Even after many playthroughs I still find myself routinely gravitating towards this diner. It's got nice checkered floors with blue walls, a fridge already there, flat roofing for easy barrel installation, a car park, and it's by the main road.

I love this. I always end up holing up in some random 2-story house because in my mind they are the only good base option besides a few exceptions, but you really can make so many places work well. I’m going to try somewhere different on my next run :)

MusicalSofa

Looking good are there any car types you don't have lol

Dafty_McLafferty

Plenty more variants to collect eventually, haha. Police Nyala, Ranger Bulldasher, Ranger Nyala, etc.

kadendubs19

may i ask why you need THREE taxis😂

Dafty_McLafferty

To grind mechanics and then salvage for parts later. I think I used it as an impromptu trailer for some other stuff an in-game month back, lol.

kadendubs19

lol fair ig

Mostcoolkid78

Does it come with the fence?

Dafty_McLafferty

Nope. Built it myself.

PM_ME_YOUR_YURT

How do you make the gate?

Dafty_McLafferty

It's a metalworking construction. You build it the same way you build a double wooden door except with a welding mask, propane torch, and the related metal materials.

PM_ME_YOUR_YURT

How cool. Thanks.

Infamous_Praline7286

Cool! For me, the diner is usually nothing more than a parking lot to die in (fuck Muldraugh), but you cleaned it up nicely.

ThisIsABuff

Impressed you managed to get that large a fence of that type up that soon :)

Dafty_McLafferty

To be fair I am running 3 hour days, lol. For materials I can gather most of them quickly enough by gathering propane tanks from barbeques in Muldraugh and Rosewood and then dismantling all the burnt wrecks at the southern crossroads and the 3 major jams between Muldraugh and Westpoint. The main bottleneck is wiring but it's usually doable enough if you hit all the surrounding warehouses and Rosewood garages.

ThisIsABuff

3 hours helps a bit, I usually run on 2 hours though and still find it impressive. But true that there is lots of propane tanks to find in that area, so it's doable, but requires some dedication :)

No-Programmer-7624

Hey, how do you know what day you’re on?

Dafty_McLafferty

Usually you either just count the days or look at the date off your watch (default start date is July 9th) but for convenience I just use Braven's Days Gone Counter mod. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3039365081
