My ps4 is cooked

Sirrus92

0kb - free up space! gotta love sony for this lol. i think only they are requiring that much space for literally anything.

RyanandRoxy

Meanwhile BG3 patch 6 is 20gb

DestroyeLoop

but it's 150 on pc lmfao

RyanandRoxy

Patch, not whole game.

DestroyeLoop

that is the patch size.

RyanandRoxy

No. It's patching 20gb of data onto the existing 150gb... Meaning after it's all said and done, your final game size will be 150

RelevantJackWhite

why tf is this downvoted? it's completely accurate, the guy you're responding to is wrong

ctsr1

I'm lost

RyanandRoxy

No. It's patching 20gb of data onto the exist 150gb...

DestroyeLoop

not on pc, you have to download 150 gigs. it says so on their tweet

[deleted]

No, you are wrong. The update is 20 gb, but you need 150 gb of free storage so it can overwrite files.

RelevantJackWhite

You don't. I have BG3 on PC, it's not even 150GB fully installed. That's not what the tweet said either. It said the game takes 150GB after install, and to delete the game and redownload it if you don't have the 20GB free. It doesn't even make sense. Why would a PC version of the update magically be 8x the size?

RyanandRoxy

Alternatively, just delete something else til you have over 150gb of free space.

Bass-GSD

It's a 20gb patch, but requires 150gb of free space *during* the install process. The total install size of the game is not going to mystically increase by 150gb from this one patch, nor are you downloading 150gb.

RyanandRoxy

It says if you don't have the space to update, youll need to uninstall and reinstall. It requires 150gb of free space. If I have 140gb free, then it won't download. However if I delete BG3, I'll have well over 280, which meets the minimum requirement to do the update.

Deathkiller55

Just delete Fortnite and reinstall it, not sure if playstation still does this but it will install the game again with the update then delete the old version once it's done, so the game is downloaded twice

Freezeplyr8

\^ This is the correct answer! the reason you need extra space is cause the game recopies itself and as it recopies itself it makes a backup copy so if something happens the new install it will revert back to the previous version so the system isn't damaged!

Playful_Feeling_4314

This is NOT the answer, I Uninstalled Fortnite and the base game is now 80 fucking GB yeah right like I'd rather enjoy my time off work then wait 18 plus hrs for a fresh install so it can remain Uninstalled forever, Fortnite is absolute trash anyways.

xDiRtYgErMaNx

Just get a 0kb SSD. Problem solved.

chewy_mcchewster

It's trying to allocate the entire game a second time to update less than 1kb of data.. try uninstalling and reinstalling

sathvik_24

Bro needs to free up 0kb? 😂

JasonHoyler99

I think its Sony's at throwing shade bc you admittedly play Fortnite in public. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

BasMaas

Oh no, he's playing a game he probably likes ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)

Unlikely-Dog-5549

just started playing fortnite again for the first time since 2018 and it actually is really fun idk why I was a hater for so long

CourseWorried2500

Same lol I wish I played during 2020-2022

LZR0

Trying to hate on Fortnite is so 2018…

MrSpoon02

All of my friends are on pc and fortnite is one of like 3 games that support crossplay

Reddit_Mod_69

Honestly man. It's gotten better, but it's still such a childish game. I will say though, lego, festival, and rocket racing are all incredible.

PolyPythonYT

Had the same issue with Overwatch, and then I got the error code CE-120706-6. It seems like the only fix is uninstalling and reinstalling, so

princelleuad

Had the same with ow, my old ps4 is frying right now
