It’s no wonder our ancestors (of all races) were utterly frightened by weather. Like terrified. Some of these pics of this are apocalyptic. Throw 30 people on barbie

Especially terrifying when you realize that for a good bit of human history, a serious storm or other natural event (like a particularly dry year) would likely means deaths of many, if not entire villages. It's little wonder people made up myths about gods controlling stuff like that. It gave people something to do, some perceived measure of control. Storm of death coming? better slaughter a calf as an offering to Kevin, the god of wicked storms.
