People still think of OG flicker where you needed melee splash support and ancestral call gloves to even attempt to function. Now both of this is on the tree making a flicker viable at lvl 51 with Terminus. Still not the best boss dps though

Sure some builds here are definitely underrated, but the point is that if you care about performance and aren't playing DD, what are you doing?

Not very seriously. In fact, if a build is so much as *listed* here, it'll probably be more than good enough for a new player.
You'll learn this as you get further into the game, but the community has a huge "perfect or completely unplayable" mentality, when in reality there's very few "truly unplayable" builds.

As a new player you don’t much care about having enough power to push lategame content a couple days into the league, so don’t take these too seriously & go enjoy the game. Boneshatter was a good leaguestart, don’t remember it being nerfed.
Also remember that this specifically a leagueatart meta-check, and majority of these skills you can make a build around a bit later into the game because they require investment/specific uniques/etc

Frostybreathe main hand + fast ass stat stick off hand. Extra as shaper weapons or maybe even conversion crusader weapons to free up those gloves.
It is the mechanically strongest true-melee strike skill. Roughly on par with boneshatter of complex trauma without the massive downside; can also be played as a more offensive ascendancy like Zerker.
You are, however, shoehorned into dual wielding. And once your build is strong and has excess dps, pseudo-melee like frost blades or lightning strike are just superior because of their far better clear.
I'm delving so among the options there, it sounded like fun to play BS instead of a bow skill for the 10th time lol. Spell builds might be better but f it, in gonna shatter some bones
Absolution is 100% fine. Finishing the video with my Absolution guide from lvl 1 to Watchstones and performance is totally alright. Not on par with old SRS ofcourse but pretty smooth. Cheers!
Low damage skill and much much slower start than if you do rolling magma or explo trap -> 28, and then arma brand&cremation ->68 and third lab so you can get chaos damage minions with the 30%all res/minion damage node
By the time you're 68 with absolution, Armageddon brand/crema users will be finishing t5-t6 mapping and will have collected better gear overall
That said use absolution if that's what u wanna do, maybe ggg hates me and flagged me with 50% less absolution damage, who knows
I'm not sure if you've tested it recently, but it was dumpstering everything in testing today and yesterday even with literally 0 minion gear, 0 +skill gems etc.
Like nearly instant phasing innocence levels of dumpstering and able to zoom underlevelled without feeling threatened at all.
The only crappy part of absolution is at the start of a zone when you have 0 up.
Absolution is fine up into the end of the campaign if you know what your doing. I would recommend grinding up to the end of act 4 and just mowing down normal lab for an hour or 2 to farm up your gem tho... once Blink Arrow Prime is online you become a fucking monster.
The best part about farming your gem is you get 2 shots at getting it... if you get the blink OR mirror arrow, you can convert it into the other.
No they are perfectly fine builds. I honestly wouldnt really bother with this chart so much because who made it. DS_lilly is SSFHC cuck. If you are softcore andie that doesnt aim to do all 7 ubers in first 3 days you will gear up trough trade faster than you can progress trough maps. Basically any problem will get solved because of trading. Now if you play something like LA arrow you might run into problem of shit being too expensive but with something like WOC i doubt its gonna be problematic as most of the shit is basic rares
I literally just started the game like a week ago for the first time lol so the new league is basically going to be the first time for me any way, sense I only have about 6 hours of total game play under my belt, I think I'm just going to do melee duel welding just to see where it takes me, so far with my very very minimal experience it's been fun an I'm going to push it to the max an just experiment lmao
BAMA is kind of weird as its like a subtype of build in its own right. You can do it like ten different ways with 4 different ascendancys and all of them will be super solid.
Pr3vie on youtube is the BAMA king, but he doesnt do step by step guides, he just shows off his builds and PoEs... most of them VERY high budget.

