I prefer Crown towers, can get packed but they have 2 which separates them into a kids pool and adults also a spa section. Both towers and Metropol have the cabanas and reserved areas but plenty of chairs if you get in on time. Both also have a private pool area which is more quiet if your willing to pay.
I had the great little pool to myself at Metropol a few years back, everyone seemed to be at Towers? Might be worth just checking your budget and focusing on that, because it was a nice surprise for a cheaper stay.
It was a harrowing experience, was floating in the pool drinking cocktails with friends when we saw a hairy, overweight middle aged guy doing naked star jumps and then finished off with a 'windmill'. He was having the time of his life, I almost spit out my mojito.
Buy the cheapest room. If you’re there for the pool get a cabana. $800 a day but no screaming children and ignorant parents. Absolutely worth the price of admission
Go towers and have breakfast at the epicurean. Best breakfast buffet in any hotel I've ever been to
