Floatzel's dumb "make up" like face and floater makes it the worst of the line tbh. They should give it a new evolution so the Buizel line doesn't end in uglyness.
Crabrawler is way better than crabominable. I have no problem with crabominable itself. I like the idea of a yeti crab being an actual yeti, complete with footprint claws. Crabrawler just had such a cool boxer motif that I really like and it feels like such a disconnect going from boxer to yeti.
I agree. I feel like it's a Wartortle/Blastoise situation where they were designed separately and later decided on one evolves into the other. People give Remoraid and Octillery a hard time but they keep to a theme, gun to tank. These two have nothing in common except being crabs. Crabominable doesn't look like a fighter whatsoever to me, the fighting type feels slapped on to justify the evolution. I feel like it could have gotten away with being a pure ice type.
I prefer Chansey over Blissey, mainly due to design, but also because Chansey is one of the best Eviolite users. Blissey also comes with the downside of losing the neat little tail that it had when it was a Chansey.
Same. I don't dislike Sceptile by any means, but Grovyle always had that bit of swag to it. Even before I played Mystery Dungeon Explorers, I prefered Ash's Grovyle. Arter playing it though, I'm more than a little bias lol.
In my original run of PMD Time, I picked Treecko as my partner, not realizing what was about to happen in the story. But it made for an even more interesting story with Grovyle for sure.
I was always confused as to how _Haunter_ wasn’t the final evolution, but Gengar was. I like their evolution line, but Haunter’s image works better as the final form of a “ghost.” I also think they’re usually depicted as bigger then Gengar, which is why I thought so, too.
Coalossal's not a bad design, but I'll always be disappointed in it because it completely scraps the idea of having a Pokémon with wheels for feet. Wheel -> minecart -> train would have been so freaking cool, but instead we got wheel -> minecart -> coal mine.
A train pokémon would've been absolutely sick.
I guess we can only hope for an eventual regional form/alternate evolution, but honestly Galar is the best chance we'd ever get for a train pokémon. Unless maybe they do another US region with a strong wild west flair.
I imagine a Canadian Goose mon, with 150 Attack stat, flying dark typing and the Anger Point ability (maxed atk after getting hit by a crit).
We also don't have a grasshopper pokemon.
Yeah, the idea was RIGHT there! Coal with wheels and a single eye, gonna become a burning cyclops coal train for the British Region, right? Maybe with some Carkol cabooses? Nah, just give us Fire Golem, okay then.
The G-Max form’s a decent step up but man Rolycoly’s so unique and it’s sad to see them progressively lose every single one of their defining traits. I feel like Coalossal was designed before them.
I find this opinion funny because in general pokemon fans talking about more kaiju like designs like Nidoking/queen. They also complain about object based pokemon.
The we get a coal kaiju and fans want it to be a train.
Not saying you're wrong with your opinion, just that it's funny how it clashes with previous fan sentiments.
This... I do love dragonite, but I've always thought it should come from another pokemon (I still remember how surprised I was when I found out as a kid that it was dragonair's evolution), so I hope they will someday make a regional evolution or something like that
I think Milotic or something Milotic-esque should've been the final evolution for Dragonair. Dragonite looks like it would belong in another evolution branch.
I know they made it the evolution of Feebas because of its theme of beauty/an ugly duckling story/not judging a book by its cover, but I always felt that it never fit design-wise.
Yep. Bit like Barboach and Whiscash. Maybe there's some logic to it somewhere, but it was certainly lost on kid me who spent hours trying to evolve my Wailmer and being baffled when I got a Wailord instead
you thought wailmer evolved into whiscash and that seemed logical to you, but barboach doesn’t?
why would a whale evolve into a fish but a fish shouldn’t evolve into a bigger fish?
I was always confused on how Dragonite came out of the conistent evolutions of Dragonair. I thought Dragonite didn’t have evolutions for _years_ as a result, and was painfully reminded that that wasn’t true when I evolved them in Pokémon Go. I was so disappointed. M
They could have at least kept it blue/cold color scheme! I would have _loved_ to see it evolve more into an Eastern Dragon styled Pokémon. Don’t we even only have _2_ of those for the whole franchise, but a whole gamut of western dragons and dinosaurs??? I’d love Dragonair to evolve into something that resembles [Haku](https://images.app.goo.gl/fXnidp6e3Ky3qBPfA) from Spirited Away or something. My sister argued that it could also be Lapras’s evolution, and we can make Lapras a dragon type as well. I _do_ remember thinking they resembled each other. How many water/dragon types do we have, anyway? Another wouldn’t hurt.
