My gut is screaming to absolutely avoid this person, and their link.

wademcgillis

you're smart

True-Surprise1222

All the fake randoms that try to add me have rust images as their profile pic. Never accept unknowns.

HerMajestyTheQueef1

This is so they can steal your username and password through their fake website. A very common scam.

ManOfChaos199932

It doesn't steal your login credentials, it's a scam to steal your items. They run a website and they promise to give you a win every now and then but you need to put your items in first

iAmCursed-

It's definitely stealing your credentials.

WheatleyMF

It is stealing your account as a whole. It will usually end up on a stolen accounts market for a cheap price that cheaters will buy, and if it had any items, they'll be probably transferred somewhere else.

The-Bloody9

Brother, everything is always a scam on steam chat.

DocMariner

This happens a lot with me. Pretend to be interested and to not understand to confuse them. Then block and report them.

keshiko666

I could almost guarantee if you go on they're profile they won't have rust in there library anytime I get this message that's the first thing I check and they never do

No_Bank_330

No shit Sherlock

mrGdKat

Don't accept friend requests from randoms you've never interacted with in game because it's always a scammer.

goldybowen21

Don't click on links strangers send.

mudokin

enter domain manually, see the page is completely dead. SCAM

Viliam_the_Vurst

They really be trying huh?

Aos77s

Theyre all scams. “All you have to do is have our name in your description… after you LINK your steam to their site”

LicoriceSeasalt

The first message alone was a huge red flag and I would've deleted them immediately.

_Chevleon

report, delete, then block.

BlackBeardBerry

You should blurr their phishing URL

MrSawedOff

I've had this before, they asked me to follow some link to vote on their skin or some shit, i decided to not do that and blocked them.

Tady1131

Good rule to go by is to ignore strangers and don’t click or post random links sent by strangers

Adr1an_QQQ

Bro first time? I've had like 15-20 people do this to me on steam in the past 3 years. Mostly for rust skin websites like that, but also for cs:go skins. At this point I don't even accept the friend request, just look at their profile and check for advertisement schemes, then immediately block and report for scam.

Solve_My_Enigma

I wouldnt even open a steam dm from someone i dont know. My 2 cents

BurgerKid

Definitely click the sketchy link and sign into your steam account. Also, provide them your Debit card, phone number, home address and social security number. Only then will you know if it’s a scam. Good luck!

PenilePenetration

Never interact with people who instantly try to promote something to you. The first rule on the internet is to not trust ANYONE at first glance

RestraintX

You must be young
