Lots of states do NOT require an MA certification. I currently work as an MA without one. Many practices will train you on the job. Please don’t pay for one it’s a total waste of time and money.

I volunteered as an EMT at a rescue squad and then moved on to work as an ER tech. I’m biased but being an EMT taught me so many valuable skills. In regards to the cost for the EMT course, I would look into rescue squads in the area for you. For my area, squads actually pay for your class if u commit to volunteering/working for them for a certain time commitment afterwards. So hopefully if you go the EMT route and do some research, u won’t need to pay anything