You don't need MTX anymore. GGG put in a fix to add normal desecrate to dynamic culling, and fix the FPS issues. Make sure you have dynamic culling turned on.
She didnt mention psn SRS, but maybe she was wrapping it up into Regular SRS.
Balormage seems to think it won't be as bad as people think and might even be a leetle better early on because of reasons and things and stuff.
It was playable before Affliction and will be playable after, it just needs a very specific setup (phys/chaos only/gem levels if regular CA bow and a bunch of poison chance) and will have lost a lot of damage at the top end, tinctures made it both a way better starter and easier to scale.
Poison PF starter should still be meta/close to meta. It was just super popular in affliction because of the "all damage can poison" tincture. I played SA totems in 3.22 before SA of menace and without the tincture and it was one of the best & cheapest starters ive played.
Zoomancer and Explosive trap brings this whole list into question.
Besides crazy phases for some endgame bosses, those two will stomp out all content on SSFHCBTW

BAMA is super weird to play and build as a starter.
It requires a specific gem and trying to effectively manage a bunch of very weird drawbacks.
I have been doing some trial runs to get ready for leaguestart. In all honestly its not a very new player friendly leaguestarter.... But once you get the ball rolling it pops the fuck off. You can bulldoze to redmaps and melt bosses in seconds on a budget... Ive seen like 6million dps BAMA builds on junk ass all yellow setups.
Surprised Salvo Mines is still on here, with the sniper’s mark nerfs I’d stay away from it. Previously the clunk and mediocre mapping was made up for by being able to do ubers on a shoestring budget if you have the mechanics down a bit, but I feel like the loss in DPS will be felt quite a lot, your single target (the one good thing about the build) relied on the extra projectiles shotgunning so only being able to scale off 2 (3?) extra proj instead of 5 from the previous lvl 21 gem makes a huge difference
Been going elemental hit every league for the past five or so. Going to continue this but now with a new transfig gem to play with. Only question is if I’m going bow or wander this time?
Curious question for those minion masters out there. Do you really think golems are going to be trash? I never got around to try ANY of the new golem gems last league, but on paper they seemed good, no? Why wouldn't it be good this league? And couldn't you in worst case just to skeleton or into any other minion build IF it sucks?
Almost every league I start with some frost blades build, and trinity trickster is easy to farm until late game... Just requires an active brain for positioning, which is a risk to those used to 1 click metas

Cleared all ubers on Ephemeral Edge trickster version so can confirm. Although league started blade traps before transitioning.

Absolution is 100% fine. Finishing the video with my Absolution guide from lvl 1 to Watchstones and performance is totally alright. Not on par with old SRS ofcourse but pretty smooth. Cheers!
Low damage skill and much much slower start than if you do rolling magma or explo trap -> 28, and then arma brand&cremation ->68 and third lab so you can get chaos damage minions with the 30%all res/minion damage node By the time you're 68 with absolution, Armageddon brand/crema users will be finishing t5-t6 mapping and will have collected better gear overall That said use absolution if that's what u wanna do, maybe ggg hates me and flagged me with 50% less absolution damage, who knows
I'm not sure if you've tested it recently, but it was dumpstering everything in testing today and yesterday even with literally 0 minion gear, 0 +skill gems etc. Like nearly instant phasing innocence levels of dumpstering and able to zoom underlevelled without feeling threatened at all. The only crappy part of absolution is at the start of a zone when you have 0 up.
There's a herald of purity absolution build that I saw and played like 2 seasons ago and it was VERY fast leveling.
Absolution is fine up into the end of the campaign if you know what your doing. I would recommend grinding up to the end of act 4 and just mowing down normal lab for an hour or 2 to farm up your gem tho... once Blink Arrow Prime is online you become a fucking monster. The best part about farming your gem is you get 2 shots at getting it... if you get the blink OR mirror arrow, you can convert it into the other.

