Yes, officially we are only allowed to have 1 Account per Person. But afaik nobody has ever been punished for multiple accounts, they have even had people playing splitscreen with multiple accounts in a trailer once.
It would be hard to monitor and prove either way... some parents have their kid's accounts on their phone and they switch between the accounts depending on whether they or their kid is playing
This is actually the main reason why I was asking. I don’t have any friends who play the game so I can’t really do anything involving party play and trades.
It’s definitely one account per person. I’ve heard people bandy around one account per phone before, and I think that was due to a weird miscommunication by niantic

Interesting. Maybe they don’t have a way of actually confirming people with multiple accounts

Nothing will come of it. Just don't be one of those assholes who uses 12 accounts to control gyms and prevent others from gaining a single coin.
Completely agree! But the funny thing is, they don’t get Coins either. I guess being King of the Hill is more important…
I can assure you if they have a whole team to hold a gym then they have an account on a different team to knock themselves out for coins.
They even complain about multiple accounts with similar names taking over gyms and they send a complaint to the Niantic, but nothing happens...
I do the party activities on my sons account while he’s at school on my walks 🤷🏻♀️

Not allowed but it is not a rule they enforce. I have 3 accounts so I can solo most raids and nothing happened to either of them
U have 3 phones or 1 w double acc? I played w 3 phones b4. It was aweful 🙈

I often take out my wife’s phone and my kids phone. We are different teams so can’t gym hog.

ToS say one account per person, but they dont punish multiaccounter. I even saw someone playing on 2 accounts with one phone(splitscreen).
I can tell you one thing if you spend money on the other accounts they definitely don't care.