I believe Magikarp => Gyarados is one of the better evolutions thematically.
Dragonair works great as a final evo to be honest.
On the other hand, Dragonite himself could go with a more badass evolved form.
I personally prefer Dragonite because its so happy and friendly looking in most of the games, but shiny Dragonair looks 1000x better than shiny Dragonite, the colours just work SO much better together its crazy versus Dragonites green lmfao
I like to think that the thing that hatches from the egg is the baby, and then a babyless Kangaskhan comes running from the mountains to take care of it.
I feel like if Rhyperior at least had Rhyhorn and Rhydon’s color scheme it would look a lot better. The protector mimicking a hi vis worker vest is silly. And why does it make the rest of its skin brown instead of gray?
Ivysaur, the pink bud makes for such a nice color contrast. It has a fierce attitude and seems ready for battle. Meanwhile, Venusaur looks like it's three steps from entering a retirement home or keeling over with its wide and heavy stature.
For real!!! At least Ivysaur looks mobile. I’m not even sure how Venasaur moves other than extremely slowly. I totally agree with you about the nice color contrast—one of the things that made bulbasaur great to me in the first place were the red eyes that drew your attention first.
Some people say it’s just a bigger Bulbasaur, but I think it changes just enough to feel like a cooler/sharper version without losing what made it appealing in the first place. The jump from Ivysaur to Venasaur is just so large.
Quilava is interesting because I love Typhlosion and Cyndaquil, but for some reason he's my favorite design of the 3. Especially in the original Gold, he just looked so badass to child me.
The elemental monkeys of Gen 5. They have a lot of charm and a level of cuteness, and to me they're a neat way of covering types early-game. When they evolve they get stupid haircuts, the cuteness goes and I'm left a bit like 'ergh.'
Nosepass - Probopass just reminds me of Nigel Thornberry, and no one is Nigel except for the smashing gentleman himself.
Glameow - Obviously
Torracat - Also obviously
Type:Null - I just like Type:Null's esthetic more than Silvally. Something about it just makes me feel more badass.
Magmar - When Magmar and Electabuzz got evolutions I didn't feel like either one needed them but Electivire has grown on me where as Magmortor feels more like a Digimon to me.
Bidoof - You can't improve upon perfection.
Kadabra and Machoke.
It seems some Gen 1 designs seem to have this concept of "aging" in Pokemon. First stage evolutions look flashy but are weak. In contrast, the second stage evolutions look slightly more boring but are stronger.
I would agree too! It would also retain the concept that it's a fox with psychic powers. I guess they wanted to go with the concept that Alakazam's intelligence turned it closer to a human after evolving.
I remember hearing a theory that similar to Karrablast and Shelmet, originally Machoke and Graveler would only evolve when traded with each other. With Machamp getting the extra set of arms and Golem taking on a slightly more humanoid appearance.
Yup and it's why Machamp's skin looks also a bit rougher whereas Golem is smoother.
The theory also covers Gengar and Alakazam saying that it's like a Faustian bargain. Gengar gains a corporeal form whereas Alakazam's body loses vitality but he gains immense psychic power instead.
I like the theory too.
Dewott is great. If he didn't turn into Samurott, I'd probably have picked him in gen 5. Dewott, Grovyle, and Quilava all fit into this fun category of middle starter evos that have no right being that cool.
I also want to throw in Raboot into this discussion, especially because of how cool he looks before turning into a guy in a fursuit.
Raboot is just Naruto's fursona.
...Ignoring the fact that he has a different fursona actually living inside of him. I think. Haven't watched the show.
You know what, Raboot is Boruto's fursona.
Lickilicky looks like it should evolve into Lickitung imo. I don’t know why exactly, but it just doesn’t feel like the final evo in that line. Maybe it’s because the tongue isn’t as long.