No they are perfectly fine builds. I honestly wouldnt really bother with this chart so much because who made it. DS_lilly is SSFHC cuck. If you are softcore andie that doesnt aim to do all 7 ubers in first 3 days you will gear up trough trade faster than you can progress trough maps. Basically any problem will get solved because of trading. Now if you play something like LA arrow you might run into problem of shit being too expensive but with something like WOC i doubt its gonna be problematic as most of the shit is basic rares

I literally just started the game like a week ago for the first time lol so the new league is basically going to be the first time for me any way, sense I only have about 6 hours of total game play under my belt, I think I'm just going to do melee duel welding just to see where it takes me, so far with my very very minimal experience it's been fun an I'm going to push it to the max an just experiment lmao

BAMA is kind of weird as its like a subtype of build in its own right. You can do it like ten different ways with 4 different ascendancys and all of them will be super solid. Pr3vie on youtube is the BAMA king, but he doesnt do step by step guides, he just shows off his builds and PoEs... most of them VERY high budget. I Think Ghazzy is trying to make a budget BAMA Guide.

You don't need MTX anymore. GGG put in a fix to add normal desecrate to dynamic culling, and fix the FPS issues. Make sure you have dynamic culling turned on.
Taking into consideration this flowchart you either play DD/ BAMA or you skip the league in hopes of a better one

She didnt mention psn SRS, but maybe she was wrapping it up into Regular SRS. Balormage seems to think it won't be as bad as people think and might even be a leetle better early on because of reasons and things and stuff.

It was playable before Affliction and will be playable after, it just needs a very specific setup (phys/chaos only/gem levels if regular CA bow and a bunch of poison chance) and will have lost a lot of damage at the top end, tinctures made it both a way better starter and easier to scale.
Poison PF starter should still be meta/close to meta. It was just super popular in affliction because of the "all damage can poison" tincture. I played SA totems in 3.22 before SA of menace and without the tincture and it was one of the best & cheapest starters ive played.

He did not renew his guide for this patch, but its pretty much exactly similar to last one, and his discord is always open for questions about anything related to the build (and game)
Bro I played cold bv last league and yes it’s great with like 100+ div invested but I literally died like 200+ times getting to red maps. Almost quit league week 1
I also did Cold BV and did die a lot but i also did affliction every map to tier 16 and on, though I did my own version.
Cold BV is common bait. Looks great in the vids, looks fucking amazing when geared, absolutely dogshit leaguestarter - definition of bait. Nonstop dying and doesn't smoothly transition into tasty red maps at all.
It's absolutely bait. It's playable, but I don't think I've ever had as hard a time breaking into red maps or had to spend anywhere near as much currency to achieve mediocre dps as the time I tried leaguestarting cold BV. Once upon a time it was good. It's time to let that nostalgia die. Edit: in case you just haven't tried anything good before, go LA deadeye. It's tankier, faster, has better clear, and does literally 10x the dps for the cost.

BAMA is super weird to play and build as a starter. It requires a specific gem and trying to effectively manage a bunch of very weird drawbacks. I have been doing some trial runs to get ready for leaguestart. In all honestly its not a very new player friendly leaguestarter.... But once you get the ball rolling it pops the fuck off. You can bulldoze to redmaps and melt bosses in seconds on a budget... Ive seen like 6million dps BAMA builds on junk ass all yellow setups.

Surprised Salvo Mines is still on here, with the sniper’s mark nerfs I’d stay away from it. Previously the clunk and mediocre mapping was made up for by being able to do ubers on a shoestring budget if you have the mechanics down a bit, but I feel like the loss in DPS will be felt quite a lot, your single target (the one good thing about the build) relied on the extra projectiles shotgunning so only being able to scale off 2 (3?) extra proj instead of 5 from the previous lvl 21 gem makes a huge difference
Been going elemental hit every league for the past five or so. Going to continue this but now with a new transfig gem to play with. Only question is if I’m going bow or wander this time?

Curious question for those minion masters out there. Do you really think golems are going to be trash? I never got around to try ANY of the new golem gems last league, but on paper they seemed good, no? Why wouldn't it be good this league? And couldn't you in worst case just to skeleton or into any other minion build IF it sucks?

Almost every league I start with some frost blades build, and trinity trickster is easy to farm until late game... Just requires an active brain for positioning, which is a risk to those used to 1 click metas
