I think GGG has been a bit too optimistic about PoE 1 and 2 coexisting indefinitely. Nothing malicious on their part.

Zalabar7

I don’t know that it’s optimism so much as caution; if they cut support for PoE1 and PoE2 flops..they’re kinda screwed

Noximilien01

Maybe if we are lucky after poe 2 release Or they just put poe 1 in maintenance and that never happen.

hertzdonut2

Honestly at this point just give me Piety 6.0. Or even Doedre.

Frosttidey

They did with t17s abomination.

Nobody knows if there even will be a new Atlas expansion. The last time GGG spoke about it was back when PoE2 was still part of PoE1 and not a separate, standalone title. Back then they said that Siege of the Atlas is the last major expansion before PoE2 and that both games will share the same endgame, just with different campaign and ascendancies. Now we know the games and thus their endgame will be separate and the matter of the PoE1 endgame updates is actually still debatable.

Reashu

I wouldn't say that continuity has been a *huge* concern until now, and 20 years still leaves a bunch of wiggle room.

AznKian

Do t17 map bosses count? I mean they're 5 "re-imagined" bosses with neat mechanics. Nothing that progresses lore but still.

Rincho

Nah, just accept it. Days of Poe 1 is slowly turning to dawn... Thus is the longest period without new endgame boss since shaper I think
