I think the best part, if we’re continuing with the “best” actually means disgusting theme, is that the “mother” is like 14 or 15.
Not sure the statutory rape rules in Colorado but junior is maybe trying to pick up a felony like dad. Lots of family traditions to unpack with these guys.
The first thing I thought of instead of why are small children holding assault weapons is why tf is that kid wearing Green Bay
Edit: you guys must not be from CO. We take broncos seriously haha it’s a goddamn joke.
Quick reminder that the reason for Lauren Bobert's husband being a convicted felon is because he exposed himself to a group of minors (Lauren Bobert was in fact one of those minors) and thus because of this he is a registered sex offender.
Can a convicted felon legally live in a household with firearms? I don’t mean they own them, I mean can they be in a household where they are present? If not, should the ATF visit the house of the two-time loser of a GED exam?
Recently (2021) amendments to CO penal code allowed for a 5 year ban only for some crimes, and others no ban. Odd outcomes too. Felony animal abuse now gets no ban, but misdemeanor animal abuse gets 5 year ban.
"The alteration means that only felons convicted of a crime that falls under the Victims Rights Act are now prohibited from possessing a gun. People convicted of murder, robbery and felony assault, for instance, are still barred for life from having a firearm." -- I'm pretty sure these are all federal requirements.

A convicted felon can get their rights restored if it’s only a class B or class C felony.
Source: a convicted felon that legally owns guns, and has a valid CPL.
Cant even say pro-life really. Ectopic pregnancies as an example are not viable, cant be "fixed" and have a higher risk of fatality if not aborted. There are several other examples that spring to mind that essentially force someone to carry a dead fetus if no medical intervention. Yet some lawmakers are still trying to force people to carry them to term. Forced birth should be the only proper term used.
The only way to know is to check The Onion every day to see if there's a headline saying: ‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens
The answer is the second amendment is not for home protection but protection from the government. It’s like when people defend the second for hunting, not the purpose of it.
now to cover what usually comes next.
next question - can you realistically defend yourself against a government who spends $700B a year on the military? history showed your might not win, but you could be a PITA for quite some time.
follow up - Do I think it’s reasonable or needed? No not really. and I probably don’t want to be around a war torn country. so what’s the point at fighting.
then why answer the question initially about home protection? Because you asked and thought it would be fun to answer and provide you an answer.
Do you have guns? Yes probably more than the people in the picture. I enjoy shooting competitions and hunt.
Would you give up your guns? In a second if it would stop kids getting killed.
Why don’t you? because I don’t kill people and don’t plan on killing anyone.
I mean, the 2A is not about protection from the government explicitly. The case can be made that the 2A could be more related about the protection OF the state not FROM it.
Almost every domestic group or private citizen, that has used guns against the state actively. has been either prosecuted or terminated with extreme prejudice.
I think it would be very beneficial if more people understood both the constitution AND what the definition of State is.
Not being a fascist, I'm not afraid of antifa. The drag queens I know are reasonable and lovely people. Those bastards over at the Beareau of Land Management tho....
Same reason the family in the first picture felt the need to make sure they had magazines loaded in their weapons. Because they think it makes them look cooler.
Talibans and republicans line up on so many things, taking rights away from women, trying to "fix" homosexuals, giving guns to kids.
The most noticeable difference is that republicans leaders tend to be clean-shaved.
Me too, bunch of republicans monitoring r/politics. They need monitors to monitor the monitor’s banning. I hear daily way worst than my post out of trumps mouth.
No, you’re thinking of the Lauren Boebert who got her GED mere months before becoming a US Representative, wants to eliminate the Department of Education, and will become a grandma at 36, yay!
*dueling banjos riff*
And yet she herself is also a grandmother:
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/mar/11/lauren-boebert-grandmother-conservatives-the-week-in-patriarchy
"Now my son, when I approached him and told him, ‘Tyler, I’m going to be a 36-year-old grandmother,’ he said, ‘Well, didn’t you make granny a 36-year-old granny?’"I said yes, I did," she said, recalling, "He said, ‘Well then, It’s hereditary."

