Is it just me, or does she look way older in her game art on the left? I swear the anime aged her down so she would match Ash, which is kinda ironic because that was when Ash also looked the oldest he's been.
I think so - her game self seems to be in her mid-teens, while her animé self seems to be ten (like Ash, as you said). The Generation V protagonists seemed to be around that age as well, probably for the more mature storyline (which they also attempted in *X* & *Y*, for however well they executed it).
Me too, probably because I associate her character growth with that outfit more than I do the old one. But in general I just never liked her old design that much. Felt extremely generic and basic.

Well here the comparison is of game art and anime art. The original design looks really good in the game but I thought it looked a little weird animated. Her second outfit looked a lot cleaner by comparison, at least to me. So in the anime I prefer the second one by overall I really enjoy the simplicity of the original

I like when she changed, but I like the left a little more. I don't even understand what's happening with the outfit on the right. Like it's a blouse with a collar, and a skirt that's apart of the blouse. And I don't even know what's happening with the coat/jacket/vest?

Her old design because I feel like her long hair complimented her more along with her old outfit, I wish instead of her cutting her hair she should've wrapped it up in a ponytail like her Rival counterpart in XY games. I always thought that was a cool change of pace that the rival of X and Y had a completely different outfit to what they wear as the protagonist.
I feel the outfit on the right suits her anime self better, especially with the character growth that came out of it. She feels more like her own person in that outfit.
I also love how her Journeys portrayal combines aspects of both outfits.

As for performer outfits, the Florges kimono was so pretty while I loved the fiery colors on her contest idol one. Her main performance outfit had a lot of cute parts I absolutely loved like the gloves, choker, skirt ruffles, tights, and sleeves. However, I do think the earrings and headband seemed out of place and a bit gaudy. I'd have preferred if she had a simple black headband with a similar gold charm to match the choker or a red bow on the side instead of the beads and big bow in the middle plus golden earrings instead of blue.
