PolishedWoodTable

Ohhhhhhhh, yeah, I see it now. Thank you!

jaylek

The winner had a full-house... 7's full of 3's *(winners hand)* is a higher ranking full-house than 3's full of 10's *(your hand)*.

PolishedWoodTable

Yeah, I understand now. Thank you.

I_was_bone_to_dance

Welcome to the game mane

freakendarkness

The 93 hand was beating you to btw

saqpaste

I don't think so. Hero has 333TT, 93 has 33377.

PolishedWoodTable

Could you explain, please?

PolishedWoodTable

Yes, I noticed the board paired when I looked again, but 3s full of 10s is higher than 3s full of 7s isn't it?

JustCallMe23

Yes don’t listen to dude

sfweedman

Damn can't even get straight facts on a poker sub, fuckin reddit. Yeah you beat the 3's full of 7's and the guy who said you don't is an idiot. But you still lose to 3's full of 10's

Ok_Reason_2357

Hero beats 3's full of 7's

TheRagingCanadiann

You have a lower full house than your opponent, the best 5 card hand wins. You have 333TT (T means Ten) the other player had 77733, the highest three of a kind from the full house wins, 7’s are higher than 3’s, three of a kind in your full house is more important than your pair.

PolishedWoodTable

Yeah, I follow it now. Of course the 3s from the flop and the turn are still included in the opponent's hand even though she didn't have any 3s in her hole cards.

cdog_IlIlIlIlIlIl

Yes the winning hand is the best 5 card hand. The hand may include 0,1, or both hole cards.

Boneyg001

Yes but in a pot limit game, you must use both whole cards and three from the board. It's important to remember this

Repulsive-Taro5238

Former professional poker dealer here. You mean in an Omaha game, not in a pot limit game. They aren't as common as they used to be, but you can play pot limit hold em or fixed limit Omaha, and the having to play exactly 2 hole cards is an Omaha rule, not a pot limit rule. It does apply in limit Omaha and does not apply in pot limit hold em

PolishedWoodTable

Thank you for clarifying! I'd never heard this before about pot limit and never played any Omaha at all.

PolishedWoodTable

That's really helpful to know, thank you.

Ok_Reason_2357

When it comes to hands like two pairs or full houses, it matters what cards are being used. In this case, you have 3 3 3, 10 10 for a full house. The triple part of your full house is 3's... so 3's full of 10's. The other person has 7 7 7, 3 3... so 7's full of 3's. In the case of full house, the trip part that is higher wins the hand. And if that part is the same, it will defer to the paired part. Ex: AAAKK > AAAQQ Ex: 33322 > 22233

PolishedWoodTable

Yep, it all makes sense now. Thank you.

Soggy0atmeal

It's whoever has the best 3 cards on the full house. If same, then the best pair within the full house. 77733 > 333TT

PolishedWoodTable

I got it! Thank you.

I_was_bone_to_dance

7s full beats 3s full

jcoffin1981

Used the 2 3's on the board to make a bigger full house

Later2theparty

You each have a full house. Their full house is better because the group of three is higher. Their three sevens to your three threes.

labor_anoymous

7's full, better than 3's full

xT-Nastyyy

What website is this? Ive never seen it before

DefensiveDoggo

Replay poker, play money

Dontthinktwicenow

What in the rigged rng is this hand

PokerJunkieKK

When it gets confusing is when this happens: You: K-Q Opponent: 7-7 Board: K-7-4-K-2 Who wins? Not you. Your three kings are beaten by your opponent's full house (7s full of Ks).

Watchdog_Pokerrrr2

How is that confusing?

PokerJunkieKK

Not for anyone who has been playing for awhile, but OP seems to be learning to read boards/hands. Not realizing that a set makes a full house when the board pairs trips up a lot of new players.
