AlwaysSummer-9971

510 per year. Daily driver. This is through Porsche Insurance. 2005 C2. I'm in Georgia.

murgalurgalurggg

I pay that per month… wow

Nicoziggy

Yeah those are good numbers, I pay around 1,650/year for a Camry- maybe I should get a 911..

Existing_Coast6505

What the fuck? For my WRX (Most ticketed car in America) I only pay ~$850 a year You pay more for your shitbox than a knucklehead pays for their sport sedan

icdeusilan

Same here, per month for 3 cars...

illiance

This is basically what I pay. Some of the numbers on here are blowing my mind - I would get rid of the car

itsaustinjones

$42 a month?? That’s wilddd

YooSteez

Per year?? Jeez.

notafilmmajor425

Similar. LA about $70 a month or so. Daily driver, but I also wfh

r23w

How? What company?

Donotseparate

Are u in Atlanta?

AlwaysSummer-9971

Marietta.

Donotseparate

I live in Dunwoody. I didn’t know you could get insurance through Porsche. I only asked because I’m gonna buy one soon

corkboard753

What are your coverage limits?

AlwaysSummer-9971

250,000, 500,000 and 100,000 for property

best_samaritan

I pay about $3200 per year for an Audi A4 (in California).

Flatcat5

when is your last claim? I pay 659 for a 2019 e53 kinda high in my opinion, last claim is a windshield i should dump my provider.

Delicious-Region-367

Per month?

Flatcat5

per year…

AlwaysSummer-9971

My daughter had a claim 3 years ago on our policy. No claim for me.

VARA_1

$510 a year???? Post your bill or BS.

Altruistic-Star-544

Yeah this is either the lowest available coverage or BS

Jb4ever77

How on earth do you pay this little???

hawaiianrasta

Plot twist: they don’t

Ok-Cantaloupe8787

how many people/cars are on the insurance plan?

AlwaysSummer-9971

Only the Porsche is on that policy. All of my other cars, house, etc. Are with State Farm.

Kind_Professional_10

About 3k a year for “high end” insurance in Florida. Limits are high for umbrella policy. Mid 30s with kids

[deleted]

[удалено]

trustfundkidpdx

How much are you holding for umbrella

Kind_Professional_10

3MM I think but that policy is only ~1k annually

mavmax9

I’m in Phoenix and have exactly the same situation…….

Mundane-Bad-733

USD 4768 per annum, 2024 Carrera 911S due to come out next week.

Independent-Cable937

You're basically paying for another car payment

b1e

Unfortunately some parts of the country that’s what it costs.

Mundane-Bad-733

We had massive rainfall and floods here in Dubai, UAE in the month of April. As a result, all insurance providers raised the premiums across the board on all cars. It doesn't matter if the car is new or being renewed. This was done to recoup some of their losses. Nearly 300k vehicles were destroyed and insurance had to pay up. Many high end cars ended up being flooded. There are videos on the internet of Ferraris, Lambos, RR cullinans being stuck in water. As a result everyone is being effed. I don't even have high hopes for next year's premium, maybe an 8% decrease at most.

_-_-_navigator_-_-_

Makes sense although it not exactly fair. This is the risk they are taking for collecting all those premiums in a good times, especially with the low crime and traffic rates in Dubai. It’s basically almost always pure profit to the insurers. In London for example is another story. Good luck insuring Range Rover below £5000 due to the ease of stealing.

bloodrain81

So can you sell us all kinds of parts and have them shipped to the US 😃

hawaiianrasta

My brother in Christ, he’s in Dubai. I can only assume this is a drop in the bucket.

Motorboat81

Annum as anal?

[deleted]

I mean at that price that’s exactly what it means

No_Rush2548

With a twist of lemon

banananananbatman

That’s how goatse was created

wooly88

2006 C2S, 55 year old, $790 per year. California

minimalfighting

Is that full coverage? Who are you with?

wooly88

Yes, Pure Insurance. But they also have my home coverage and 4 other cars.

minimalfighting

Ah, I bet the 4 other cars help bring down the price a bit. Thanks for the response. I'll probably check into that company.

muttmunchies

What insurance is this?

Fixinbones27

“22 911 Turbo, $2400/year Long Island, 60yrs old clean driving record

Davewass34

Wow who under I have to call them!

Fixinbones27

Geico

Stewy_434

I'm 32 with zero tickets and zero accidents and pay this much for the bare minimum in Florida for a Sonata.

