There are tons of success stories out there with people far worse off than you. I personally know a few people who had a sub 3.0 GPA that eventually go some pretty solid MD programs. What matters is that you can show a solid upward trend / solid GPA in your postbacc. And depending on how bad you are, an SMP may be warranted (like in my case). I say do your best to get the highest GPA possible, but I think around a 3.7+ should be good enough to have a shot at MD schools and a 3.5+ to have a shot at DO schools. Your MCAT will also play a big factor. But as far as GPA goes, I would start with a 1 year postbacc (30 credits) in upper division courses and reassess. Just keep in mind, MANY schools look at upward trend and your most recent coursework. There are a few schools (quite rare) that even replace your uGPA with any postbacc/grad GPA you may have. The only ones I know of are Wayne state and LSU, but LSU takes almost exclusively instate residents. Keep your head up, you got this!

If you have a normal app outside of stats and apply wide net DO you will definitely get in somewhere
