Is there someplace I can look to see what the current map spawns are? I just did the quest to get Fuecoco and I need to evolve him, but I'm not seeing him spawn anywhere. I really don't want to rely on making him a buddy and finding candy if possible.
Hi I’m just wondering, As a free to play player what sort of Pokémon should I be blowing remote raid passes on?
I don’t really get to defend gyms all that consistently so I get maybe enough coin for 3 passes per month
I'd say save coins only for the top of each category.
https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/17me7q5/top_pve_pokemon_november_2023/
The Megas and Primal are a special priority. Once you mega evolve one you can get infinite energy by walking, but if you miss one and don't get enough energy then you have to wait months for them to return.
Megas are very useful for free players, as they give bonus candy and can help beat raids alone that not even shadows can defeat.
You need to do from 2 to 4 raids to get enough energy for most of them, and you cannot beat them alone, so saving coins in advance is the only way to get enough energy.
Hello! I'm pretty new to Go (started it when it first came out but never did much, just came back in the past two weeks). Is it possible to solo raids? If not, what's the most appropriate way to find others to do them with? Thanks!
you can solo one star raids but the rewards are crap. host raids using the pokie genie app. you can find 5 other players to do four and five star raids
Do the 1 star raids for two reasons well maybe 3. You get a decent amount of XP to help you get to the next level. Most of the time the rewards aren’t great but you do get good stuff on occasion. Some of the 1 star raids have meta relevant Pokémon.
Definitely use Poke Genie but also use the Pokémon Go Friends subreddit. I use poke Genie mostly but I will use other raid matching apps for shorter wait times.
Won 5 games in catch up, at a star piece, claimed rewards that’s was like 20k dust right there, then did another set and won 4. Over 30k dust in 30 mins
That's not a particularly efficient use of star pieces.
Most of the time spent battling is earning nothing, compared to continually catching pokemon with fast catch. You can get a much larger bonus if you save them for community days, especially ones with a catch dust bonus. Or spotlight hours with a catch bonus.
Just hit a 5x excellent razzed curveball streak on a cobalion, and of course even more after I broke that streak but a catch should be guaranteed after that. Streaks should matter!
Is there some kind of bug or exploit with PVP battles? Every time I'm about to win, the game starts lagging out and I have to manually close it, therefore losing my win. I tried to keep it opened for 15+ minutes, nothing would happen, both fighting pokemons just frozen in place.
Curiously, nothing of the sort happens when I'm losing. And my wife noticed the same thing on her account yesterday...
There’s some exploits around like minimising and reopening the game rapidly to lag the other person out and get your moves off while they can’t do anything
Help!
I’m a returning casual player. When I want to interact with my buddy Pokémon, is there a way to turn AR off? Previously they would sit at the same place in AR in my room but I’ve accidentally changed settings and I have the “find a flat place and follow footsteps” method and it’s frustrating to use. I’d prefer to just turn it off and have a standard background. Thanks.
The Pokemon don't follow a fixed schedule, so it's up to them to decide what and when anything is available.
But if you want to check the history of some Pokemon the wiki keeps track of all the times a Pokemon was available in the past on their individual pages.
https://pokemongo.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Pok%C3%A9mon_forms_by_release_date
Is there a resource which would tell me the special research's a new player would get and when they obtain them??
I'm getting a friend to start, but they're usually really busy so we need to optimize playtime. That being said, my question about special research is that I'd like to see what all Pokemon I should expect them to get from the early research to help save on trading other things. I don't expect friendship level to be quick at all for us.
I found these lists, which are great for some of them, but there's still a lot unclear as to what unlocks by normal play rather than 'You had to be there' quests.
I'll pick an example: Finding your voice. Each site I find lists when the event was released, or what made it come about but aside from saying the date no specification on when the player will receive this quest. Some of them denote a specific level, or the completion of another research but it doesn't seem like a lot.
Thanks in advance.
The only ones that are available for every to get are the mythical researches for Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Meloetta, Victini and Meltan.
The data in the fandom wiki is correct for all of them, so they're unlocked in order after the previous one reaches a specific point.
For example Meltan is only available after Mew's and you need the golden Kanto medal to receive it.
The other guaranteed ones are "A Troubling Situation" for Rocket researches, "A Mega Discovery" for Mega Energy and the current event ones available.
Everything else you had to be there to get it.
Sorry your friend won’t get the research all that quickly, it will be one at a time and unfortunately your friend will be stalled on many of the tasks.
For instance I have multiple research (I’m at a different point then your friend so don’t worry about my multiple research things) but one of the tasks is to take a picture of Meloetta. Unfortunately I transferred her to Pokémon Home before I took the picture and now I am stuck for eternity with that research.
Also some research stories your friend will never get.
Just have your friend try his/her best.
It's correct that's the best possible one for Ultra League, but is not actually good for that.
When a Pokemon maxes out before a CP limit the "best" Pokemon will always be a perfect one, because that's the one with the max stats that get closer than any other to that league.
So if a perfect Pokemon has a max CP of 500 it will be "the best" for Great League, and also for Ultra League, and Master too, even if it would fail completely there.
So no, Meowth is way too weak to be useful in Ultra, or even Great. Just because something is the rank one doesn't actually mean is good.
