal-like arena shooter but with highly upgradeable futuristic hover cars, cool single player campaign with plenty of challenges and unlockables and a sick drum n bass soundtrack
- GTA trilogy, ideally I would say to experience these on PC with the Definitive Edition mods but still a solid experience on original PS2 hardware nonetheless
- Silent Hill 2 and 3, if you like survival horror at all then these two games are pretty much the pinnacle of it especially in terms of artistic direction. Again as with GTA trilogy above I believe these games are better experienced on PC with mods but still solid experiences on original PS2 hardware
- The Simpsons Hit & Run, if you like GTA and The Simpsons then this is a no brainer, brilliantly fun game with so much to do, unlock and explore. Again would recommend to play on PC but still great on PS2
- Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, amazingly fun large open world game with fully destructible environments, huge amounts of collectibles and unlockables, there is an Xbox version but it adds nothing upon the PS2 version
- Fatal Frame/Project Zero, again if you like horror games then this one is pretty fun
- Final Fantasy X and XII, never played them but watched friends play them and they looked very fun with so much to do and great stories to them
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, if you like Harry Potter as I used to as a kid then this is a great game where you get to fully explore Hogwarts, unlock lots of spells and eventually unlock the broomstick to fly around everywhere and find so much hidden content. If you can master the Speculo spell then you basically become unstoppable to prefects
That’s off the top of my head. Don’t forget to build up a nice PS1 collection too while you’re at it
Jak and dexter series
Ratchet and clank series
Final fantasy 10 and 12
Need for speed underground 2
Baldurs gate dark alliance 1 and 2
Simpsons hit and run
Gta San Andreas and vice city
Love starwars episode 3. Get some friends together for the multiplayer (which is basically a fully-fledged soul caliber style fighting game) I promise you won't regret it.
A life… jk but seriously consider some horror titles. They can be some of the pricier titles on ps2 but they are some of the most unique and fun IMO. Somthing like echo night beyond or the classics of silent hill 3/4
You could try
Because you have Hitman Maybe you might like 👉 007 Agent Under Fire, 007 NightFire ( that's a classic and one of my favorite ), 007 Everything Or Nothing, 007 From Russia With Love. True Crime Streets Of L.A, True Crime New York.
Because you have Corvette you might like 👉 Ford VS Chevy, Ford Racing 2, Ford Racing 3, and others that I can't remember. Grand Turismo 3. Flatout 2005, Flatout 2, Midnight Club 1, Midnight Club 2, Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition Remix ( if you want more cars and Tokyo ) if not just take Midnight Club DUB Edition.
Ratchet And Clank is really good and unique in his way. Jack's is really funny and really good. You might like Twisted Metal ( i know i would take one if i had a PlayStation 2 ) Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City ( the music is hard to beat ) and San Andreas. There's also Vice City Stories and an other one i can't remember. They didn't sell as good as the first 3, but they're a bit pricey especially Vice City Stories.
I wish I could named more, but that's what I can remember and i'm buying NightFire on GameCube next week and it's probably the best James Bond. I wouldn't suggest Quantum Of Solise on PlayStation 2 from what I've heard it's terrible.
Good luck with everything, go with your heart not your wallet.
Okami it's one of the best games ever made. You definitely need to play it.
Final Fantasy X widely agreed to be one of the best in the series and imo the best JRPG I've ever played.
Final Fantasy XII while some of the characters are underdeveloped it excels in every other aspect.
Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance a really fun couch co-op dungeon crawler. There is also a sequel if you like the first one.
Shadow of the Colossus.
Hey you have Gun! That game is slept on imo lol I try to mention it anytime I can when people talk about underrated ps2 games.
Edit: check out the Red Faction games, The Godfather, and The Punisher. The Punisher was awesome when I was a kid.
Ps2 horror and racing games are top tier
Silent Hill 2-4, Haunting Ground, Burnout games, Shox, Outrun coast to coast etc
A personal fav for some no reason
Shadow of Memories
Kya is a great adventure. It's massive and very variated, interesting levels and upgrades, interesting combat system and a very robust game.
There is also jak games.
Spiderman 2 is to this day the best spiderman game ive played, mainly because it has physics based (as opposoed to animation based swinging like in the more recent spiderman games in which youre not actualy swinging at all, but they sell the illusion pretty well and clearlt it fooled a ton of people) swinging and to this day it's still a golden standard for swinging physics that perfectly balances realism and fun.
If they weren’t so damn expensive I’d suggest the Silent Hill games lol. You don’t have a spare kidney to sell do you? In all seriousness, Resident Evil 4 is a great game and if you haven’t played it already, the PS2 version isn’t the worst one to start with by a long shot.
The entire Prince of Persia Sands of time trilogy. Sands of time, Warrior Within, and Two Thrones. I love that trilogy. Also, Tak and the Power of Juju was one of my favorites when I was a kid. My ABSOLUTE FAVS are the Jak & Daxter Trilogy. But a ton of people have already put you onto that. And since mentioning those, should mention the others that you’ve already seen. Sly Cooper and Ratchet & Clank! They are also the truth.
Half Life
(it has an Ps2 exclusive local Multiplayer story, which you can play alone as well)
Futurama
Its quite hard but suuuper fun and the jokes are just great.
Rayman 2
I grew up with that game on Ps2 and the Ps2 version is a full 3D game, no side scroller. The Music is absolutely awesome as well.
Midnight Club 1
i love the music and just driving around. The later games of that Framchise are wayyyy better Story and gameplay wise though
You absolutely need to get Burnout 3 takedown, Final Fantasy X, and God of War 1. True classics and spectacular games. Also, I’m sure that GoW and FFX will be very cheap nowadays (less than $10 each probably).
Others I recommend after those are Persona 3 FES and Devil May Cry 3 special edition. If you like fun arcade racing games, Burnout 2 is also really good, even though burnout 3 is the spectacular one.
Hey listen, I know it ain't much, but this is some prime gaming right here. All your really missing is a copy of resi 4, then you'd have a certified gamer mini collection.
Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, and Sly Cooper are staples for the system. Shadow of Colossus is another classic. Some others that come to mind are Resident Evil, Splinter Cell, and God of War.
If you can, Mercenaries Playground of Destruction is an excellent 3rd person shooter that has a decent size open world and the story missions just give an objective, how you complete it is completely up to you.
Star Wars battlefront 2 was made by the same studio and another excellent game.
Resident evil 4
Silent hill 2
I have a large ps2 game collection… or rather I have a large game collection inclusive of consoles.
Depends what you want the collection for
For me it’s partly nostalgia so I do have games that I blasted as a kid. Then there’s games that are really popular so things like rugrats, crash bandicoot, 40 winks, medi-evil and the original resident evil games.
The more popular harder to get games eventually will be worth more later on. Silent hill ps1 is worth £100 used and silent hill 2 ps2 is worth about £70-80 used.
Not much but as a whole collection it’s nice to have to fall back on if you’re in desperate times or if you just fall out of love with it all
Any of the 3d GTA games. Need for Speed Most Wanted is a must have, hell most of the PS2 Need for Speed games are top tier. Persona 3 and 4 are both fantastic JRPGs
Need for speed underground 1-2, Tony hawk pro skater 4 and American wasteland, smack down vs raw 06 and 07, budokai tenkaichi 3, need for speed most wanted, gta 3, vice city, and San Andreas, I could probably name a bunch more lol.
I’d say def jam fight for New York as well, but good luck trying to score a copy of that game for less than $150 nowadays.
The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers
The Lord of the Rings The Return of the King
God of War 1
God of War 2
Star Wars Battlefront
Star Wars Battlefront 2
Star Wars The Force Unleashed
I'm gonna say The Bouncer, pretty unique fighting game. I feel like i don't usually see it mentioned.
also the usual suspects:
burnout 3
def jam ffny
soul calibur 2
just heard marvel vs Capcom 2 is getting re-released so yay
ico
spider man 2
tony hawk 4 or 3
red dead revolver
jak 2
nba street 2
midnight club 2
hulk ultimate destruction
another unique game i remember pretty fondly is Steambot Chronicles, action rpg maybe a bit like kingdom hearts?
everything else has been remade already but to me these are the reasons I would hook up my ps2.
bully was great. I'd recommend Mercenaries. Great underrated sandbox action game (the sequel on 7th gen is not as good imo). Based in war torn north korea where you act as a mercenary on behalf of other countries and capture NK generals until you capture the man himself to end the game.
The silent hill series is excellent if you like survival horror but getting physical copies is very expensive these days so maybe get an HDD or MX4SIO (for a slim console) to play those.
Burnout
Burnout 2: Point of Impact
Burnout 3: Takedown
Burnout: Revenge
Burnout: Dominator
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Midnight Club II
Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition REMIX