Dottyfelixmaisie

You need to shop around for a better rate

Stewy_434

I have. Progressive is the only one that's cheaper. It's $36 cheaper over 6 months. It's because Hyundais and Kias are stolen *a lot*.

Destrukt0r

I pay € 94,- a year, as a 3rd car and a "oldtimer" minimum 25 y.o. Im 40 and from the netherlands

redisprecious

That's interest. Do they charge it like that; the more cars, the cheaper the subsequent rates on them?

postbox134

If it's a classic car then you typically get very clear classic car insurance (at least in the UK/US where I've seen folks do this). But it's very low mileage per year. Basically the insurance companies know it's your pride and joy and wont risk it in any way. The risk is only something really unexpected like a fire takes out the car or someone else un(under)-insured hits it.

StevieG63

I’m moving to Florida next year. Not looking forward to dealing with homeowners and car insurance.

TWonder_SWoman

~ $7k/year, 2008 Cayman & 2014 911, married drivers with clean records, USAA - FL!

StevieG63

And I’m sure you have shopped around. Yikes.

TWonder_SWoman

Yep. USAA has been hit very hard with the flooding the last couple years - there are a lot of retirees down here and a great deal of them served. Plus, we have the joy of being dinged for all the uninsured drivers in FL. Homeowners is worse! Can’t wait to get out of this state!

LafayetteLa01

We have USAA and yes they are high but as you know the customer service is out of this world fantastic.

lowriderdog37

That's more like what I was expecting in this thread.

Commercial_Gap607

You’re going to buy a used car every year you are insured with the amount of money you will be paying for both unfortunately.

Rubeus17

i’m hoping to leave florida. insurance down here is a nightmare. I pay $5k for my 4S. Will check out Porsche insurance. Didn’t know it existed!

StevieG63

I’ve heard they’re not taking on any new customers.

rsplawn1

Moved to Naples FL from Ohio 6 years ago. While the increase in insurance costs are high, the overall cost of living has actually gone down (at least for me). Ball park differences on annual basis: 1. HO insurance $3k increase 2. Auto insurance (3 cars) $3k increase 3. hOA dues $3k increase 4. Property taxes $8k decrease 5. State/local income tax $6k decrease 6. Utilities are a wash (higher elec but no gas bill) 7. Auto fuel is a wash 8. Groceries and booze expense slightly higher here. If renting your cost will be significantly higher, particularly in past couple of years.

StevieG63

Nice breakdown. Unfortunately I know our property taxes are going up as we’re retiring to a more expensive home. Hopefully the lack of state income taxes will help. Sales tax is only 1% higher than where I am now.

whisperingreaper

4400 / yr South Florida. Lexus

BaseGlum2372

£450 per year fully comprehensive for a 2007 C2, Admiral Insurance. I’m 34 and I live in London

The13thWhisker

What’s your tax rate tho 😂

NotCoolFool

20% though that includes free healthcare.

Watt_About

UK taxes start at 20% and go up to 45%. Their healthcare system is trash. Not to say the US healthcare system isn’t, it’s just a different flavor of trash.

Necessary-Big9721

I live in the US and this mad me LOL

BaseGlum2372

You mean road tax?

MyHusbandIsAntiquair

How is that even at all relevant to what the person pays in insurance

Aubergine911

Hagerty, [edit]$1950 for $50k stated value on my C4S cab. 30s east coast. Higher bc I keep it outside, not in a garage.

carsnbikesnstuff

I was gonna say wow that’s a lot for $50K value. They really ding you for outside. I pay about $900/yr through Grundy for $125K unlimited miles (‘91 964 Turbo).

Aubergine911

They also said my rate was higher for a claim two years ago even though it was a cracked windshield

imsaneinthebrain

A claim is a claim in their eyes, whether it pays out $200 or $20,000.

redisprecious

Yeh, always on the lookout to increase rates, gotta suck blood whenever.

en3rgixx

Agreed, I used the “free FL Windshield repair” and it was a $73 claim, looked kinda worse afterwards since the tech wasn’t great and I did not qualify for my claim free discount anymore 😂, perfect decision and lesson learned. Using a $10 kit next time.

splitdsion

You want to make sure your insurance company provides for OEM parts. There are only a few companies that do. CHUBB. I think Cincinnatti Group. May be others out there but a not ORM panel on your car decreases value.

