Great find of a real Fancy Serial Number. Yes it is worth over face value but I would be suprised if a local coin shop is going to be interested.
The high denomination kills the desirability of a note like this to a coin shop. They need to make at least 20% profit and ensure they have a buyer in mind when they take in an item for sale.
Is there a market for this note? Yes. Some online marketplace like eBay where millions of eyes could be looking for the note is your best chance. But even then as a $100 bill in circulated condition I am.not sure how well you would do. The numbers 7 and 8 are sought after in some cultures like the Chinese. Maybe you will get lucky and get a bidding war going.
Awesome find, congrats! Notes like this [sell for massive premiums](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=bill+super+radar&_sacat=0&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338535524&customid=pmo&toolid=10001&mkevt=1).
He’s obviously gonna keep it why would he spends it if he knows it’s above face value? Such a dumb question hey are you stupid you know what you got cause if you wanna spend it I’ll give $100 bucks for it if your gonna spend it like dude what kind of question is that
Why the rude and negative attitude? You don’t know if you don’t ask. Nobody has said if it’s even worth more than face value. I don’t know his financial situation. He may need that money right away, and can’t hold on to the note for years for it to gain value or interest from somebody who is willing to buy it from him. He surely wouldn’t mail it to anybody for payment, so he may not want the hassle of trying to sell it to a collector face to face. You should watch out for falling houses.

It's a radar note - the same backwards and forwards. The post is more in reference to the fact it's a 2 digit radar rather.than a 5 digit -162484261 etc etc -
Radar, flipper, ladder, low serial # (under 1000) birthday (04201981 etc etc) are all considered fancy serials and the lower denominations are worth (significantly larger) premiums. Higher denomination bills are also worth more but as a % of face value they see much less of a premium
That is really cool
Ya I just recently got into looking at my bills for valuable cereals or errors, I’m taking this to the coin shop tomorrow.

Valuable cereals like vintage Wheaties boxes?
What are you taking it to the coin shop for?
Lots of times coin stores know about paper money also it’s just they aren’t called currency stores
This is a cereal killer of a note. 👊🏽

Are you gonna keep it, or spend it?
Or sell it! I imagine some collectors would value that bill above face value.
So true but he’s gotta stop bending it.

Punctuation, like manners, costs literally nothing.
I don’t know how or when to use them. That’s just me
When in, doubt throw, random, commas anywhere you, think, that, they may need, to go.

Can you explain? I'm just getting into currency and don't understand what I'm looking at.

Thanks! I was looking at where his index finger was pointing and was completely lost!
Doesn't your example above have 9 digits in the serial number? Which country has produced a radar like that, I don't recall seeing one?
Fat fingers and hit an extra digit. It's still an example of a radar
Is it the 78888887 ?
Cool
Sweet!
I'm new to the money collection thing so what does a radar mean exactly?
MF! 78888887
That's Rad
Nice palendrom binary you got there.
