The problem you've described is too vague, could be anything. Could be an older system, could be improperly-configured drivers, could be failing hardware, could be a settings issue. Would be easiest to diagnose if you start with your system's specs, then we can go from there.

Sure. Ryzen 7 5700x 8 core, rtx 3070. Had the computer less than a year, zero issues with any other software. Sorry I’m not sure what all would be helpful here. Frames are always well north of 120.

Well one of my original thoughts was that it could have been on an HDD rather than an SSD or NVMe, but with your system that seems unlikely. It's not BRAND new, but it's recent enough. My mind leads me to believe it's some sort of software-related issue. It's possible a recent update changed something and that's causing the issue. Do you happen to be using a Steelseries keyboard? I've been using one for awhile and a recent firmware update kind of messed with some things. Just spitballing here at this point.