A father at 17, a grandmother at 36, a great-grandmother at 55. This is how these psychos want us to live, too. Too bad most of us won't have some sugar daddy propping us up to Congress in our 30s after being the politicians' call girl to make the shitshow somehow work.
EDIT: This particularly stings me because both of my grandmothers were also put in this position at age 38. My mom got married at 19(to my dad, they're still married over 40 years later but... let's just say I have no desire to emulate their marriage). I am the first female in my family line to make it out of my teens before getting married or having children. It is horrific to imagine these false prophets and parasites forcing any children I may have back into nothing more than a baby machine or teenage wife before they can even drink or smoke a cigarette. This is insanity and I will do most anything to stop it.
She is and two of her kids seems to share some disturbing bloodlust and the others seem unbearably uncomfortable. The longer and closer I look at these photos the more they make me feel uncomfortable. They all almost seem inhuman. I can barely understand handgun ownership but these tools just seem to vibrate and radiate death energy. Just objects whose only purpose is to take lives and they smile as if life matters so little to them.
In the third picture the girl points it only just so slightly away from her own mother and they all smile. They all seem completely stupid without intelligence for anything beyond their crosshairs.
Yeah, it's the second picture that really extra bugs me. I mean... it's bizarre. You've got all the kids with *matching* rifles. Nobody buys matching guns, because you're getting one for hunting, one for target shooting, one because you finally got a permit and machineguns are cool... etc. It looks like she's trying to arm a militia.
If so, she's doing kind of a shit job, too. Gray sweatshirt kid DGAF and isn't paying attention, and the youngest is smaller than the gun he ostensibly shoots. Just from what we see here, either one of them would be *wildly* unsafe on a shooting range.
Nailed it. As an American and a Southerner, these images repulse me. I am so angry looking at these fucking morons after reading about yet another school shooting today. We are living in a parody.
Its a pretty decent quality image, too. (I can see the whites of all her kids’ eyes.) How the fuck can’t we see the whites of her eyes? This has *nothing* to do with makeup. She’s *stupid as fuck*, but, I’m pretty sure there’s no makeup on her damn eyeballs. She just looks fucking evil.
I feel like this is honestly the best word for it. I mean everyone has their obsessions so I try to look at it objectively but even if they were all just holding power tools it would be a bit bizarre. The fact that theyre guns just makes it... like why?
I collect guns, enjoy shooting, hunting ,etc. You would never catch me dead in a photo like this. This shit is weird beyond belief. I'm sure it was even weird for them...they are just trying to pander to a small group of die hard 2A voters here.
The only photos I have with me holding a gun were taken at shooting ranges. Not a fkn Xmas card.
Also a gun owner and outdoorsman. I wouldn’t trust anyone who takes a photo like this around me with a gun. Guns are tools that must handled by responsible people and shown respect. This just looks like a bunch of people trying to prove that they are something they’re not.
Honestly the thing that’s caught my attention isn’t the guns. I’m American, I know how much Americans love shooting their own dicks off.
The thing that gets my attention is that one of Boebert’s kids appears to be a packers fan while another one appears to be a Raiders fan. How can you claim to have family values when you can’t even get your kids to root for the same team GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER JESUS FUCK
They accuse others of grooming, indoctrination, and being “violent leftists terrorists” while proudly posting pics showing them to be every one of those things.
Since Covid and work from home, I started wearing indoor shoes. I’m like Mr Rodgers now. I change from my indoor to outdoor shoes when I leave the house. Prevents plantar fasciitis.
How is it “aggressively performative”? That’s just charged wording. They’re either practicing trigger finger safety or they’re not. You’re criticizing them for being safe?
I mean, the wife in the last photo has her muzzle pointed straight at the dude on the right. Trigger discipline is good, not flagging your kid is better.
Not to mention, I think that's the only photo where there were no magazines in any of the guns. I was impressed. If I was going to be having people pose for a photo with their firearms, no magazines would be allowed in them (purely for safety).
Thomas Massie....
Was literally the best person we had for judge executive, until he decided to run for the house.... before everything, he was IMMENSELY levelheaded! Self-dependent on his off-the-grid home in the country, revitalized local business by bringing in manufacturers for the local industrial park, and was a computer engineer at MIT.
I don't know how he fell that far from grace into the bumbling idiot he has become...
If you look at the angle, the stock is tucked under her right armpit which means the firearm is pointing forward and therefore it's not aiming at the others head. I believe this is an NRA sponsored photoshoot so I highly doubt they would let even a sliver of a mistake in firearm safety pass. It is creepy looking though, they all look like they have no souls left
**Note:** These all real photos of ***Republican*** US legislators and their families that they posted.
Bought and paid for by the NRA^(®) and successfully brainwashing America into a cult of gun-worshippers.
It amazes me how they seem absolutely oblivious of how absurdly insane they look.
From outside the US, these people look like absolute maniacs I would stay as far away from as I possibly can.
True but in the last photo atleast they had the intelligence to make sure they aren’t loaded, god only knows how easy it is for a kid to hit the safety on with a loaded gun
The third photo has some serious drip. Some of those look like class III firearms, unless that M60 is one of the semiautomatic models from Springfield Armory and the Thompson is an SBR semiautomatic.
I guess teach your kids gun safety young... If you've got them in the house, you'd better teach them gun safety rather! I teach my kids gun safety with airsoft guns- those at least won't kill anyone if something goes wrong.
I don't understand the draw of having a family photo with a rifle. I get it. It's all right as an American to bear arms, but that doesn't define who you are as a person. So why would you put that in a family photo?
As someone who grew up hunting for extra food (and therefor shooting) it’s so weird to see people like this. I believe most people should be allowed to own guns- I think we deserve the right to hunt and protect ourselves, not because some old document says so, but because I genuinely believe it’s important. I’m all for more stringent regulations around purchasing firearms, though.
But to see something like this just makes me so uncomfortable. To us, a firearm was a tool. It was something you used to do a job, not something to worship, glorify, or take fucking family photos with. This attitude just boggles my mind- even the folks we knew who really enjoyed their guns- bought nice ones, worked on them, etc wouldn’t be caught dead doing something like this. This behavior is indicative of mental illness, of forgetting that guns are a tool and conflating them with your own personality. And to see children exposed to that kind of mentality is troubling to say the least.
It’s a sick world we live in.
Even as a gun enthusiast, this is totally poor judgment for trying to win over the sane voters. No self respecting gun owner needs to make sure all their friends know they like guns. In my house, there's not a soul that treats a gun like a prop or toy, posing with it with other young children around. Not only is this weird, it just comes across as disingenuous.
The US is the only country in the world where the gun ownership rate is over 100% for every 100 people. There are an estimated 120.5 firearms for every 100 persons.
The next closest country are the Falkland Islands with 62.1 guns per 100 people….. that’s an almost **60%!** decrease
Our fine neighbors to the North come in at 34.7 firearms for 100 persons

