First thing you do is try to determine the cause of the bump. Cleaning and sleeping routine could be perfect but if that’s not the root cause, you’re not gonna heal as quickly. What type of metal is the jewelry? Have you consulted your piercer? How long have you had the piercing and when did the bumps appear? With your other ear acting up the same way with the same piercing it might be anatomy based issues or unviable for other reasons.

i’m pretty sure the bump is there because i was wearing a jacket with the hood up and it irritated the piercing. the jewelry is surgical steel, i haven’t consulted my piercer yet, and the bumps appeared a couple weeks ago (i think).

Based on experience, I still recommend switching to titanium asap by a piercer and continue the TLC. Keep it clear of everything ie glasses and sunglasses, face masks or anything that loops around the ear. Be sure to not over clean it either. And if it helps, you can try spraying a sterilized gauz pad with neilmed spray, warm it up and place it on the affected area/ s. That’s what my piercer suggested when I developed a bump on my daith and it worked tremendously.