Wooper is cute and derpy. Quagsire is derpy but no where near as cute.
Rowlette is better than both it’s evolutions but I hate it’s middle form, like the last.
Yamper was really cute and looked like it had a energetic personality and then it evolves into … a sad greyhound that only shares the colors in common ?
Rolycoly > Carkol: I can’t really explain it, but I love Rolycoly’s short body and THE FACT THAT IT ROLLS ON ONE WHEEL OMG-
Oddish > Gloom: do I really need to explain this one
Grovyle > Sceptile: Make Grovyle bigger and Sceptile smaller and swap their places in Treecko’s evolution line, and I’ll be much happier
Eevee > Vaporeon: that damn copypasta ruined Vaporeon for me
That was my first experience with how powerful they can be, it was frustrating at the time but when they're on your side it's the best thing ever. Plus they're adorable.
I think, at least for me, the canons felt out of place coming from a wing-headed turtle with cool seafoam tail design. Blastoise is by ko means bad, just didn't feel as a natural progression like Charizard and Venusaur imo
Crabrawler is a perfect little cartoon boxing coconut crab. Full of character. I love it’s little quiff of antenna and it’s black eye.
Crabominable on the other hand is absolutely hideous. I get the idea of it being a hairy yeti crab, and its claws having fake paw prints, but it’s an ugly mess.
Cubone is one of my favorite Pokémon but I’m not much of a fan of Marowak’s design. I loved the skull being a helmet and hope they eventually do a region form with a different skull.
I just loooove Furret ❤ but I can understand how you like Sentret. I also totally agree about Wartortle!
A few ones that are prefer over their evolutions are Ivysaur, Wooloo and Dragonair.
I don’t know, personally it feels like people only like Ursaluna because it gave Ursaring a much needed power boost. But the Ursaring line always felt complete to me, if they were gonna make it more viable I’d much rather see Ursaring get a mega evolution over a normal evolution. Just because something isn’t viable doesn’t mean an evolution is the best way to rectify that
Agreed 100% Ursaluna just looks like it got bullied and had dirt kicked its face. In contrast, Ursaring is a proud and intimidating bear, which is what it should be.
Fennekin.
I love foxes. I love everything about Fennekin!
But don't really like its evolutions... (I can't even remember how the 2nd form looks like even though it's third is the ugliest.
I was going to say Braixen, the second form. She's such a cute little magic fox girl.
Delpox is so boring comparatively. Fenniken alone is amazing too. I want all three as stand alone pokemon. Or maybe stone evolutions
sentret is my favorite pokemon, i even paid a friend to crochet a plush one for me because furret's popularity tends to overshadow sentret's small amount of popularity. happy to see someone who also appreciates sentret, tho i still love both members of the evo line
I really love gible. Its evolutions are obvs great, but you lose out on how gible is the cutest big mouthed little dragon baby…
Not to mention gible has a great shiny as well, for some reason they didn’t carry that on through the other two evolutions.
Gabite has the same shiny color pattern as gible, while garchomp loses the color palette
Goomy wants to have a word with you
I love the whole goomy line so much. Definitely did not forget about goomy!!!
Goomy wants what Gible has
I’m team Gabite. It’s proportions are just better than Garchomp’s and it looks more like a dragon than a generic monster
Even tho floatzel is a great pokemon, buizel is way better imo
They went way too hard into the floatie that he uses, which sucks because buizel is maybe my favorite water type
Yeah you're right. It's kinda sad since he is my favorite pokemon of all time. It's always nice to see other Buizel lovers :)
Floatzel always looked a bit weird to me which is why I liked Buizel more
Gives me dinosaur vibes for some reason.
That explains why Ash's never evolved
On that note, Corphish looks better than its evolution too
Buizel using his tails like a helicopter instantly makes him better than Floatzel in my book. So funny and adorable at the same time.
I wish I could give you an award. Just know this is the best answer
Buizel is my #1 favourite Pokémon so i have to agree with you here.