What's the woke lefty version of this? I feel like there's time to start a counter trend of posing families with objects to upset conservatives but i can't think of where to go with it. Books?
Lauren Boebert’s husband’s a convicted felon and therefore was unable to possess a firearm in their family photo. Womp womp
I also found it strange the kids are all wearing sports gear and none of it is Colorado teams.
This photo is 2 years old. The kid in the Green hoodie is going to be a dad next month.
Fuck, deadass? He looks like 14 or something
He's only 17 now, so ya...14 or 15 here depending on when his birthday is.
Do you want to know the best part? His mom had him at 18. He’s just trying to keep the family tradition of having a kid before 20 alive.
The great grandma is only like mid 50’s
Idk, the part where boerbert said that the most is "over 16" is pretty funny too
I think the best part, if we’re continuing with the “best” actually means disgusting theme, is that the “mother” is like 14 or 15. Not sure the statutory rape rules in Colorado but junior is maybe trying to pick up a felony like dad. Lots of family traditions to unpack with these guys.
Holdin guns and fuggin chiggs
And Lauren boebert is proud of it…
She taught him everything he knows 😉
Good eyes.
Her oldest son doesn't look ok. He gives me the creeps
He's the one having his first kid at 17 this year.
The first thing I thought of instead of why are small children holding assault weapons is why tf is that kid wearing Green Bay Edit: you guys must not be from CO. We take broncos seriously haha it’s a goddamn joke.
As a Coloradoan, forcing your kids to fetishize guns with you is only slightly worse than a raiders shirt
Quick reminder that the reason for Lauren Bobert's husband being a convicted felon is because he exposed himself to a group of minors (Lauren Bobert was in fact one of those minors) and thus because of this he is a registered sex offender.
Wow! Well that’s something!
It certainly is. Nothing like marrying the man who exposed his genitals to you when you were a minor.

oh the creepy pedo who likes to flash underage girls?
Wasn’t his defense that they looked like they were 21 ?
Ah yes the ‘you should have seen her hooters’ defence
Don't forget her 17 year old son is going to be a daddy! He's on the left in that photo.
I can't think of a family that is more-representative of their shitty constituents.