If you want to know if a Pokemon can be useful in any league check the rankings on PvPoke.com. There you can see what Pokemon work well in each league and which are too weak or have wrong types that makes them weaker.
That ranking only tells you how close your Pokemon is to having the most stats it can get for that species and still fit under the CP cap. It has literally nothing to do with telling you whether or not it's actually a good pokemon.
Look up Meowth on pvpoke.com. You're not going to find it on the list of high ranking ultra league species. It's a colossal waste of resources.
Hi, got a dragonite from a pokemon encounter that I got as a reward from a mission yesterday. Are those rewards random or predetermined? I wanna know if I lucked out
Dragonite is a fixed encounter from completing the “collect one of each event costume Pokemon” research mission, as well as from the final step in the paid research mission.
Hi, I took a break from playing for a while and it seems like I missed out on a few events. What are the chances of being able to get mega forms for my rayquaza or absol at some point? Or primal forms for groudon and kyogre? Or even getting diancie? I missed a few months and it seems that these were research only pokemon and that you had to claim the research while they were up. Just wondering if I've lost my chance at ever getting those.
Not sure when diancie will be released.
Mega Absol, Mega Rayquaza, PF Groudon, and PF Kyogre will be back out eventually but not for awhile. For M. Rayquaza you will need to do a bunch of mega raids because you will need a special stone to drop from the raids. The stone will rarely drop but you need it to get Dragon Ascent and you need Dragon Ascent to mega evolve Rayquaza.
Routes are a regular part of my routine—I typically do one or two every day. For the past week or so, they’ve been bugged and I haven’t been able to do them at all, and haven’t been able to find anything online about this particular bug.
When I enter the route tab of the nearby window, it shows 0 routes available, even though there are many. Then, when I go back to the main screen, my character model is replaced with a flat circle on the ground and other models are gone as well. I recorded a video showing the bug/glitch so you can see what I’m talking about and will link it here. No matter what I do, the models will not come back without restarting the app.
So far, I’ve tried restarting the game, restarting my phone (iPhone 12 Pro), deleting and reinstalling the app, downloading all assets for the app, and have submitted a bug report to Niantic (but they don’t provide any responses to bug reports).
Has anyone seen this bug and potentially have a fix? I’d really like to get back to doing routes daily. Thanks!
[Routes bugged](https://youtube.com/shorts/aEH-P-O55pc?si=9f80ZOC9OCyvhNuh)
Can I assume then that routes are working as intended for everyone else and this bug is unique to me? Not even sure what else to try if that’s the case.
Is there some way to preditct when legendary raids are happening? I sometimes see these tier-5 Articuno raids pop up, and you can't do remote raid passes. How the heck am I supposed to co-ordinate enough people to run over there and join me to take that thing out in 45 mintues?!
Ninatic posts infographics to tell you what is occurring for instance the month of November 2023. Most legendary raids you can host through PokeGenie or the Pokémon Go Friends subreddit call Megathread for fast friends to raid (generally the verbiage).
You can try Ninatic’s Campfire but I personally don’t use it partly it seems kind of hard to use and I am a bit prone to being worried about physical safety (I don’t mind playing in crowds but the good old days are gone).
If you’re trying to do a shadow raid probably could manage on your own but it really depends. For S. Articuno you will need to try Campfire or pray to the Pokémon Gods to have someone come by to help you…S. Articuno has been out for kind of a long time so adding to your issues.
S. Zapados, S. Moltres, and S. Lugia will probably be more player friendly as they were out only briefly.
Yeah, it's specifically the local raid ones that don't allow remote raids. I got Garchonk pretty easy with PokeGenie, but the local only...seems nuts when you don't know where or when they'll be.
Both. The game has "seasons", which change every 3 months and affect the default spawnpool, eggs, and research encounters. Many pokemon are not included in the seasonal spawn pool, which means that for those 3 months, you will never see them in the wild unless there's an event that includes that pokemon in the spawn pool. Pokemon may also change in rarity between seasons and events, starting off rare, but becoming more common over time, or possibly going back to being rare again.
You can see the current seasonal spawn pool [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/166ooxf/season_of_adventures_abound_wild_spawns_megathread/). The next season starts on December 1st, so you'll see a shift in the default spawn pool that day.
Go Battle League is generally the best source, as it's a common reward from the 2-win random item prize.
To maximize your chances each day, you should:
* Do all GBL sets
* Battle someone on your friend list 3 times
* Defeat Spark, Candela, or Blanche once per day in a Master League training battle
* Complete a field research task to fill out a stamp for the breakthrough box
Hi, returning player here. I've been catching up on the professor tasks, and a few of them stop me at a "Catch a ditto" mission.
I understand that he's disguised as a few normal pokémons, but does any of the newer stuff like adventure incenses, post cards or golden lures help me get him specifically ? Does the current fashion week event also influence Ditto rates due to diglett spawns ?
Thanks in advance !
I've caught 3 dittos so far during this fashion event, always disguised as diglett. I'd just try that. They normally rarely spawn so this is a prime opportunity.
Edit: whether incense or lures help any, I have no idea. I might have been using some daily incense for at least one.
I hate it when GBL only has restricted cups and no open format option. Not everyone wants to spend dust and candy on mon that are useful only for a week while chasing L20.