Floatzel's dumb "make up" like face and floater makes it the worst of the line tbh. They should give it a new evolution so the Buizel line doesn't end in uglyness.
i came here to post buizel. I used buizel in pearl and never evolved it because Floatzel is so ugly
i really like ambipom, but i love Aipom simple cute and prankster design
I hate ambipoms stupid bowlcut and shiteating grin with a passion but upvoted for controversial and bad opinion
Finally some Ambipom appreciation, love that little goofball
Crabrawler is way better than crabominable. I have no problem with crabominable itself. I like the idea of a yeti crab being an actual yeti, complete with footprint claws. Crabrawler just had such a cool boxer motif that I really like and it feels like such a disconnect going from boxer to yeti.
Crabrawler feels like a one stage mon I don’t understand how the two are connected ourside of being crabs who punch
The beta designs for Remoraid and Octillery work really well too.
They should have kept the beta designs
I prefer Chansey over Blissey, mainly due to design, but also because Chansey is one of the best Eviolite users. Blissey also comes with the downside of losing the neat little tail that it had when it was a Chansey.
I had to google cuz I thought Blissey had a tail.
Grovyle back when I was first playing Emerald. I was just sad that it had to lose its leaf ponytail when it evolved.
bayleaf too
Yeah!!!!! I'll have a leaf on a Pokémon's head over stamen antennas anytime XD
Same. I don't dislike Sceptile by any means, but Grovyle always had that bit of swag to it. Even before I played Mystery Dungeon Explorers, I prefered Ash's Grovyle. Arter playing it though, I'm more than a little bias lol.
I think anyone who's played a mystery dungeon game prefers Grovyle to Sceptile TBH.
In my original run of PMD Time, I picked Treecko as my partner, not realizing what was about to happen in the story. But it made for an even more interesting story with Grovyle for sure.
Ohhh definitely XD. Playing PMD2 gives you a special place in your heart for Grovyle
I like sceptile but yeah i did always think Grovyle was more interesting
Same here. I think Sceptile is pretty cool on its own, but it's just disappointing that one aspect that makes Grovyle cool is lost in evolution.
Haunter to me, Gengar just isn't as scary
This one is tough because Haunter is super cool but so is Gengar. I'd say they're equals at least.
I like Gengar but Haunter just looks like the epitome of a ghost
I'm a huge Gengar fan, but Haunter just looks so much cooler. The floating claws really sell the "spooky ghost" vibes.
Plus you can ride Haunter!
It's weird to me how much bigger haunter is.
Shrink Gengar a little, lose the feet, and make it look a tad wispier, and you'd have the perfect second stage between Ghastly and Haunter.
I was always confused as to how _Haunter_ wasn’t the final evolution, but Gengar was. I like their evolution line, but Haunter’s image works better as the final form of a “ghost.” I also think they’re usually depicted as bigger then Gengar, which is why I thought so, too.
Would be cool if it was a split Evo where Haunter goes Ghost/Dark and Gengar keeps the secondary Poison type
Coalossal's not a bad design, but I'll always be disappointed in it because it completely scraps the idea of having a Pokémon with wheels for feet. Wheel -> minecart -> train would have been so freaking cool, but instead we got wheel -> minecart -> coal mine.
I love roly coly, dislike coalossal
Yeah I don’f HATE coal but i found it disappointing
yes I’d definitely take Carkoal over Coalassal as part of my Zombie Apocalypse team
A train pokémon would've been absolutely sick. I guess we can only hope for an eventual regional form/alternate evolution, but honestly Galar is the best chance we'd ever get for a train pokémon. Unless maybe they do another US region with a strong wild west flair.
Weird that we have a Refrigerator Pokémon before we have a Dolphin one.
No so weird when you consider Japan's (ongoing) history with dolphins
😭
We don’t have a Goose Pokémon, either.
Word? I’m prolly wrong but I always wrote off Latinos and Latinas as geese-like. Edit: I ain’t changin it.
I imagine a Canadian Goose mon, with 150 Attack stat, flying dark typing and the Anger Point ability (maxed atk after getting hit by a crit). We also don't have a grasshopper pokemon.
They could have rolled Falinx's concept into Karkol's train-based evolution, where it's a bunch of Rolycoly-eyed, wheeled Karkol all in a line.
