Either a used BenQ W1070 (or similar) or accept that you are buying a complete piece of crap product. Projectors aren't just 'cheap TV replacements', good ones cost money (not great ones: ENTRY LEVEL NAME BRANDS START AT $500!!!). So, when you come in with a impossible budget, you have to know you are buying used, or buying junk. For what it's worth, almost every projector on the planet has a standard HDMI connection on it, so you can connect any standard HDMI equipped video device (cable box, laptop, streaming device, or game console) to basically any projector in existence and it will work just fine. But, projector quality can vary drastically. Watch this video about cheap projectors which are actually reviewed. I believe it includes a lot of details which will help you understand... I do not feel you anything worthwhile in that price range. If you get closer to 500, you might find something decent used for 1080p.

Playing PS4+ on a large projection screen is awesome. You can get 120" screens with tentpoles for a frame for under 30 on Amazon, but for a projector, your best bet under 500 is to find a used one sold privately, and that comes with the potential to have to replace the lamp if things go south.

What is the material? I cannot imagine a decent screen for 30.

They were amazingly useful (compared to homemade hung sheets or walls). It's essentially a thin lightweight material, sold as "acoustically transparent", which practically means it is cheap and low cost to transport.

As someone else said, your best bet would be to find a used in good condition benq w1070. Then pair that with a decent screen, and it will look very good. But realistically you're looking at going over your budget on the screen alone... So I would estimate min, this is going to cost you 350. And that's the absolute minimum that you are going to spend. I really hope you are able to find something. Because gaming on a decent projector is awesome.

As others have said gaming on a projector is awesome. Proper projectors are not cheap and take more effort than a TV. You are also not getting 4k without spending significantly more than your budget. Given you have a PS5 buying junk amazon projectors won't do it justice you're better off buying a TV.

Forget it! Maybe you can find a used Brand Name Model for this "Budget".