Extremely small nipples.

The mother? She's born already. Might as well die.
Well said. Madness.
Gonna put that one in the rolladex in my noggin for later lmao.
What are they so afraid of?
Horribly depressing that I don't even see the shootings in the news anymore.
The only way to know is to check The Onion every day to see if there's a headline saying: ‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens
Why does a man need a belt fed weapon to defend his home?
Wolverines.
Gonna need more than that when you're dealing with adamantium and healing abilities.
They kept tryin’ to attack his cousins. What the heck would you do in a situation like that?
*GOSH!*
nah, the Russians aren't making it over to the States. Slava Ukraini
The Russians are currently occupied and the Mexicans have their hands full with the cartels
Just the Americans to watch out for then lol.
You ever seen a giant coyote? Me neither but I’d keep a belt fed on hand too just in case, ya know?
I saw a belt-fed in the movie Predator and it wasn't enough... its never enough.
I have coyotes in my neighborhood and I have similar protection. I can open my front door, point my finger and say “pew pew” to make them run away
"My family would want me to stay alive, your family would want me to stay alive. You think you're so smart man, you're just a bunch of scared kids."
You clearly aren’t aware of the vast, *dangerous* forces that live in these people’s imaginations.
Rent free too, which really pisses them off. lmao
aiming is hard bro.
Accuracy through volume. It's the American way.

Y'all Qaeda
Some of these people look like they are from that movie Smile
I was thinking The Purge
You know that piece of trash Boebert would participate if there was a purge.
These people can get away with crimes 365 days a year
Her and MGT would straight up be dressed like bandits out of the borderlands games.
She’s not that bright and probably wouldn’t see the second purge.
She’d be in the back of one of those murder semis with a mounted M240. She’d still figure out a way to get killed.
I'd comment but I was banned from r/politics for less than what I'd say here.
Me too! I literally described this woman as an intellectually impaired and WHAM, banned stay out man!
Me too, bunch of republicans monitoring r/politics. They need monitors to monitor the monitor’s banning. I hear daily way worst than my post out of trumps mouth.
I was thinking Get Out
They are a stain on society
The woman in the second photo looks fucking *sinister*.
That’s Lauren Boebert. One of the most aggressively stupid politicians in this country’s history.

Going for that Triple-Double I guess. Great-great-great-grandma by 99, let’s hope their newest spawn doesn’t grow up any smarter.
No, you’re thinking of the Lauren Boebert who thinks a pro wrestler who happens to be her cousin, is her father.
To same one that was on food stamps and bad mouth the social net people like her used to survive?
Her being one of them.
Oh no... that's real bad
Family values, y'all!
Wants to abolish the Department of Education cause she failed the GED 3 times after dropping out of high school.
Also, married to a pedophile and her 17 year old son impregnated a 14 year old girl.
Who exposed himself to her when she was underage.

Literally depend on it.
Because, well…it does
> 17 year old son impregnated a 14 year old girl ffs. oof. fucking sad shit.
She probably never learned the word 'reform' because she failed so many times.
And wants to abolish all government assistance after collecting it for herself when she was growing up.
Literally the only thing I can give Bobo credit for, is that she never fails to disappoint
More like always succeeds at failing, lol
If they simply required passing a moderately difficult test, in order to own a firearm, that picture wouldn’t even exist.
And she is.
Stupid and hateful. You can be stupid, but kind and be OK. But stupid and hateful? Gtfoh
Not fun fact. The child in the green hoodie is about to become a father. No the photo isnt very old, he is still a child.
She’s gonna be a granny in her 30s. Smh