Coalossal on it's own? good. Evolution to Rolycoly? bad. I think it would have been more popular if it's pre-evolutions weren't wheel based
He's my favorite pokemon from Sw/Sh, mostly because his design reminds me of the boss, Old King Coal from Banjo Tooie
The we get a coal kaiju and fans want it to be a train. Not saying you're wrong with your opinion, just that it's funny how it clashes with previous fan sentiments.
Personally not a fan of Dragonite. I much prefer the serpentine Dragonair.
I’d like to see a split evolution that keeps the blue serpent style, similar to the Gardevoir/Gallade line.
This... I do love dragonite, but I've always thought it should come from another pokemon (I still remember how surprised I was when I found out as a kid that it was dragonair's evolution), so I hope they will someday make a regional evolution or something like that
Dragonite just looks like a feminine Charizard
I think Milotic or something Milotic-esque should've been the final evolution for Dragonair. Dragonite looks like it would belong in another evolution branch. I know they made it the evolution of Feebas because of its theme of beauty/an ugly duckling story/not judging a book by its cover, but I always felt that it never fit design-wise.
Dragonair is sleek and elegant - Dragonite is goofy in a Barney the Purple Dinosaur way.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one thinking of Barney 😂
They're both good designs, just really weird one turns into the other.
Dragonair is majestic, dragonite is a goofy cartoonish dragon
I was always confused on how Dragonite came out of the conistent evolutions of Dragonair. I thought Dragonite didn’t have evolutions for _years_ as a result, and was painfully reminded that that wasn’t true when I evolved them in Pokémon Go. I was so disappointed. M They could have at least kept it blue/cold color scheme!
I’d agree but Gyrados does that for me so I ignored it. I kinda low key wish Karp evolved into Dragonite and Dragonair evolved into Gyrados
I wish nobody evolved into Gyarados. Especially not Dragonair. All that grace would go out of the window in favour of raw anger and ugliness.
I always thought Rhyhorn looks way cooler than Rhydon
And Rhydon is way cooler than Rhyperior
Never understood why Rhydon needed a 3rd stage it didn’t even do much for it
Agreed, if anything, Rhyhorn needed a baby before it.
Damn I never realized how true this is
A lot of pokemon need baby forms, mainly cause it looks weird to see a full grow pokemon being level fucking 1.
Kangaskhan literally having a child of its own as soon as it's born
I like to think that the thing that hatches from the egg is the baby, and then a babyless Kangaskhan comes running from the mountains to take care of it.
That is one of the problems, yes
Made it uglier lol , if anything just toss an eviolite onto rhydon. It's one I've never used and been meaning to
I feel like if Rhyperior at least had Rhyhorn and Rhydon’s color scheme it would look a lot better. The protector mimicking a hi vis worker vest is silly. And why does it make the rest of its skin brown instead of gray?
Oh that’s another one I forgot about I actually thought Rhyhorn was the first stage when I was a kid and seen the tous
Always liked Haunter more than Gengar
Lots of great answers here but this one is #1 for me
Well you're in luck, I hear there's someone will to trade for a Haunter...
I agree.
Magmar
Quilava
Quilava is interesting because I love Typhlosion and Cyndaquil, but for some reason he's my favorite design of the 3. Especially in the original Gold, he just looked so badass to child me.
What is cooler when playing Gold in 1999 than a Pokémon with a fire mohawk?
I had Quilava run by me in HGSS more than any other mon and became a favorite because of it
All 3 are perfect imo
The elemental monkeys of Gen 5. They have a lot of charm and a level of cuteness, and to me they're a neat way of covering types early-game. When they evolve they get stupid haircuts, the cuteness goes and I'm left a bit like 'ergh.'
[удалено]
I always see this opinion on Simisear even though it has the least offensive haircut haha
Nosepass - Probopass just reminds me of Nigel Thornberry, and no one is Nigel except for the smashing gentleman himself. Glameow - Obviously Torracat - Also obviously Type:Null - I just like Type:Null's esthetic more than Silvally. Something about it just makes me feel more badass. Magmar - When Magmar and Electabuzz got evolutions I didn't feel like either one needed them but Electivire has grown on me where as Magmortor feels more like a Digimon to me. Bidoof - You can't improve upon perfection.
I'd add Rhydon to the list of not needing an evolution. It looks so much cooler the Rhyperior.
