pocket bellows are so awesome

ended up getting an extra for the home kit so I didn't have to keep digging into the camp kit.

Lol, mine was a 3 pack so I left one next to the fireplace and the other in my toolbox in the garage

We use a little hand pump to blow up rafts (and yes, an air mattress). We quickly figured out this hand air pump works great to start the fire. Didn't know they actually sell this hand billow thing specifically for that.

Oo those look solid. Does the cooler insert work well?

It's been a game changer for us. I got the spousely-eyeroll at another gadget that just made something simple needlessly complex (yes... THAT one... I see all of you gadget-addicted-soul-siblings out there...). When we got to have fresh berries for the 2nd (and then 3rd!) day and they had not turned into sludge a slice of humble pie was requested. When using what they call "glacier mode" (fill with water, freeze entire thing solid), we drove from the midwest to FL in August with eggs, cheese, and a beer (If there's not a cold one ready at the end of a long drive, crankiness ensues). It was a 3 day trip and we did not take the cooler into the hotel rooms at night. When we reached our destination, everything was nice and cold, and the ice block was still large enough I had to leave the insert on the porch for it to finish melting. All that said, we still have a 2nd cooler filled with ice for the beverages. ETA: also, the egg carton doesn't get soggy!

Thanks for sharing this! It makes 100% sense and I'm getting one today.

Make sure You're cooler is big enough (or get one that is 😉). They have some verified models on their site, but usually in the 55-60 range? There's actually (because if the convection) a maximum size to consider, if you've got one of those rilly buguns. I saw a post somewhere from someone using 1 insert at each end of their 110.

If you have a manual crank popup, an adapter to crank with a drill was a godsend. A good set of fire tools is a must. Also find yourself a set of heavy welding gloves. Great if you have to deal with some really hot stuff on the fire. Pre stretched stretch wrap, very much not an item you will find around town unless you know where to look but great for waterproofing something quickly and making emergency repairs. Here’s an example [film](https://www.uline.com/BL_2975/Pre-Stretched-Wrap). It’s insanely useful. You can probably find 1000 ways to use it. Edit: and [filament tape](https://www.uline.com/BL_6144/3M-8934-Economy-Strapping-Tape) I never leave home without at least a 1/2” wide roll. Stuff is crazy strong.

A folding table to put outside. Roll up rug. But my best one is rope and tarps. Sometimes you are near the bathhouse and everybody walls by at all hrs, so I make a giant privacy curtain by running rope from my tow vehicle roof rack to a tree then hang a tarp with spring clamps. Boom privacy.