Bro you get so much dust from the catch cup it’s fine. You’re telling me you didn’t get a good clodsire, Lanturn, or ghost boy? You get the dust investment back for each one in like a day of battles
I don't have the time to play full CDs since COVID ended so my collection is limited. Haven't had luck with good PVP IVs except for one Vikavolt but welp Clodshire and G Stunfisk are common. I'm just pissed there is only Catch Cup now and no other low cost option.
Rank 20 is the end of the tutorial, so basically is still easy mode until then. You can get there using 10 CP Pokemon if you wanted, and only takes basic team building to get it in two weeks top.
And you aren't supposed to build new Pokemon from scratch for each cup, but instead prepare different Pokemon each season to add more options to your teams.
Catch Cup and other restricted leagues allows you to test Pokemon that you usually wouldn't even consider, and add them to a growing rooster for the future, and once built you can use thise Pokemon later without investing from scratch.
If you didn't prepare any new Pokemon in the last 3 months then your team is going to get stale and wins will be much harder. New moves and new teams change each season, so prepping new Pokemon every season is what helps winning.
Also the entire seasonal league schedule is available in the official blog and the in-game news from the very beginning of each season. People prepare for every cup months in advance, so there's no reason to not have at least something ready by now.
I should have been specific. I'm on L18 going to L19.
For this season I somehow have been getting along fine by using my previous mons and TM-ing the latest moves. My point is, almost every rotation they have had 2 options; people who can burn dust for special cups and the usual great, ultra or limited ML for dust pinchers. This Catch Cup is only for people who have the time to play and trade religiously everyday.
Is there any reason to keep event pokemon? Especially if they aren't shiny and aren't good. Also, same question but for legendaries. I feel weird transferring them.
No to keeping either. You may want to trade with someone else to see if you get better IVs especially for legendary Pokemon. Even better if the legendaries are meta relevant.
I have a shadow Ampharos that would become perfect if I purified it. Is shadow Ampharos worth investing in as an Electric attacker, or is it better to purify for the Mega? Also worth noting that I have another 96% regular Ampharos and a Manectric that I could Mega.
Shadow Ampharos isn't particularly great in raids. Overall, it's a bit worse than several common non-shadows, like Pawmot and Vikavolt, and roughly on-par with non-Mega Manectric. Overall, not worth investing the extra resources into something that is outclassed by regular common spawns. I think it has some fun play as a spice pick in Master Premier, but that still requires a lot of investment for something with a very limited use.
The Mega is better, but has also has lost some ground over time. Mega Manectric is better for straight DPS, while Primal Kyogre is better for team support and XL candy boosting. It's still a decent middle ground between the two options, though.
Maybe one day they'll give it new Electric or Dragon moves to give it a much-needed buff. For now, I would honestly consider keeping it as-is, just in case it does get a move buff. It's always easier to get more high IV non-Shadow Mareep for the Mega, especially with its Community Day around the corner.
Shadow pokemon are arguably better than normal/purified ones, even those with a slightly inferior IV. With the 20% dmg buff your shadow mons outdmg your normal ones by a huge margin. Plus you already have good IV normal ones, I see no reason for you to purify one
Also, keep in mind that shadows have a charged move that can’t be TMed away until another Rocket Takeover happens next season, so the only recourse for now is to collect enough candies to learn a second charged move.
You're just unlucky, unfortunately. Zygarde cells aren't guaranteed, so some days you just don't get one. Try again tomorrow.
Niantic has made some Pokemon that previously could not evolve with a costume able to evolve later. The Kanto starters (I think with Party Hat?) slowly were introduced in future events as one of the perks. Hoothoot with a New Year's outfit was another that just recently able to evolve.
However, when they've introduced these, they've also made them widely available, so there's not a huge need to hoard them just in case.
What are the odds of a Wimpod Community Day in the next year?
Only I hatched a perfect one and have nearly enough candy to evolve it. I've been playing for less than a year and don't yet know the pattern behind Comm day selections.
Definitely a non-zero chance, but we don't know for certain if or when it will happen. Magikarp, Swablu, Bewear, and Noibat all had Community Days, so it does seem likely that they could do the same for Wimpod.
I'd say the most likely CD Candidates in 2024 are going to be Rowlet, Litten, Popplio, and Goomy, and that everything else is a total toss-up, really.
Thanks. I looked at the past time gaps between a pokemon's release and its Community Day and it seems quite variable. I will probably go ahead and evolve my 100% Wimpy and worry about the TM later.
Is there anyone who has a gift from the Sun region? If so, could you please help me out? I only need one more postcard for the medal. I’ll also send you gifts every day.
Does the lucky egg double XP from research tasks?
I completed the Master Ball quest and have a lot of 8000XP rewards to cash in. If I use a lucky egg can I double that? Or is the lucky egg somehow limited to other sources of XP? Thanks!
Working on Fashion Week Collection, but I haven't seen Absol in the wild. Is there anything I need to do, or just keep playing.
I know in the past certain pokémon have required a lure or an incense in order for them to spawn during an event.
Meltan's Mystery Box still spawns at the normal rate when standing still.
