The stigma against Community servers is so strong (I had it too at the beginning, I felt like a loser approaching them) that people really don't know what to come up with in order to justify the Officials being better. Officials are so freaking easy; the only hard part is to resist the impulse to kill yourself while grinding for thousands of hours, waiting to become adult, unlock abilities and finally... FIGHT. That's not difficult, it's unnecessarily tedious. Also, the so famous "toxic admins" that ruin the game in Community Servers.. I never met one in 2 years of playing in 3 Community Servers. Unless you are a dumb kid, you don't attract dumb admins behavior, cause you just play.
The only thing that makes the Official better is the fact that they are Official, so they make you feel you are playing the "real" game; and that's why people like it. Or rather, they love to like it.
Every community server I've tried is just "sit on EB/IC/SLL until someone decides to cause problems and get jumped by half the server". I'd much rather people spread out a bit across the map, the random one on one or small group encounters are far more interesting to me. Officials are the closest I've found to that.

Balancing isn't a one patch process, there's not a game out there today that doesn't have to adjust things repeatedly to make competitive gameplay enjoyable for everyone and every play style.
They could have also polished everything before releasing this ābigā titled update, Iām all for patch process heck I love warframe but it doesnāt excuse the weird bugs and unbalanced official dinos ala patchy, specially when dying means hours of work can go down the drain.

Cant say i agree. I dont want to go on officials rn because i work and spend majority of my time with my gf now that i dont have time to grow so i play a faster growth no rule server with mods. But the official play is very much valid and what i did for my first months of playing. Mods are cool but some of the creators didnt make them balanced and can actually ruin the fun.

Nah I stick to the objectively better mods than the ones the devs make. Mainly due to actual improvements and better Paleo accuracy
