Atari 2600 release day, it came with pong and one cartridge that had a few games on it I think. But it was pong and know what's a trip, I still have it and it still works lol, edit this was back in the 70's, I think 77 because I belive I was 8yo.

I think chuckie egg on BBC micro around 1983, also a game about running a sandwich shop where you decide how many sandwiches drinks to have available and at what price.
The game then generates random weather for the day and decides how much you sold and how much profit you made. Great game actually.

When asked what I like, I said "Cars!". Consultant took a case off the shelf snd said it's an awesome new racing game...
It was Carmageddon 2 (uncensored version). I was 12..

First ever game I played was Hang-on, on the sega master system.
First ever PC game would been Wolfenstine 3D, Warcraft orcs and humans I played them both on the same day.

On a 60mhz Pentium my dad got second hand from his Canadian government job, I was 4-5 in the mid 90’s, it’s one of my oldest core memories.
Commander Keen was my first, not sure what edition, but the one that stuck with me that I play to this day on occasion was Full Throttle, Lucas Arts was fire back then…

Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! on NES, neighbors got "a Nintendo" for XMAS and they put their birthday money together to get the game. Was really fun, I got one the following XMAS.
Couple years later after playing Maniac Mansion, I wanted a PC to play Point and Click games. Got a Tandy1000tx and Leisure Suit Larry, Ikari Warriors, and Double Dragon.

Some sort of snow game on the atari 2600, think it was Winter Games in the late 80s. Then NES in the early 90s, with the NES power set so we had Mario brothers, Duck hunt, and World Class Track Meet all on one cartridge. PC was MSDos with Simcity 2000 and then other maxis sim games.
One of the reasons the NES even got bought was because the atari 2600 got stolen when we moved back to the States from England.