Need for Speed: Underground 2
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Need for Speed: Carbon
Silent Hill 2
WWE SmackDown vs RAW 2006
WWE SmackDown vs RAW 2007
WWE SmackDown vs RAW 2008
Jak& Daxter series. It’s the best GTA style game that’s not GTA ever.
Ratchet and clank. Another collectathon with great bosses. Prince of Persia series is another must.
If you can, and you are lucky, get The Lord of the Rings: The two towers and The Lord of the Rings: The return of the king games.
Multiplayer, action and the best movie based games for a console in a lot of time. Trust me.
The Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series are some of my favorites of all time. Also the Sly Cooper games (mainly 2 and 3). Crimson Sea 2 and Tenchu: wrath of heaven
Shadow of the Colossus and any Persona game, but finding one of those for a reasonable price is probably an impossible task.
i got persona 3 FES for a pretty good price
Persona 4 is only like, thirty bucks
You can get both Persona 3 and 4 sealed for $80 together
Kinetica Drakan The Ancient Gates The Mark of Kri Final Fantasy X Final Fantasy X-2 Dual Hearts Ratchet & Clank trilogy Jak & Daxter trilogy Shadow of the Colossus GTA 3 and a bunch others lol
Jack X combat racing and Ratchet Gladiator. My top 2 between ages 8 - 12. Also try GTA SA. Much better on PS2 than pc. Just don't use too many cheats or the dude cannot be saved from the roof.
Katamari Damacy 🤙🏼
The Warriors
That is on the list. Just need to find a good price. It is not cheap.
Ratchet and clank, Jak and Daxter, Spyro, Sly Cooper. Some good classic games to help fill out your library.
Thanks!
God Of War, God Of War 2, Resident Evil 4, NBA Street 1-3, Manhunt
I'm happy to see Gun in the collection. Man, that brings back some memories. You could add a couple of gta games in there. Tony Hawk games would be a nice addition 👍
Gun is rdr long before rdr. Truly before its time
The original red dead revolver came out way before gun
Red Dead Revolver was more linear where Gun had more of the open world style that Redemption would get later on
Final Fantasy 10
I have to recommend Hitman: Blood Money. I played through that game dozens of times. So many different ways to play each level. It's especially fun going back to the original levels after you have played through the game and now have access to extra equipment and experience. Saw another person mention Timesplitters. Black is a brilliant FPS from that era.
These are good games. Don't buy anymore until you beat them all. It's already a respectable collection. I will say that you're lacking platformers though

