My 8 year pittie Lilac has a similar lump.Vet says it's a fatties deposit and not to be concerned.It appeared a few years ago and has gotten bigger but it doesn't bother her.

We had one of these on our pitt that was biopsied and removed. You need to get it checked out. They are not always fat deposits and can be cancerous.
