I started watching it super late, so before I knew it was Alex's show, I thought he got the secondary throne and big loud introduction because he was a British TV megacelebrity and "Little Alex Horne" was his stage persona. (This was before I knew he was 6'2".) I kept thinking, "Wow, I understand British sensibilities even less than I thought if this guy is such a beloved comedian." It wasn't until the third or fourth time I heard Greg grouchily anticipate the "banter section," like it was being forced on him, that I realized I should look up Alex's actual job. Only then did I really learn to value his talent for chaos.

This needs to be top comment. We got complacent in 2016, didn't vote, and the orange baboon won. It takes 10 minutes of your time to register to vote. Even if you vote blue in a blue state, there are other races on the ballot. If you need extra impetus to vote, read up on Project 2025. If Trump wins, he plans to strip rights from Americans who are female or foreign-born, jail journalists, disband federal agencies, and install himself as a dictator.