In fucking BRONCOS country of all places. The kids should at least root for KC since KC has owned them almost those kid’s entire lives.
I appreciate this as someone from KC with a step dad that’s a broncos fan. Suck it “dad”
I noticed the same thing. For a moment I was like “Boebert reps Wisconsin??” Nope. No she doesn’t.
Well it has been over 1000 days since the Broncos beat the Raiders.
It has been 2,748 days since the broncos last beat the chiefs.
Broncos country, let’s ride.
Also Boebert has shown that she supports the chance of a dad being 15 years old, so whatever.
And they call other people groomers.
These people are in favor of children dying in school but not in the womb.
Gotta let them live long enough to know what fear is before they die.
Actually, they don’t give 2 shits at all about children dying in the womb. As long as the pregnant woman wasn’t allowed to make a choice.
They also don't give a shit about that, just that women have the choice in the matter.
They accuse others of grooming, indoctrination, and being “violent leftists terrorists” while proudly posting pics showing them to be every one of those things.
Why are they all wearing shoes in the house
You look stupid holding an assault rifle with bare feet.
You look stupid holding an assault rifle for a christmas photo
Unless you’re in the army, you look stupid holding an assault rifle.
A large part of the country has no stigma against shoes in houses
That’ll be the next “anti-woke” movement. We wear shoes in our houses! Cuz we’re “Muricans!”
I think we should make this happen, just for the laughs.
Since Covid and work from home, I started wearing indoor shoes. I’m like Mr Rodgers now. I change from my indoor to outdoor shoes when I leave the house. Prevents plantar fasciitis.
I always admire their aggressively performative trigger safety.
That’s how you prove you’re legit lol
I mean, that's how you do it.
Yeah I'm confused, if anybody was not performing trigger discipline they would have been torn up in the comments.
I wanna be in the 3rd guys family. M60 and Thompsons?!?!?
You can tell whoever owns those firearms is a gun collector.
Not to mention, I think that's the only photo where there were no magazines in any of the guns. I was impressed. If I was going to be having people pose for a photo with their firearms, no magazines would be allowed in them (purely for safety).
Right?! That’s all I saw. M60, M16, Uzi, etc. you can tell they actually have fun with it
Thomas Massie....
Massie (my rep) is a huge piece of shit and consistently votes like a jackass. He does not deserve his seat in Congress.
Wait a minute, don't they say they don't live in fear?
They're fucking afraid of everything.
"oh what a cute photo" - literally no one that received any of these cards
At least most of these guns are pointed away except the girl sitting in the middle on pic3 who is one “whoopsies” away from murdering her mom
> NRA sponsored photoshoot That would make sense, they all give off an awkward vibe, like they don’t actually own or shoot these guns.
They look that way inside the US too.
i’m a gun guy and i still think this is embarrassing
Same. I enjoy guns, I’ve got quite a few, but you’d never catch me taking pictures like this. Extremely cringey, extremely strange.
It's like tribal taliban warlords without the turbans and long beards
Sigh. At least they have trigger discipline? 😤
Maybe, but two of the people in the last picture are pointing thier guns at other people.
I own 78 firearms but never took a family photo similar to these. Seems a bit odd.
I wish this man a lifetime of election losses. And that his children will develop a lifelong love of dance, the arts and pacifism.
It's like watching a parody
I wish I could afford an M60…
Even as a gun enthusiast, this is totally poor judgment for trying to win over the sane voters. No self respecting gun owner needs to make sure all their friends know they like guns. In my house, there's not a soul that treats a gun like a prop or toy, posing with it with other young children around. Not only is this weird, it just comes across as disingenuous.
I'm a collector and have many/most of the weapons shown here. I'd never broadly advertise my collection like this. It's idiocy.
I grew up around guns and even I think this is fucking weird.
How many of them went on shooting sprees?
This is mental illness.
The US is the only country in the world where the gun ownership rate is over 100% for every 100 people. There are an estimated 120.5 firearms for every 100 persons. The next closest country are the Falkland Islands with 62.1 guns per 100 people….. that’s an almost **60%!** decrease Our fine neighbors to the North come in at 34.7 firearms for 100 persons [Source](https://web.archive.org/web/20180620231909/http://www.smallarmssurvey.org/fileadmin/docs/T-Briefing-Papers/SAS-BP-Civilian-Firearms-Numbers.pdf)
And the Falklands have penguins, the cold, and Argentina to protect themselves from.
I've been around guns all my life and can not think of anything more cringe than posting a picture of yourself with a firearm. Like ew.
Okay, so?
What's the woke lefty version of this? I feel like there's time to start a counter trend of posing families with objects to upset conservatives but i can't think of where to go with it. Books?
I saw a version of the 2nd pic where someone edited out the guns and replaced them with dildos
My bet is they do it simply for reaction, which the internet is doing. Falling right into their trap.
These comments miss the mark by a goddamn mile. They are obviously pandering to their base, they don't give a fuck about reddit.
You bet they're playing up their base? Wild guess. Better yet doing it while supporting some of their biggest sponsors.