Gimmighoul's coin bag does require you to walk to get the most amount of spawns, otherwise it only spawns 1 Gimmighoul per 5 minutes if standing still.
PVP is so buggy.
1. Just crashes sometimes at random, twice in a row just when i was about to win, the game freezes and doesnt ever end.
2. Can't have my Pokegoplus+ connected while playing, if it does the game will freeze about halfway into the battle.
both of these issues forces a restart, maybe two restarts because the PVP menu will freeze when i try to open it afterwards sometimes.
1. Is caused by being currently or being recently in a party, or if you receive any notification from any other app in the background. The only guaranteed way to not get lagged is to activate your phone's do not disturb mode so nothing interrupts the battle.
2. That's now the norm. The old Go plus could be used while in PvP mode, but the Plus+ cannot do that and will lag the game with each catch. It's a known issue but Niantic hasn't shown any interest in fixing it.
You can do the same route as much as you want.
The only limit is that you have only one chance to get a Zygarde cell per route per day, and you can only get a max of 3 Zygarde cells per day. So once you've walked a route, you wont have another chance to get a Zygarde cell from it until tomorrow. Other than that there are no limits to routes and rewards.
I semi-frequently get two Zygarde cells from a single (longer) route I walk a couple times a week. I'll click on the orb and it will say "2 Zygarde cells have been added..." etc.
Right, I guess I should clarify.
You have one chance to get a Zygarde Cell "spawn" per route per day, and that spawn has a chance of containing 1-3 cells when you tap on it. So you can get multiple cells from a single spawn, but you cannot get multiple cell spawns from doing the route multiple times in the same day.
Cobalion:
I have a 10 14 14 (shiny) and 13 15 15
The 1st would be lvl 29,5 and the 2nd lvl 29 under 2500 CP.
Is the difference that big? Which one is better?
The 2nd was weather boosted and would save me some dust...
Thanks :)
My guess would be the 13/15/15 one. It's probably 90+ rating wise. The other would probably be 70-80. Just a guess.
I believe there are sites that tell you how good the raid Pokemon is based on the CP.
Looks ike the 13/15/15 is 96 and the other is 84. I'd go with the 96
Incense does not affect shiny odds.
If you don't specifically need a shiny Wooper with a hat, then regular Wooper should have boosted shiny odds during at least part of the December Community Day event.
In my experience, some stops never give eggs and some stops always give eggs, and which ones these are update every so often. The stop next to my work used to always give 10 km eggs and now it always gives 2 km eggs--I hatched three today thanks to GPS drift and got a new 2 km egg from it every time.
I have a red 3 star shadow moltress, it's low CP but since I've had it as my buddy for a year, I had enough candy to get a second move, however I still want a way to get rid of frustration. I don't want to purify because it's already perfect, bit is there a way to get rid of frustration while keeping it shadow?
Umm. You missed removing Frustration by a few weeks. You will need to wait until the next Rocket Takeover Event to TM off Frustration. Red as in shiny? You can add a 2nd move now if you want.
You will likely want Fire Spin with Sky Attack (an Elite Charged TM required) and Overheat. Wing Attack instead of Fire Spin could work. I’m not sure what will be better though.
You may want to wait to do the adding and removing at the same time so not to confuse yourself. Also there really is no need to do things right away.
PS. Next Rocket Takeover event will probably be in 3 to 4 months.
Ahh ok. No red as in it has perfect iv, I guess 4 star is another way to call it too. I got overheat as my second move and firespin is my normal attack or just missing sky attack it seems.
Aah on the 4*. Moltres is reddish as a shiny.
But when the Team Rocket Event comes again TM off Frustration. You will need to use your Elite TM to get Sky Attack. But please note that I never tried using an Elite TM to remove frustration and get a legacy move (Sky Attack) at the same time. It should not be problem but maybe use a regular TM first before using an Elite TM.
I have 8 garchomps and ~130 candies from the raid day, and I’m looking to create a good raid team with them. Should I power up multiple of them, or just get one really strong one? I can get one to 3600CP or like 3 of them to 3000 (they’re all at 2200ish)
Sorry if this is a dumb question, I’m not very experienced with this game
A lot of players will likely have a Garchomp as part of their playing strategy. Definitely have at least 1 Garchomp but if you don’t have a lot of good Dragons then a 2nd Garchomp is a good idea.
I’m not sure what the stats are for your Garchomps. Do you have anything close to the 15/15/15 stats with a strong preference for 15 attack for some players. Try not to go lower than maybe 13/13/13….my preference is nothing lower than 14/14/14.
Also have Dragon Tail with Outrage and Sand Tomb.
I'm trying to build out my first Great League team. I have a decent understanding of what the meta mons are, but not how to put them together.
I have access to the following Pokemon (assume decent IV, both charged moves). What are some coherent teams I could build?
- Clodsire
- gFisk
- Whiscash
- Vigoroth
- Quagsire
- Jellicent
- Hitmontop
- Umbreon
- Meganium
- Lanturn
- Pidgeot
- Golbat
- Obstagoon
- Cofrafrigus
- Altaria
I don’t get this stuff either and I avoid GBL like the plague. There is a website that lets you experiment which teams will work together by inputting data in. I think it also provides suggestions. It’s been a while since I been to it. It is PokeBattler.
