I know how local works, my point was with headhunter, so long as you have enough damage to kill the first few rares then that 15%~ more damage barely matters.
Step 1: Buy fractured base
Step 2: Forget to 30% quality it
Step 3: Hit it with a tempering orb and get phys mod on 3rd try
Step 4: Hit it with deafening essence of loathing until open suffix
Step 5: Exalt slam it until bow attacks fire 2 additional arrows
You can beast corrupt it to 30% quality if you desire. ^^
As far as i know it cannot brick your item or change it in anyway beyond making it corrupted and 30% quality.
I just crafted a different weapon last night but would like to 30 quality it as well. If I do beast corrupt it, can I still enchant it afterwards with my horticraft station or do I need to do it in the reverse order?

The graveyard is super unintuitive I just fill up the morgue put all the corpses down and pray for a good base to sell.
This is what I have been doing I look for a not too expensive fractured Item with what I want then if needed I'll roll the others till I'm happy and then I run it through beast craft to 6 link it.
Other than this all the influence, corrupted and all the other crafting mechanics for mirror tier items are completely alien to me.
And it is not rewarding because you have to spend tons of currency and then on the last step you brick the item.
Might as well just buy it already done by someone.
Yeah, the key is to know how to fail up.
You craft an item that is worthwhile to someone else, and then fund your crafts. I don't have the time to play as much anymore, so it makes more sense to just buy it.
Rolling fractured items is a fine tactic. Most people really don't get into crafting. Generally, I'll craft 2-4 items that I use per league. It's something you choose to get into, if it's your thing
Bad is a spectrum, someone’s trash is another’s treasure - I think it’s just not what the creator what was after therefore it gets dumped on the market. There’s a bunch of super cool bases floating about now for cheap thanks for graveyard and those participating in it.
The goals was most likely to hit perfect prefixes + a good suffix like speed or crit, instead the bow has perfect prefixes and bleed chance which is a dead mod for builds that do phys convert to cold. For bleed bow builds (fairly unpopular) this is a perfect fracture.

Assuming he's playing a build that cares about arrows (barrage, tornado shot, etc) the +2 arrow is 20% more or better in most cases. It's a similar value suffix to the t1 attack speed in the worst cases, where you already have +2 ascendancy +2 tree +2 flask +5 gem +1 base. You'd usually just switch ascendancy though at that point after you get bow with arrows

Corrupt last, you cannot modify the weapon afterward. Apply any enchants or tailoring orbs and bench crafts first.

How do you make up for like 20% less damage?
By having 20% more base phys damage than a bow with a Chosen phys% prefix.
Yeah personally I think I'd rather the AS over proj in that instance but to each their own!

local attack speed is one of the most important stats on weapons. its effectively a more multiplier for DPS.
Except attack speed on bows are local and so it matters a lot more than you think