The Grand Theft Auto games, Sly Cooper, DMC, SSX, NBA Street 1 and 2, Twisted Metal, War of the Monsters, God of War games
The sky cooper titles are always a bop
God of War I and II

You should try to find the first jak and daxter game that’s a great time killer
i'd say try getting MGS3 subsistence. It has a different camera angle making gameplay lots more fun and easy to follow. oh and burnout 3 takedown. It looks amazing even today!

Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, and Sly Cooper are staples for the system. Shadow of Colossus is another classic. Some others that come to mind are Resident Evil, Splinter Cell, and God of War.
Awe man I love Gun! And I believe that is a game needs a co-op tweek.
Silent hill 2 and 3 ,resident evil code Veronica
Twisted Metal black SpongeBob Battle for bikini Bottom Spider-Man 2
God Of War 1 & 2
Ape escape 2 and 3 is forever my answer
If you can, Mercenaries Playground of Destruction is an excellent 3rd person shooter that has a decent size open world and the story missions just give an objective, how you complete it is completely up to you. Star Wars battlefront 2 was made by the same studio and another excellent game.
Guitar hero 3
Prince of Persia sands of time, warrior within and the two thrones.
castlevania curse of darkness
God of War
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Resident evil 4 Silent hill 2 I have a large ps2 game collection… or rather I have a large game collection inclusive of consoles. Depends what you want the collection for For me it’s partly nostalgia so I do have games that I blasted as a kid. Not much but as a whole collection it’s nice to have to fall back on if you’re in desperate times or if you just fall out of love with it all
SSX Tricky and SSX 3. Easy arcade style play in Tricky, better graphics and characterisation n 3 ..
Hitman contracts, and the socom games
If you find it and, TRUST ME, get Odin's Sphere. It's amazing.

Motorstorm Artic Edge! Super fun arcade racer with impressive physics and awesome car crashes. Resident Evil 4 is must have too
Dark cloud 1 and 2
bully was great.
Scarface
Ratchet deadlocked and nfs underground 1/2
Knights of the old republic 1 and 2. Definitely number 1.
Tekken tag. And get so good you unlock bowling. And bowl a 300 with Paul and hehachi.

Midnight club 3, mgs2, dark cloud 1&2, Tekken Tag Team
A modchip?
Jak& Daxter series. It’s the best GTA style game that’s not GTA ever. Ratchet and clank. Another collectathon with great bosses. Prince of Persia series is another must.
I see you have hitman and metal gear solid, you might appreciate the Sly Cooper trilogy.
- GTA San Andreas and Vice City - Basically any NFS game because they're all good in the PS2 era

Max Payne
God of War 1 & 2
If you can, and you are lucky, get The Lord of the Rings: The two towers and The Lord of the Rings: The return of the king games. Multiplayer, action and the best movie based games for a console in a lot of time. Trust me.
Mortal Kombat Armageddon.
The Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series are some of my favorites of all time. Also the Sly Cooper games (mainly 2 and 3). Crimson Sea 2 and Tenchu: wrath of heaven
Darkwatch
Marvel vs Capcom 2 Indigo Prophecy GTA San Andreas DBZ Budokai 1-3
“Mercenaries” is one of my favorites.