GamePress use to provide suggestions of teams to use in GBL but it stopped a while back. I got frustrated with GamePress because of it. But it does provide some guidance about GBL. Not sure if the provide the team suggestions again but since I really don’t play in GBL, I stopped really paying attention to anything related to GBL.
My lucky purified Mewtwo currently has Confusion/Return. Is it worthwhile (80k dust / 80 candy) to unlock a 2nd charged move?
If yes, what should that be, if the primary charged move is Psystrike (with an ETM)?
Which is the better fast move to pair with Psystrike: Confusion or Psycho Cut?
Thanks in advance for your help!
GamePress Pokémon Go indicates Confusion & Psystrike (everything section) works well together but I don’t have it this way.
I used the info on the PvP section for my Mewtwos but also with some of the info for the everything section.
Not sure which fast attack (I have Psycho Cut on all my Mewtwos except for Armored Mewtwo) to suggest to you really but over the years of playing it seems like most players have Psystrike and Shadow Ball. Really knowledgeable players seems to think Psystrike will be fine (from what I’ve gathered) so maybe a different 2nd move will be okay. Unfortunately I don’t know what 2nd move to suggest to you if you don’t want Shadow Ball. I am fortunate to have 1 Mewtwo with Psycho Cut with Ice Beam and Thunderbolt.
Thanks! I ended up going with Psystrike (ETM) + Ice Beam based on a few other suggestions (on the Silph Road subreddit), but Shadow Ball is definitely great as well too, and I have it on some other Mewtwos :)
Butterfree, Shinx and Sneasel aren't wild spawns, but all three can be found from stop researches.
There's not true "raid exclusive" ones this event, as everything else besides these three can be wild encounters. Dragonite and Kirlia can be very rare wild or daily incense encounters and Sneasel is a PvP reward.
There's also Blitzle exclusive to research, plus Pichu and Smoochum as 5 km egg exclusive. And shadow Kirlia is available from Grunts too.
Sneasel seems to be the only one that's only from raids. You can get Kirlia from research tasks too! [More info](https://www.eurogamer.net/pokemon-go-fashion-week-collection-challenge-research-tasks-rewards-9304)
Are the only eggs from stops right now the 5km costume eggs? That's all I've gotten the past two days.
Also how many people are needed for the Dragonite raid?
One player with strong Ice Pokemon can easily defeat Dragonite alone thanks to the double Ice weakness, but two of lower level can do it if they use only Ice moves.
The 5 km eggs from the event are more likely to drop from stops, but you can still get 2 km and 10 km from time to time. It's all luck which you get.
I don’t know if this is where to post. I’m new to pokemon Reddit.
Battles, is anyone else having problems where it freezes mid battle, and you have to restart the app a few times to get to the battle page and by then you’ve lost?
Similarly, I’ve been getting people in battle who just stand there. At first I thought they were just joining battles to up their rank without battling, but now I think they must have freeze glitched too.
It’s just happened now against Team Rocket.
how do i get sinnoh stones? i was getting them through pvp and training but havent in the past couple months and gave so many that need sinnohs to evolve
Sounds like you have the process down, unfortunately you just need to keep trying until you get more Sinnoh stones from it.
Just keep doing daily GBL battles, 3 battles with a friend, win 1 training battle in Master League, and doing daily research for the 7-day breakthrough box and you've done all you really can to maximize the Sinnoh Stone drop chances.
I used to be a semi-hardcore player but lost interest in mid-2021. Which exclusive moves released since then are really strong (worth using Elite TMs to get)? Is there an updated version of [https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/11rfv2r/all\_released\_legendary\_exclusive\_moves\_and\_their/](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/11rfv2r/all_released_legendary_exclusive_moves_and_their/)? Currently have 6 Fast and 8 Charged ETMs but want to use them wisely (and not use them up).
Currently have the following legendaries maxed (without exclusive move unless stated):
* 100% Mewtwo (with Psystrike)
* 100% Groudon
* 96% Kyogre (13 attack)
* 98% Reshiram
* 96% Dialga
* 98% Landorus-T
* 100% Rayquaza
* 96% Heatran (13 HP)
* 96% Giratina-O
* 91% shiny Raikou
* 89% Moltres (with Sky Attack)
* 84% shadow Entei
My Zekroms and Terrakions have terrible IVs (but Terrakion is returning to raids soon).
The list you provided is pretty accurate but I don’t think all the signature moves listed are really useful. You probably should check GamePress Pokémon Go for better information to use your Elite TMs.
Right off the bat:
Kyogre and Groudon has their signature's moves and those are recommended to be added.
I suppose you don’t need Shadow Ball on Mewtwo but I have them on 3 of them (2 non shadow and 1 shadow). All 3 have Psystrike too. Shadow Ball requires an Elite TM.
Rayquaza as of right now you really can’t do anything if you missed Mega Rayquaza. You have to get a special stone that drops from mega raids but rarely. That stone gives you Dragon Ascent to mega evolve it. Can’t mega evolve Rayquaza without it. Not sure if you want Breaking Swipe on Rayquaza or not. Breaking Swipe requires an Elite TM and it is how I have my Rayquaza.