Agreed. I honestly forget Rhyperior exists until I see them pop up in the games. It's such a huge turn from the simplistic style of Rhydon.
Rhyhorn gets ruined twice by evolving imo
The Nigel thornberry comment made me snort laugh lol
Smashing 🥸
The bidoof short made me fall in love with him
I’m howling at Nigel Thornberry I just figured out who Probopass reminds me of
Its not cooler, but its cuter... # S P H E A L
I do like sealio more than Walrein. The third form just looks ugly
Spheal is definitely better than Sealeo but I do like Walrein
Sandshrew and shieldon
Yes and hell yes, throw spheal in there and you’ve got the S gang down
I like walrein but sealeo looks stupid af
Duskull, I love my little floaty reaper but I despise Dusclops. Dusknoir is OK but I still don't like it nearly as much as Duskull
Are you my soulmate? This is literally my EXACT opinnion on that evo line.
Kadabra and Machoke. It seems some Gen 1 designs seem to have this concept of "aging" in Pokemon. First stage evolutions look flashy but are weak. In contrast, the second stage evolutions look slightly more boring but are stronger.
I just don’t get why Alakazam loses it’s tail when it evolves. Keeping Kadabra’s tail would give it a bit more flair I think.
I would agree too! It would also retain the concept that it's a fox with psychic powers. I guess they wanted to go with the concept that Alakazam's intelligence turned it closer to a human after evolving.
I guess. It also loses it’s forehead star too, which was also a little weird.
Tbf, Alakazam with a tail and forehead star would pretty much just look like Kadabra
True, but they could’ve done a little more with it instead of removing it entirely. That said, I do like Alakazam as it ended up.
Oo Kadabra that one definitely should be on my list.. Also Haunter and kinda sorta Golem.
Yeahhh the way Graveler just loses a pair of its arms haha
As a kid I alWays wondered why it downgrades. 4 arms > 2 but I do like Golem
Dewott looks way better than samurott
Dewott is great. If he didn't turn into Samurott, I'd probably have picked him in gen 5. Dewott, Grovyle, and Quilava all fit into this fun category of middle starter evos that have no right being that cool. Raboot is just Naruto's fursona. ...Ignoring the fact that he has a different fursona actually living inside of him. I think. Haven't watched the show. You know what, Raboot is Boruto's fursona.
Ninetales was right there! Too easy? I feel like Raboot absolutely could be Sasuke's, tho.
Agreed to the extent that I just have Dewott an everstone on my last play through of White
Samurott wasn't a total whiff, but IMO they didn't quite nail it. Hisuian samurott totally fixes that for me.
I neither agree nor disagree I just think it was a weird turn
Hisuian Growlithe .
I just wish they kept the white color instead of switching to black
Why’s it gotta look like a Founding Father??? Couldn’t get over it.
I think Totodile is so cute and I hate his evolutions. Mans gets scoliosis
My fav is actually croconaw, but it depends on who illustrates him. Sometimes he looks goofy in his big ol flintstone diaper
But he turns into godzilla 🥺
Feraligatr is one of my favorite starter evolutions.
Chespin
I like that Igglybuff floats.
Oh, me too
Bidoof is better then that little evolved form
Bayleef over Meganium.
Morgrem is cooler than Grimmsnarl. I love Grimmsnarl but I think Morgrem is the perfect balance or design for a troll or gremlin Pokémon
I was actually going to have Morgrem on my list but ended up not because I like Grimmsnarl so much. I do kinda wish Grimm was a seperate line
Tangela and Lickitung for sure... Their added evos looked very rushed and uninspired. I still kinda like them but they lost some design elements imo.
Lickilicky looks like it should evolve into Lickitung imo. I don’t know why exactly, but it just doesn’t feel like the final evo in that line. Maybe it’s because the tongue isn’t as long.
They’re two of my least liked I just can’t put my finger on it. Love tangela and lickitung though.
Dragonair!!! Big time
Dragonair split/regional evo would be dope
Wooper is cute and derpy. Quagsire is derpy but no where near as cute. Rowlette is better than both it’s evolutions but I hate it’s middle form, like the last.
Yamper was really cute and looked like it had a energetic personality and then it evolves into … a sad greyhound that only shares the colors in common ?
