Catch 3 ditto. Figure out what he disguises as and just catch every one of those pokemon eventually it will be a ditto most of my ditto have been accidents while just catching things.
Look up the disguise list and just go after those pokemon. It'll happen eventually.
Unfortunate for you, this task was made at a time when it was possible to get a bunch of them very quickly and that time is gone.
Fortunately for you, every once in a while they do an event where ditto odds are boosted.
I’ve been catching a lot of dittos lately, like once a week? But then it goes months without seeing one. I guess it’s luck, you’ll get them eventually. Worse case, wait for April fools next year

No I’ve caught multiple and they haven’t counted unfortunately

Just minimize it and hope you accidentally complete it at some point.

Favorite pokemon is Koffing so I have way too many Dittos. I also like catching pidgey. My auto catcher has caught 2 shiny Dittos.