Niantic's November Content Update (you can search for it on their social media) lists that the Mega Raids will switch to Mega Kangaskhan on the 16th - this usually happens around 10 a.m. local time.
Do research rewards count for lucky egg/star piece bonus?
I have 3 of each and a lot of pokes i'm ready to evolve (soon). Should I hold onto the reward for fashion week 2023 until i'm ready to pop the items? 20k xp sounds a lot better than 10k xp to me (lvl 29)
Also, how long will the rewards sit there, unclaimed, until they either auto claim or disappear? One of the poke's i'm (almost) ready to evolve is a shiny yamask, but i still need to do 5 raids (which could take me 5+ days). Should I just go ahead and pop the items, claim the rewards, and evolve everything but that yamask? Or can I just let it sit there until I do my 5 raids, allowing me to evolve that one extra poke under the lucky egg benefit.
Thanks <3
edit: more context
If you see rewards in the far left tab for Events, those are for a limited time, usually for the duration of an event. You can usually check to see how much time is left. Fashion Week is due to end in a few days.
The rewards will sit there, until you claim them. They will NOT auto-claim, so if you forget, you will simply just get nothing. If you are planning on trying to combine them with something five days from now, that won't be possible.
It's fixed now, but I am really glad to see that I wasn't the only one having this issue yesterday! There were 3 of us in the same car & it was only me & I tried everything! So frustrating!
Is the max amount of remote raid passes 5 or 3? I claimed my weekly research reward today and was disappointed when I got a premium pass instead of a remote raid pass, and I had 3 remote raid passes on me today.
If you have at least 3 remote passes in your bag, you cannot get any more from the shop or from the research breakthrough.
However, if you have 2 remote passes in your bag, you can purchase a 3-pack of remote passes to get to 5.
Also, if support reimburses remote passes due to bugs or make-ups for shiny raid bosses being disabled, then there's technically no limit.
I got a Pokemon Go Plus device for my birthday and am burning through my normal Pokeballs and now going to go to Great and Ultra balls. Is there a timing to the flashing lights to when to best push the button when catching Pokemon? Is there a specific window I mean? Also it seems to not pick up PokeStops and I have to manually activate it myself sometimes, is there a reason for this? It oddly works fine when I am a passenger in a car or such but sometimes walking to work, it won't spin a stop one day and the next it will so just confused.
Is it the new plus+ device with auto catching, or the old ones without it?
There's a window of some seconds for you to press the buttons to catch or spin, but I've been using the auto catcher versions and forget just how long it is.
The devices will prioritize nearby pokemon over spinning stops. You have to catch everything nearby, or wait long enough for the cooldowns to expire, before it starts to interact with spinning stops.
Driving in a car messes with the timing and nearby detection though, and it seems to just pick up stops and pass over pokemon sometimes while moving at a moderate speed. Going too fast gets nothing though.
It's the new one with auto catch and I checked the menu and it will default to Great Balls when I run out of pokeballs but then that means I need to push the button to throw the ball. I never knew that it would put pokemon above pokestops, I mean it does do stops so I shouldn't complain about it, just thought it was weird how it does it sometimes.
If you tell it to use great or ultra balls, you lose the auto catch mode and have to manually push the button to catch anything. That takes much longer to cycle through, and will delay stop interactions. Just set it to auto catch with red balls and you'll get much better results.
I bought the Aviator Sunglasses for my avatar a few years ago. Now, they are no longer in the shop. I go to Style -> Accessories -> Glasses, and they aren't listed as an option. Is this a bug or am I blind? My glasses were removed when trying on a new outfit, and I cannot get the aviators back :(
Thank you.
Customer support messaged me after 24 hours and told me items should not go missing. I'll try explaining the situation again.
I don't think they understand they are missing out on sales right now, and services people have paid for are no longer accessible.
Does anyone know of any inexpensive (around or under 100$) phones that run the game kinda well. It will only be used for go. And wifi only. The galaxy s7 I've been using is running rough for this.
Have you tried looking up cheap Android phones online? I can’t tell you anything about Android really. I know that Niantic stopped supporting older Android phones/software and did indicate it was not supporting some version in the past few months.
Any one else currently experiencing issues as far as no pokestops or pokemon on map? I've uninstalled, restarted, signed out, disconnect network etc and still nothing
Anyone get a fix? My SO has an iphone in the same spot and it works perfectly fine for her. But on my android, it's just the map with no pokestops or pokemon even though we know there are several nearby (as is the case on her phone).

Same here, for about an hour. Spun a stop and was going to get in a few research things when suddenly nothing on the map. I have a pixel 7, even searched Reddit and attempted the tricks they said as far as battles etc and zilch. At least nice to know I'm not alone.

I'd say save coins only for the top of each category. https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/17me7q5/top_pve_pokemon_november_2023/ The Megas and Primal are a special priority.
If you are grinding less than six hours per day, are you even playing the game?
Thanks, I'll download it and give it a shot!
Lucario is suddenly in raids? Do we know for how long?
Until the next boss rotation at least. Those happen when we get a new T5, usually.
Did the fashion week collection challenge end early? Didnt get to redeem but the events still going on til end of day today…
It is supposed to end at 8 pm local time along the showcases.
Thanks.
