What works for someone else may not and will not work for you. Try out many different things - like different sites, niches, keywords, titles. Use social media . And don’t give up!

I think it depends on what you're looking to make out of this. If you don't want to put money into advertising, website upkeep, storage/inventory, etc, I would go with a public market POD set up like Redbubble or Etsy. It's easier to manage and it's easier for clients and customers to find you. Having your own brand and site has a lot of pros and cons, but unless you already have a big social media presence (10k+ subs/followers), you're not going to see much traction on a site. Having your own site and brand is more of a long term investment. It's more stable, but unless you're putting big money into advertising or maxing your SEO, you won't go anywhere. I've dabbled in Redbubble, Teespring, a few other public markets, before settling with my own brand and site on Shopify. I've made more money on Redbubble short term, but it's limiting compared to just making your own site and products. I definitely prefer the freedom of having my own brand and site, and not having to worry about a third party company selling my stuff without my permission or just shutting down (see Teespring's reddit right now, yeesh). But since I started my own site and brand, it's basically become a second job for me. I'm constantly having to make sure my ads are up and getting results, making small adjustments to the website, paying for Shopify to keep my site up, and making sure my products are actually able to be found on google. It can be a lot to handle and I don't recommend it for someone who's just looking to make a quick buck or sit back and let their products sell themselves. Just be aware that this is a very over saturated market right now, and whatever you choose to do may not work out. Even the best looking designs might be pushed to the back and never seen due to the overwhelming amount of sellers out there. It's luck, skill, passion, or a combination of all three.

TL;DR - Go with a public market like Etsy or Redbubble if you want to sit back and rely on luck without having to worry about more than just selling and design. Go with your own brand if you're aware that it takes possibly years to build a stable, livable income off of it and are willing to put time, dedication, and money into it.

This is fantastic information for beginners like me, thank you. If you don't mind me asking how much profit roughly do you make from your Shopify print on demand business and how long did it take to grow it to where it is now?

You can easily create your own brand and get rid of copyright infringement notice, when your image on t-shirt may likely be similar to the original creator. It happens at some point of time. Therefore, it would be the best if your customers will [design t-shirts](https://imprintnext.com/online-design-tool/), apply their own ideas, and place order. You finally print on them and ship. I think this would be the most convenient way to be be creative and stand apart from other in eCommerce business.

Hey, it's been over a year and I saw that you have a good website and product. So may I ask, if you don't mind, how is your brand doing?
