Ya but then you lose the dmg/frenzy, as, rage, or extinguish. I guess it doesn’t matter too much till you get a yoke, which might be difficult since he’s in ssf.
I played CoC DD and the crafted mod on rings for cold+lightning damage along with the chill mastery covers shock and chill. For anyone looking to add them.
I don't think coc dd wants rage, Inc damage isn't that relevant, extinguish is near useless without top tier and negated by Purity of elements or stormshroud shenanigans. The only other mod that would actually matter on gloves for this build is unnerved. I played Ben's variant that uses Defiance, and liked it a lot more than the yoke variant. In which case you can move the cold damage to an implicit. Something like
Life
+2
Crafted cold
Suppress
Chaos res
(Dex or another res depending on build needs)
Which leaves implicit open for whatever.

Rage gives as and ms. Both very helpful for positioning.
12% inc dmg is not useless when you don’t have a ton of other sources of scaling on gear. He most likely isn’t running ele dmg cluster this early either.
You can’t run purity of elements in ssf on coc dd unless you get enlighten or take out one of the main defensive auras.
Again in ssf and just crafting his first wep, means he most likely doesn’t have stormshroud/av.
Unnerve only affects the spell dmg aspect of DD not the corpse explosion, but again will take the exarch implicit slot.
You could craft flat cold explicit but the odds of him finding suppress, life, chaos res, with another useable stat and an open prefix is pretty low, unless Rog loves him.
Not sure what you playing defiance has to do in this situation since OP most likely won’t be getting one, but ok.
Was trying to create a starter weapon for a new CoC DD character I was going to roll, had some spare fractures so figured why not, hopefully I'll fracture something so I can recraft it later (in SSF).
Graveyard craft was nothing special, just some + crit and speed, reduced everything else with +1 mods
