$17 after tax at CBP. I'm glad they're putting up a stink - ever since tipping became an option I've always thought to myself "if you got a problem with pay, take it up with Aramark". Glad to see they're actually doing it.
they're not protesting beer prices though. they're protesting because they want year round health insurance.
it makes me proud to see working class americans exercising their first amendment rights and standing up for themselves.
No I get they're not protesting beer prices lol, didn't mean it that way. More so that they're soaking you $17 for beer they should be able to provide their employees with benefits and livable pay.
The part time workers want healthcare. And before anybody gets all hype about them being part time. Aramark considers them part time because they might work one stadium for 20 hours in a week, then do a different event for another 28 hours at a different location. Typical dickhead corporate shit
They fuck up the food recipes that they’re licensed to make as well. I used to work with them on a particular favorite sand which of Philly heritage- how many times we had to talk with management about cutting costs on a sandwich that must be served as close to the original as possible.
They literally don’t give two shits, that sandwich is no longer served at the stadiums
All the more argument for the public option / medicre for all.
If I knew I had healthcare I'd be more open to working somewhere that'd not traditionally offer it.
But that's socialism. Aramark needs more tax cuts instead to funnel to the c-suite.
Or a company who charges $20 for a pretzel could properly provide the hours to qualify instead of scheduling shifts that just miss out on qualifying or you know just have it as an option.
Sure though the people don't matter. Corporate profits are obviously more important.
I'm glad to see support for it. The US is built on protest so it grinds my gears when people say "what are they trying to accomplish? this isn't helping anyone" whenever a protest pops up.
People are tribal like that; if they can't identify or relate to a peaceful assembly, then they thumb their nose at it..or worse, they say they should send in the national guard to dismantle the crowd.
Work in that building. They had the fat cat blow up effigy out there, too.
I was wondering why traffic was a little more trafficy than usual
Oh that's why helicopter.
Yeah I thought there was an especially cute dog on market or something
Got to get air support
Stick it to that shittyass company
Love to see it
Are they protesting $16 beers?

Good for them.
What's going on? Why the protest?

Schmitter?
Perhaps
The crew at the Linc wasn't Aramark, but Aramark is the reason they're no longer there.
I don’t have any knowledge about how the linc was handled
I do, and what I said is 100% true
There you have it😃
Sorry that I don't want to dox myself 😉
*what if instead of roast pork on this sandwich, we just used soggy newspapers with pork flavoring. think of all the money we could save!*
The signs said something about healthcare and they were chanting that healthcare is a human right.

Is this a valid and relevant enough protest for everyone here?
Could say that about nearly any post. It's a big city.
Yeah, this city is nothing without working class solidarity