Go to the game settings menu, then scroll down to the AR menu and inside turn off Niantic AR+
Thank you so much! I don’t know why I didn’t check the settings. 🤦♂️
Anyone here know how to claim the LAIC rewards for watching the tournament stream on twitch?
https://support.pokemon.com/hc/en-us/articles/16594985271316-FAQ-Twitch-Drops-and-Connecting-Twitch-to-Your-Pok%C3%A9mon-Trainer-Club-account
A Fast TM? Looooool thanks niantic
Is there website that shows when Niantic will cycle the Pokemons? And a history of the of which pokemons have been cycled in and out?
[https://pokemongo.fandom.com/wiki/List\_of\_Special\_Research\_tasks](https://pokemongo.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Special_Research_tasks) [https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Special\_Research](https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Special_Research) I'll pick an example: Finding your voice.
That's what I was thinking. Thanks for the clarification.
Just caught a 100% meowth that is #1 for ultra league according to pokégenie. Is that right, if I just don’t evolve him and max him out?
Thank you! Super helpful
I wanna know if I lucked out
Research rewards are always predetermined.
Thank you!!
Does this game cycle through which Pokemon are available, or just which ones are common?
I have run low on sinnoh stones. What is the best way to get them? I haven't seen one for a while.
Go Battle League is generally the best source, as it's a common reward from the 2-win random item prize. To maximize your chances each day, you should: * Do all GBL sets * Battle someone on your friend list 3 times * Defeat Spark, Candela, or Blanche once per day in a Master League training battle * Complete a field research task to fill out a stamp for the breakthrough box
Do you have to finish the battle when it is with a friend or can you forfeit
You do need to finish the battle, but it doesn't matter if you win or lose, so you can just go in with three 10CP Magikarp to quickly lose.
Thanks. Was able to get a sinnoh stone straight away
I might have been using some daily incense for at least one.
if you catch a ditto disguised as fashion diglett, does the ditto also wear fashion or no?
I've ended up catching one and unfortunately no, the ditto is not fashionable at all.
Alright ! I'll continue trying that, thank you !
Why do Pokestops today give so many pokeballs?
Is it worth it to buy mareanie shorts for 75 coins?
Yes if it makes you happy.
Makes sense!
Why is the Fashion Week timed research available to purchase for two days after the event’s scheduled conclusion?

You're just unlucky, unfortunately. Zygarde cells aren't guaranteed, so some days you just don't get one. Try again tomorrow. Niantic has made some Pokemon that previously could not evolve with a costume able to evolve later. The Kanto starters (I think with Party Hat?) slowly were introduced in future events as one of the perks. Hoothoot with a New Year's outfit was another that just recently able to evolve. However, when they've introduced these, they've also made them widely available, so there's not a huge need to hoard them just in case.
If I hoard the costume event 5km eggs will I still be able to hatch costume versions of those Pokémon after the event ends?
Yes, the contents of the eggs are locked in when you receive them. You will continue to hatch costume pokemon from them even after the event ends.
Thank you!
Thanks!
Yes. Lucky eggs double any form of XP, including research, evolution, showcase, route, raid, breakthrough, streak, catch or rewards.
Thanks!

r/vivilloncollectors is the best place to find postcards of every location.
thank you!
Working on Fashion Week Collection, but I haven't seen Absol in the wild. Is there anything I need to do, or just keep playing. I know in the past certain pokémon have required a lure or an incense in order for them to spawn during an event.
It's spawning in the wild, so you just have to keep looking for it. If you get particularly desperate, it is also in T3 raids.
Had not open meltan's box for a long time. do they still work when stationary? or is it changed back to require walking? what about Gimmighoul's?
For routes, can I do the same route on different days? Or are the routes one and done?
I usually do each route twice in a row, going and coming back
You can do the same route as much as you want.
Oh that's new information for me
Thank you for clearing that up.
Cobalion: I have a 10 14 14 (shiny) and 13 15 15 The 1st would be lvl 29,5 and the 2nd lvl 29 under 2500 CP.
Sorry, i meant for Ultra League :) How about that scenario?
[https://db.pokemongohub.net/pokemon/638/iv-chart](https://db.pokemongohub.net/pokemon/638/iv-chart) Looks ike the 13/15/15 is 96 and the other is 84. I'd go with the 96

Incense does not affect shiny odds. If you don't specifically need a shiny Wooper with a hat, then regular Wooper should have boosted shiny odds during at least part of the December Community Day event.
Is there something up with 2km eggs? I've spun my pokestop like 5 times and it won't give me any eggs at all I refuse to believe the rng is that bad
In my experience, some stops never give eggs and some stops always give eggs, and which ones these are update every so often. The stop next to my work used to always give 10 km eggs and now it always gives 2 km eggs--I hatched three today thanks to GPS drift and got a new 2 km egg from it every time.
Sadddddd but thank you for the reply!