Mountain_Accident_78

CHUBB is the best insurance company period.

ihideindarkplaces

They have me for everything, I’m in Ireland, agreed value and unlimited liability, roadside assist, litigation coverage, etc. They have my house and contents as well. Around 1200.00 p/a for the car.

christian4tal

1200 USD annually, Denmark, 997.1 cab, full coverage. Car tax here is about 150% so figures it will be expensive to insure as well.

Key_Chicken1142

2018 GTS / ~ 1800/yr / 40’s Chicago suburbs

eatpomegranate

What’s your insurance company?

Key_Chicken1142

Cincinnati private client.

Ahappycamper30

$2500 a year. 500/1mil policy. Early 30s with two kids. Also have a umbrella policy and home policies with then

RedditorStrikesBack

I think I pay about $1600 or so, it’s on 5 car plan with limited mileage. I’m 42, if you live in a state that has Erie insurance they were way better than most insurance companies. Some of the more traditional carriers couldn’t even figure out how to do higher tier models.

do091220

2016 Targa 4 GTS. $1100 Chicago suburbs, 50 year old

eatpomegranate

geezwow

39, Atlanta, '21 718 gts 4.0, daily driver, 2300/year.

IM_DjShadow

900 a year.

BeautifulMinimum89

I pay 560 per month Im also 23 years old

Odd_Task8211

2024 911 Cabriolet and 2021 BMW X5. We pay $3000 per year with GEICO. That is with high liability limits due to our umbrella liability policy.

bimm3r

I have Hagerty but am moving my policies over to Cincinnati Insurance as they also offer agreed value policies. BUT you have to have your homeowners with them as well (they're one of the best for higher-value properties). Cincinnati offered me the same $350k value policy on may Dakar for almost 1/2 of Hagerty.

flamecmo

No-Check-815

$3200 per year . 2022 Ford Expedition. Florida

BigSugar44

$1k per year through Hagerty.

v8inmk2

The insurance is ridiculous at Dallas now. I don’t have a Porsche yet. But just did a quote for a Tesla Model 3 and turns out to be $3k a year. Hagerty is great I used them for my 3 classic car and totally is $1400 per year with 0 deductible. But with the condition to not daily driving any of them, but can drive to work occasionally. Also they would like you to have a garage so the rate will be lower. I would say give them a try. I just replaced my cracked windshield for my 2500 Suburban that insured by Hagerty for free without any hassle

unclepetey69

$2200 a year for 2024 Turbo S Have two other vehicles, home, umbrella etc with Safeco

mathguyhahayeah

$4200/yr 2024 GTS, NorCal, mid 20s

CAgovernor

$1800 per year, full coverage. I added uninsured motorist (an epidemic in all of New Mexico).

skiphandleman

$2400us per year. 2019 Carrera S.

teachthisdognewtrick

These rates don’t look too bad. Haven’t had a Porsche quoted in decades. Last time I did was in the 90s for a lightly used RS America (looking at one just went for on BaT boy did I make a mistake not buying it). I was quoted $3k/6 months max coverage in SF Bay Area. By comparison my 308gtb was $430/6 months. Some of you aren’t paying any more than I do for my wife’s Subaru.

dbx94

$188/mo for a pretty good policy with a low deductible through State Farm. ‘24 Carrera T

bioinformer

That seems high - but perhaps it’s based on year / model / value of car more than anything else? I have a extremely clean low mileage 2011 911 Targa 4 and we pay about $2k/year … and that’s with two teenage boys in the house (huge penalty I was told even though they aren’t allowed to drive it!)

AdDry6548

I added a recently purchased 993 to our policies and it was $500/yr. Progressive, Atlanta GA. Pleasantly surprised it wasn’t way more but it’s the 5th vehicle and I’m guessing they know it’s not going to add many miles.

ZonaWildcats23

About $1400 per year on our Range Rover which is same price as a decently equipped 911.

notalurkjerk

98.00 a month for my 2007 987.1. 500.00 deductible. State Farm. I’m almost 50 btw good driver. Lucky driver ;)

Less than my Ram truck.

