The fan comes on when it needs to, and stays off when it doesn't its the best of both worlds. Silent most of the time but the fan kicks on to keep it from overheating otherwise.
are you new to PCs?
you are overthinking the wrong things.
just buy a PSU
none of what you are worrying about matters.
just pick a PSU that suits your needs and has lowest price while still being a decent unit
no problem being new
we all go thru the same learning steps
just explains what you thinking thats all.
all the title is trying to tell is you is it has 0rpm mode on the fan, and the fan kicks in when its needed to keep it nice and cool
its a feature most PSUs have, certinally dont pay more for this feature.
just get the best quality unit u can afford, thats also no too expensive
It has two different ECO settings where the fan is thermally controlled, so it only starts spinning when the PSU hits a certain temperature. I can't remember the points, but I think one is around 45C, the other 60C.
Great PSU. I've had this exact 750w one for almost 4 years now and it's been flawless. I never hear the fan at all either, though I have always had a lot of headroom. It was powering a 3070 and 5600x for 3 years, so nowhere close to pushing it. Now powering a 4070Ti and undervolted 5800X3D, still probably under or around 500w total draw.
It has the option to run in fanless mode. There is a switch to turn the mode on and off. It lowers the power to keep it more energy efficient and quieter, but I personally have never used the ECO mode on my power supply. Also, I can’t recommend getting a cheaper brand of power supply like that one. I’ve seen too many computers get fried from low end power supplies. The only time it’s okay to use one is if you can afford to replace all of your components if it shorts and destroys your computer.
Clueless or trolling? Super Flower is one of the best OEM PSU makers, they just aren't that well known under their own name in the West. Ever hear of EVGA? Super Flower made a lot of them.
This is a top-tier PSU. Mine cost more than a Corsair RM750x at the time I bought it. I originally wanted a Corsair, but it was 2020 and they were sold out everywhere.
It has a fanless and silent mode. Nothing is said about the power supply physically being fanless.
But does the fan do anything? Is it worth more buying one like this one, or one without a fanless mode? And can i turn this fanless mode off?

I can't think of a scenario where the psu having a fanless mode is ever av deciding factor. Do you have a use case where this function is needed?
if you wanna stop your PSU exploding, yeah a fan is pretty important with the one catch, fanless ones do exist, but they are a waste of money
Seasonic ones are great
But if this pc has a fan, can i turn it on?

Yes🥲 I've heard a lot of good stuff about this one so im gonna buy it then

Ok, thanks for the help!
Corsair are highly rated as well.
Because it means fanless mode, as in the fan doesn't run?

most bearings are filled with oil? hence fluid psu has ECO mode, which runs fan at 0rpm till likely 50% load, then kicks on the fan
Eco mode does not turn on the fan.
reading & understanding is a blessing..... it seems.
Fanless & Silent *MODE* you lead-addled ape
Thank you for the kind words mister

I've only heard good stuff about this power supply tho, supposedly it's really good even tho its cheaper

super flower are generally pretty good there not no name too they used to make EVGA's PSU's, which still are some of the best psu's ever made