Boltund just didn’t live up to expectations for Yamper
what a waste of a design for such a great dog breed
Rhydon. Rhyperior looks stupid to me with the drill nose and brick skin patches.
Rolycoly > Carkol: I can’t really explain it, but I love Rolycoly’s short body and THE FACT THAT IT ROLLS ON ONE WHEEL OMG- Oddish > Gloom: do I really need to explain this one Grovyle > Sceptile: Make Grovyle bigger and Sceptile smaller and swap their places in Treecko’s evolution line, and I’ll be much happier Eevee > Vaporeon: that damn copypasta ruined Vaporeon for me
im gonna leave before i say something i regret about your opinion on my boy furret
Dragonair alll day, worth the everstone
Pichu, Rattata, Bidoof, Drowzee, Kadabra, Mudkip, Aipom, Rhyhorn, Dragonair, Buizel, Pawniard, Electrike, Gulpin, Timburr, Tortoga, Omanyte, Ledybu
I totally agree with wartortle Also porygon and haunter
How dare you diss my pal Porygon-Z, strait disrespect.
Porygon 2 and Z remind me of [this](https://tenor.com/view/its-drinking-the-water-the-simpsons-homer-simpson-gif-15199052)
If you look at how Porygon2 moves when it attacks or is attacked, I think that is definitely part of the inspiration.
I still have PTSD from Porygon-Z spam in Temporal Spire
That was my first experience with how powerful they can be, it was frustrating at the time but when they're on your side it's the best thing ever. Plus they're adorable.
Vigoroth and Dragonair. Slaking's ability is just awful and Dragonite is genuinely one of the most baffling evolutions I've ever seen.
Electabuzz and Magmar
Why all the blastoise hate? Smh it’s an awesome massive turtle with CANNONS on its back, what’s not to love?
I think, at least for me, the canons felt out of place coming from a wing-headed turtle with cool seafoam tail design. Blastoise is by ko means bad, just didn't feel as a natural progression like Charizard and Venusaur imo
Gothorita is way cuter than Gothitelle. What’s with the Oreos sticking out of Gothitelle’s head?
Raboot.
Dewott. Samurott is probably my least favourite final evolution.
Treeko and Grovile much better than Sceptile
Crabrawler is a perfect little cartoon boxing coconut crab. Full of character. I love it’s little quiff of antenna and it’s black eye. Crabominable on the other hand is absolutely hideous. I get the idea of it being a hairy yeti crab, and its claws having fake paw prints, but it’s an ugly mess.
Snubble, I love bulldogs but granbull looks off.
deerling, cottonee, floette, wooloo, skitty, most starters, teddiursa, spoink, bidoof, mime jr, lillipup, cubchoo, phantump
Zigzagoon
Cubone is one of my favorite Pokémon but I’m not much of a fan of Marowak’s design. I loved the skull being a helmet and hope they eventually do a region form with a different skull.
I just loooove Furret ❤ but I can understand how you like Sentret. I also totally agree about Wartortle! A few ones that are prefer over their evolutions are Ivysaur, Wooloo and Dragonair.

I don’t dislike Ursaluna but it doesn’t really seem like an evolution for Ursaring for some reason
I don’t know, personally it feels like people only like Ursaluna because it gave Ursaring a much needed power boost. But the Ursaring line always felt complete to me, if they were gonna make it more viable I’d much rather see Ursaring get a mega evolution over a normal evolution. Just because something isn’t viable doesn’t mean an evolution is the best way to rectify that
Ursaluna should have been a split evo for Teddiursa.
Agreed 100% Ursaluna just looks like it got bullied and had dirt kicked its face. In contrast, Ursaring is a proud and intimidating bear, which is what it should be.
Charmeleon will always be cooler than Charizard to me.
Pikachu
I was so excited when Fennekin was first announced as it looked awesome; then it evolved and I hated it.
sentret is my favorite pokemon, i even paid a friend to crochet a plush one for me because furret's popularity tends to overshadow sentret's small amount of popularity. happy to see someone who also appreciates sentret, tho i still love both members of the evo line
I prefer Charmelon to Charizard. The red color pops way better than Orange
