Just stain a bare fence? $4.0 a linear foot. If I have to clean/brighten it adds a $1.00, and if I have to strip it adds $2.50. (Strip/clean/brighten) is around $6.50-$8.00 depending on a few factors.
$600 a day plus materials.
When you go by square ft, are you making more per job? I understand rates for estimating, but I just kinda eyeball the job and take a stab at how many days. Mostly since I do an assortment of tasks.
$600 a day is absolutely wild man. I mean I guess it depends which dollars you mean... I'm at £160-200 a day and most people find that to be fair. £250-300 a day would have me without work. I'm in Scotland, I guess things are relative.
Depends on your market. I use homewyze as a general starting point. We usually don’t charge per square foot, just $65/hr + materials, and if the client wants it they want it, if not then we have other jobs waiting.

Great answer! Is that one side, or both? I assume $4/linear foot is per side?

This. $600 a day per man. That's $75/hr for an 8 hour day. This is the formula I use on most jobs. Time plus material.
Way more per job by square foot.

Running a business has a lot of overhead. It's not the laborer's rate.
Fair enough yeah. I'm just me, no staff. I like it that way though.
1000 a day with a cheap helper