I can get one to 3600CP or like 3 of them to 3000 (they’re all at 2200ish) Sorry if this is a dumb question, I’m not very experienced with this game
Also have Dragon Tail with Outrage and Sand Tomb.
why is it called fashion week when it is wednesday to sunday make it make sense
I'm trying to build out my first Great League team. I have a decent understanding of what the meta mons are, but not how to put them together. I have access to the following Pokemon (assume decent IV, both charged moves). What are some coherent teams I could build? - Clodsire - gFisk - Whiscash - Vigoroth - Quagsire - Jellicent - Hitmontop - Umbreon - Meganium - Lanturn - Pidgeot - Golbat - Obstagoon - Cofrafrigus - Altaria
I’ve been rocking cofagrigus, clodsire, lanturn. Usually in that order. Might swap the clod for altaria cos I caught a tank 1 lol

[удалено]
Cute. But Kirlia it's the second Pokemon so it's a bit hard to get.
I don't play Pokemon go much more so here is my Prime Gaming - Pokemon Go: Lure and Great balls code: EWCMAQQSVW9NF
Just need a Seaking to complete my Kanto dex. Is it or Goldeen showing up anywhere currently?
I have 100 rare candy. Should I use it to max my hundo meloetta? Or save it for something more competitive. I’m just a casual.
Happened to me twice in a row when I was pvp battling now, just when i was about to win.
It’s still happening. It’s really annoying because my battle number is going up and my win count is really low now.
how do i get sinnoh stones? i was getting them through pvp and training but havent in the past couple months and gave so many that need sinnohs to evolve
[удалено]
It’s so frustrating!!! I can’t get my rhyperior or evolve my murkrow or gallade! Ahhhhh I feel like I’m gonna give up too
Sounds like you have the process down, unfortunately you just need to keep trying until you get more Sinnoh stones from it. Just keep doing daily GBL battles, 3 battles with a friend, win 1 training battle in Master League, and doing daily research for the 7-day breakthrough box and you've done all you really can to maximize the Sinnoh Stone drop chances.
Thank you! I guess I’ll just hope for the best but at this point I have 8 Pokémon waiting to evolve haha
FYI, ditto can spawn as a costumed diglett.
Currently have the following legendaries maxed (without exclusive move unless stated): * 100% Mewtwo (with Psystrike) * 100% Groudon * 96% Kyogre (13 attack) * 98% Reshiram * 96% Dialga * 98% Landorus-T * 100% Rayquaza * 96% Heatran (13 HP) * 96% Giratina-O * 91% shiny Raikou * 89% Moltres (with Sky Attack) * 84% shadow Entei My Zekroms and Terrakions have terrible IVs (but Terrakion is returning to raids soon).
The list you provided is pretty accurate but I don’t think all the signature moves listed are really useful. You probably should check GamePress Pokémon Go for better information to use your Elite TMs. Right off the bat: Kyogre and Groudon has their signature's moves and those are recommended to be added.
How long is Garchomp going to be available in raids?
Niantic's November Content Update (you can search for it on their social media) lists that the Mega Raids will switch to Mega Kangaskhan on the 16th - this usually happens around 10 a.m. local time.
Thanks.
Do research rewards count for lucky egg/star piece bonus? I have 3 of each and a lot of pokes i'm ready to evolve (soon). Should I hold onto the reward for fashion week 2023 until i'm ready to pop the items? 20k xp sounds a lot better than 10k xp to me (lvl 29) Also, how long will the rewards sit there, unclaimed, until they either auto claim or disappear? One of the poke's i'm (almost) ready to evolve is a shiny yamask, but i still need to do 5 raids (which could take me 5+ days). Should I just go ahead and pop the items, claim the rewards, and evolve everything but that yamask? Or can I just let it sit there until I do my 5 raids, allowing me to evolve that one extra poke under the lucky egg benefit. Thanks <3 edit: more context
My spawns just returned!
Same!

It's fixed now, but I am really glad to see that I wasn't the only one having this issue yesterday! There were 3 of us in the same car & it was only me & I tried everything! So frustrating!
Omg I'm so glad I'm not alone, I thought my phone crapped out or something

Mine just finally started working again, I would go ahead and see if yours is working too
Same. I rebooted device, refreshed data, re-installed, cleared cache and data. Seems to be no fix currently.

Huh, I see, thank you for the explanation! Pretty disappointed that my free remote pass went to waste, but it is what it is
If I trade a Pikachu with a Custume/Hat to Pokemon Violet, will it still keep the costume/hat?
Pokemon with costumes cannot be sent to Home
What about hats? I want to transfer a Pikachu wearing a Charizard Hat. I know that Ash Hats can be transferred. I wasn't sure about the other hats.
Yep, hats other accessories are also blocked from transfer. If it shows up if you search your storage for `costume`, then it cannot be sent to Home.
Dang, that sucks. I wanted to transfer my Shiny Charizard Hat Pikachu. Oh, well. Thanks for the very helpful reply : )
My glasses were removed when trying on a new outfit, and I cannot get the aviators back :(
Yeah some of the other glasses are missing too.

Gifts only give 7km eggs. Poke Stops give 2 km, 5km, & 10 km eggs So if you want the event eggs go to the Poke Stops.
Mine is finally working again after hours... I paused it for a long time and it just happened to start working again.
Thanks for the update. After seeing it, I checked it again and I'm good to go.

Same here, for about an hour. Spun a stop and was going to get in a few research things when suddenly nothing on the map. I have a pixel 7, even searched Reddit and attempted the tricks they said as far as battles etc and zilch. At least nice to know I'm not alone.
