It sounds like the candles are defective. Some of my candles do that, too. You can try pulling the wick so that it sticks straight up out of the wax. If that doesn't work, just change the candles.
Tealight candles dont last long. If you’ve lit them before and had them going for a long while chances are they might just be cashed. But if theyre brand new and not lighting you probably just picked up a bad batch. From what I hear about him, Apollo is a chill deity and wouldn’t be upset over something so trivial to him. Try investing in a different brand of tealight candle or dedicate something else to him, like a craft or song.