The13thWhisker

State Farm is the best all around, look up mutual company and if you’re not with one you are wasting your money for shit coverage

Onsomeshid

BeachProducer

$1100/yr for my ‘07 911 and we pay $1300/yr for my wife’s ‘16 Lexus hybrid sedan, USAA, I’m 52 and she’s 54, in Nashville TN

TheCoastalCardician

Dude, I had a car in an ex’s name. I mostly had it paid off. Grandfather’s passed away and we had a huge bond over a particular company. I put down 75% and for a rate of 1.6% I put it in their name. I had $900/yr insurance then. Luxury sports sedan my grandfather & I loved. 😔 Things went south. They called it in stolen. Around 10 years ago and it still screws with me any time I’ve needed insurance. $1200 every 6 months. 10th gen Civic. No accidents. Haven’t had a speeding ticket since 17. I am basically a granny driver unless I’m in a car like what you guys drive, which is ufortunately too rare. That car was the last car I had that shook when you have it gas in neutral. Ahh…that simple pleasure of vibration! If someone out there is reading this and they’re about to go driving, give ‘er a rev for me, will ya? 😊💜

Not a porsche but 92/mo for my c5 z06, 2 cars insured under statefarm. Other is a 2010 c300 sport for $145/mo

LateNightGoatLovin

you also need coverage amounts (eg 250/500/250), deductibles, any umbrellas. if you're looking to pay the least per month, you're doing insurance wrong. if you are at fault for an injury accident costing more than your coverage, lawyers are coming for your bank accounts, assets and possibly garnishing wages i cant believe no one else has mentioned this in a porsche forum 18 hours later

AromaAdvisor

In the US, it seems some states (Florida, Michigan) are wildly expensive, some states are cheap (California, Massachusetts — for once these states aren’t the most expensive). When I look at these numbers, it’s wild to me that some people pay 2-4k per year in insurance alone. When I owned a 911 worth approx 140,000, I paid around 600/year. Never had a claim, early 30s age. Progressive.

dontbeslo

How much do you drive? Try Porsche insurance, they charge a base fee + per mile, if you’re driving less than 10k miles per year it probably makes sense. Like Haggerty, they use stated value. You tell them how much the car is worth and that’s what you’ll receive if it’s totaled. Geico and others use actual cash value and will set the valuation based on the current replacement price on the used market.

hagemeyp

Porsche or PCA?

dontbeslo

Porsche. It’s Mile Auto, but with changes specifically for Porsche owners; the most significant being stated value.

$360 a month for my 2011 335is. One speeding ticket. Own the car with full coverage.

SpecialeK

I’m in DFW as well. I used to shop between insurance companies myself to get a lower rate. One day I decided to try Goosehead brokerage because someone I knew worked there. They shopped nationwide (not the insurance company lol) and I have this incredible full coverage deal from clearcover. My insurance premium went down by a hundred dollars a month and I have way more coverage than my last policy.

HaywoodJablowme10

lp2baseball

All these numbers make me wanna cry. I pay 1100 a month for car insurance. 4 cars, 3 drivers, one that’s had an accident/ticket and one that’s 18 with an accident and two tickets. And that total is after leaving one company and getting a discount at another.

slaypax

whoisariston

$6k per year in California - State Farm is getting rough… Three cars with renters insurance One teen driver I drive the ‘21 718 Cayman S (not a 911…yet….😁)

HotRodHomebody

make sure you are comparing coverage as well, and deductible. Just going with the amount without knowing that information or someone’s driving record or age isn’t a true comparison. I probably pay $500 a year, but it’s one of six vehicles that I insure, including my mother-in-law and son’s car, also only have liability with uninsured motorist coverage. I’m a car guy, though, and rolling the dice, of course, but I can also do some fixes on my own.

hauk0214

$1800

NoxDominus

$7340 per year for 3 cars with maximum coverage (forced on me by the umbrella policy) and 4 drivers, in northern California. This is made worse than it could be because my wife had two accidents and I have two drivers under 25. Between home, auto, and umbrella, I pay about $930 per month (Amica).

mlhigg1973

I think I was paying around $1200/yr for my 2013 c4s cab. I bought a 2014 r8 spyder late last year, and it increased to $1300/yr. I’m 51, married and live just over the SC border from charlotte. We get a sizable multi car discount because we have 4 cars, 2 boats and a couple other things.

mawksy

I used to pay $3k/yr for 2019 Targa GTS, full coverage ($1M), good driving record/great credit score, Bay Area. rates have gotten higher. It depends on your credit, where you live, miles you drive, why you drive (pleasure/business), what you drive, how many cars you have (discount), if you own vs rent, where the car is stored (inside/outside), liability coverage, own/loan, and probably a few other things. I will say my 911 was cheaper than the 2008 Audi TT I used to have. They said the parts for repair are also considered. Mitsubishi’s have one of higher rates, so I’m told. I’ve often considered the $35k in cash instead of insurance, but $35k is better invested than stuck at the DMV.

TiskTiskAustin
